The maintenance of the DissoPrep X8 has significant influence
for the precision of the dosage and the life time. That´s why
RIGGTEK recommends to attend to following points:
1. regular cleaning of the DissoPrep X8
2. regular / periodical exchange of the filter, frit and tubings
3. yearly maintenance including Validation through authorized service
technician

DissoPrep X8
1. regular cleaning
A periodical cleaning of the DissoPrep X8 has be be arranged. The intervals of the
cleaning depend on the following individual factors:
• the kind of used media (especially if using foaming media the cleaning interval should
be arranged shorter)
• the frequency of using the DissoPrep X8
• the whole volume of media, which is prepared with the DissoPrep X8
By a regular cleaning the growth of bacteria is avoided.
For cleaning can be used DI-water in the AUTOWASH-function. To prevent possible
bacterial growth, it´s possible to use very effective 0,2% sodium-hypo-chlorid or more
compatible 5% hydrogen-peroxid as washing liquid. This cleaning is harmless fot the

RIGGTEK recommends in general the weekly cleaning with DI-water and the
AUTOWASH-function. Only if a bacterial growth is very probably, the monthly cleaning
with 5 liters of 5% hydrogen-peroxid as inlet media
• for one complete run (PREFILL, FILL, DISPENSE, EMPTYING) at 37°C or
• for theAUTOWASH-function with 2 cleaning-cycles with each 2500ml cleaning volume.
For rinsing RIGGTEK recommends to use 5l DI-water for an additional complete run at
37°C or for an additional use of the AUTOWASH-function with 2 cl eaning-cycles with
each 2500ml cleaning volume.
filter at the inlet channel and for the transparent PVC-tubings, which only may become a
little bit milky. For rinsing DI-water is recommended.
The cleaning can be done with
1. two complete runs (PREFILL, FILL, DISPENSE, EMPTYING). In the first run with the
cleaning liquid in the inlet media. In the second run with DI-water in the inlet media for
rinsing.
2. or with the AUTOWASH-function (if available).

2. regular / periodical exchange of the filter, frit and tubings
The regular / periodical exchange of the filter (filter capsule) prevents the
DissoPrep X8 that harmful particals can enter and together with the regular
exchange of the tubings bacterial growth is avoided.
The regular / periodical exchange of the frit (outlet) secures the precision of

The regular / periodical exchange of the frit (outlet) secures the precision of
the dosing and that low gases are re-aerated in the media while dosing into
the vessels. Recommendation:
• complete inlet tubing incl. filter (= filter capsule) – exchange every 12 months – articel-
no. DPX-INLETMED-C
• filter – exchange every 6 months or 5.000 liter – articel-no. SAR-559132P5-OO
• additive inlet tubing – exchange every 12 months – articel-no. DPX-INLETACID-C
• outlet tubing (also for Remote Control Nozzle) – exchange every 12 months – articel-
no. DPX-INLETACID-C
• frit – exchange every 6 months or 5.000 liter – articel-no. DPX-OUT-FRIT

3. yearly maintenance
A lot of people want to save money by not doing a regular
maintenance. But even the best quality of a unit can not avoid
normal abrasion.And often people forget, that the consequential
costs are mainly much higher than the costs of regular maintenance.
To mention are:

To mention are:
• incalculable costs caused by increased probability of failure
• expensive repairs caused by missed exchange of wearing parts
• higher investments caused by shortened life time because of missing regular
maintenance through service technicans
The considerable points at a maintenance are summarized for the service
technicans at the „Maintenance Checklist for DPX8“ (see DPX8 Service
Manual, chapter 6.2). Following these instructions will avoid common abrasion
problems.
