Getting Started
Place mount against windshield or on
top of dash.
Secure mount by pushing the lever
towards the base into the lock position.

Place your iPhone or iPod touch in
the dock.
Adjust RW GPS Car Kit position for
either vertical or horizontal viewing.

Activating the RW GPS Car Kit
To operate the RW GPS Car Kit, plug in the 5V USB power cable; both GPS and Bluetooth functions
can then be used. When your iPhone or iPod touch is plugged into the RW GPS Car Kit with power
present, it will immediately charge the device.

Volume Control Bluetooth Control

Hands Free Calling via Bluetooth
Initial Set-Up (Bluetooth Pairing)
Hands free calling on your iPhone using the
RW GPS Car Kit requires a Bluetooth connection.
Once a connection is established, your iPhone will
automatically pair itself with the RW GPS Car Kit
when it is in range and powered.
1. Tap Settings on the main screen of
your iPhone.
2. Tap General, then Bluetooth.
3. Switch on Bluetooth.
4. RW GPS Car Kit will appear on the list of
Bluetooh devices found. Tap RW GPS Car
Kit, then Done.
Making & Receiving Calls
Your iPhone's calling functions work as they normally do
while your iPhone is docked in the RW GPS Car Kit.
1. Enter the phone number and press Call.
2. Hear and converse with the call recipient-hands
free-through the RW GPS Car Kit.
3. Press End when you have finished your
conversation.
Disabling Bluetooth
Hold the Bluetooth button down for five seconds.

Making Voice Activated Calls
(not a function of your iPhone 3G)
1. Click the Bluetooth Button once to activate
your iPhone voice dialing function.
2. Make your dialing request. (Double click to
redial the number.)
3. Hear and converse with the call recipient
through the RW GPS Car Kit.
4. Click the Bluetooth button once to end
the call.
Receiving Calls
Click the Bluetooth button on the RW GPS Car Kit:
• 1x to accept a call
• 2x to ignore a call
Ending Calls
Click the Bluetooth button on the RW GPS Car Kit
1x to end a call.
Advanced Functions for Your iPhone 3G, 3GS, & 4
Your iPhone 3G, 3GS or 4 does NOT have to be in the RW GPS Car Kit to work. Your iPhone could be in your
pocket, purse, backseat, etc. and it will connect with the RW GPS Car Kit via Bluetooth.

Music playback through your stereo
For music playback on your iPhone or iPod touch via your car stereo, connect the RW GPS
Car Kit to your stereo using a 3.5mm mini stereo audio cable (sold separately).

Releasing your iPhone or iPod touch
To release your iPhone or iPod touch
from the RW GPS Car Kit, press the
button on the upper left corner of
the kit. This will release the upper
clamp, enabling you to easily remove
your iPhone or iPod.

RightWay GPS Car Kit Tool
Before calling customer service, please download
the RW GPS Car Kit Tool App. This utility app will help
determine:
• if a proper connection has been established
• whether a satellite signal is being received
• the strength of a satellite signal
This information can be helpful in identifying
performance problems.
This application may be downloaded for FREE on your
iPhone or iPod touch via the App Store
GPS Kit has been paired with your iPhone,
but is not connected.
If the RW GPS Car Kit is paired but does not connect,
press and hold the Bluetooth button for 1 second.
Your iPhone or iPod touch is in the RW GPS
Car Kit, but not receiving satellite data.
Remove your iPhone or iPod touch from the RW GPS
car kit and re-seat it on the connector.
You hear alternator noise or a hum when
using the 3.5mm stereo audio cable and
the vehicle is running.
Consider using a ground loop isolator (sold
separately). By installing a ground loop isolator the
alternator noise will be filtered.

GPS Kit has been paired with your iPhone,
but is not connected.
If the RW GPS Car Kit is paired but does not connect,
press and hold the Bluetooth button for 1 second.
Your iPhone or iPod touch is in the RW GPS
Car Kit, but not receiving satellite data.
