Connector View
The available connectors on the FollowMe Terminal are explained in the following table:
Connector
Physical
Connections
Description
LAN
2
The LAN provides the network connectivity to the
FollowMe Terminal.
Unlike other FollowMe network products, the FollowMe
Terminal features a built-in HUB, rather than a pass-
through network interface, meaning both LAN ports act
the same, allowing either the LAN or Device to be
attached in any which way.
USB
2
The USB provides connections for the various FollowMe
card reader and fingerprint readers which the Terminal
supports.
Power
1
The power connector is used to supply 12-15VDC power
to the FollowMe Terminal.

A typical configuration where the FollowMe Terminal is used is shown by the following diagram.
In this configuration, the FollowMe Terminal has both its
LAN ports attached, one to the main network and the
other to the Copier, Printer or MFP.
The card reader is attached via USB to the FollowMe
Terminal, and this could also be a USB fingerprint
reader or other supported USB authentication device.
