Introduction
The EMPTYING Mode back flushes all Solenoid Valves of the DissoPrep X8 (DPX 8) except of the Solenoid Valve
MV8. MV8 is used for the Acid Inlet (Additive Inlet Channel) and is excepted of the backwashing because of
reasons of safety. One backwashing can only be forced by manual intervention into the electrical power supply of
the Solenoid Valve.
On the Main Interface Board (MIB) of the DPX 8 there is one block with 10 slots for the 10 Solenoid Valves MVn
(cp. Illustration 1). The plugs of the MVn are labeled.

The AUTOWASH Mode of Firmware Versions ≥ .202 enables one simple backwashing of the Solenoid Valve
MV8 by confirmation of two questions when performing the AUTOWASH Mode. Please also read the Operation

There are two different possibilities to start the AUTOWASH Mode:
1. Selecting the AUTOWASH Mode with the MINUS Key in the SETUP;
or
2. Selecting the AUTOWASH Mode with the MINUS Key in the EMPTYING Mode when overjumping the
emptying steps and EmptALL with the MINUS Key.
After starting the AUTOWASH the user has 2 possibilities to specify the AUTOWASH Mode and perform a
backwashing. „useADD ?“ is asking for use of the Additive Tube, „useBckF?“ is asking for back flushing the Water
Inlet and Additive Tube.

After selection of the specification possibilities the AUTOWASH Mode starts automatically.
The AUTOWASH Mode passes through „OutTb 1“, InTubW 1“, „OutTb 2“, „InTubW 2“. The 5th AUTOWASH
step depends on the specification made. If „useADD“ and „useBckF“ was affirmed, the Additive Tube is flushed
during the „InTubW“ steps, the Water Inlet and Additive Tube are back flushed and „EmptALL“ is displayed as
step five.
