Congratulations on your purchase of a new Ocean Search tide watch. Your
watch has been specifically designed to help you score the best surf. Tide
information for 200 preset beaches, future tide function, moon phase,
timer, stop watch, dual time, alarms, light...enjoy!
DESCRIPTION OF MODES AND DISPLAYS.
TIDE / DATE / TIME MODE
- Note: You set local time,
date and other basic set up
functions in this mode.
(See setting procedure)
TIDE MODE (WITH FUTURE TIDE PREDICTION)
- In this mode you select and
set your beach from the
200 preset locations, it
will display tide information
until Dec 2022. This mode
also allows you to create
a custom location by placing an offset average to any of the 200
beaches. Or create a completely new “spot X” using our ATS tide
averaging system. This mode also includes our patented FUTURE tide
prediction feature.

NOTE: SPECIAL FEATURES:
1.In any mode holding the light button for 2 seconds will return the watch
to TIDE/DATE/TIME mode.
2.We have given the TIDE/DATE/TIME mode a different key tone, this means
even in the dark you can always find this mode.
3.The LIGHT stays on for 3 seconds but if you continually press other buttons
the light will stay on until a button hasn’t been pushed for 3 seconds.

TIME AND DATE SETTING
- Ensure you are in TIDE/DATE/TIME mode.
- HOLD MODE/SET in for 2 seconds to enter setting.

- Press MODE/SET to advance through Year, Month, Day/date, Hour,
Minute, Seconds, Date format, 12 or 24 hr format, Hourly chime, Key
tone and Feet or Meters.
- Press START/STOP to increase. Press LAP/RESET to decrease.
- Once complete, you must HOLD MODE/SET in for 2 seconds again to exit
setting mode and save any adjustments.
DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME (DST) SETTING
- Ensure you are in TIDE/DATE/TIME mode.
- HOLD START/STOP in for 5 seconds and your watch will automatically
adjust to Daylight Savings Time. DST icon will appear in the bottom left
corner of your watch.
NOTE: At the start and end of DST season you MUST use the DST function as it corrects
the current time, and TIDE time to be DST correct.
DUAL TIME SETTING
- Ensure you are in TIDE/DATE/TIME mode.
- Press LAP/RESET to VIEW the second time zone.
- HOLD LAP/RESET in for 5 seconds to change to the second time zone, T2
icon will appear and stay displayed in the bottom left hand corner of your
watch. When in T1 no icon is visible in the screen.
TIDE SETTING
- Press MODE/SET to advance to TIDE MODE.
- HOLD MODE/SET in for 2 seconds to enter beach setting.
- To toggle between REGIONS use START/STOP & LAP/RESET.
When you find desired region press MODE/SET.
- Use START/STOP & LAP/RESET to toggle through to your desired COUNTRY.
Press MODE/SET to lock in your country.
- Use START/STOP & LAP/RESET to toggle to desired BEACH.
- HOLD MODE/SET in for 2 seconds to save selected beach.
- Once you set your beach you can use the START/STOP & LAP/RESET to
toggle through all tide information for today as well as past and future tides.

CUSTOMIZE A PRESET BEACH
In the case where one of the 200 preset beaches isn’t your local beach
you can CUSTOMIZE the tide data for any of the 200 preset beaches
to match your beach.
- Firstly, use the tide set procedure above to preset the beach closest
to your beach.
- Then find the average time offset between the selected preset beach
and your beach. Eg. Bells plus 45 minutes equals my local beach.
- To activate CUSTOM setting, in TIDE mode press and HOLD LAP/
RESET in for 2 seconds, OFFSET appears and a ZERO digit will flash.
- Use START/STOP & LAP/RESET to increase or decrease the time
offset till correct.
- Press MODE/SET to lock in your offset. The watch will then ask you to
rename the preset beach to the new beaches name.
- Use START/STOP & LAP/RESET to scroll through the alphabet and
change the selected letter.
- Press MODE/SET to move to the next letter.

Once complete, HOLD MODE/SET in for 2 seconds to save all information.
Tide Time Offset
offset is zero
( +/- 180 mins max.) go to the next character
(wrap around after the 8th character)
CUSTOM Name
* Name changes to "CUSTOM" by default.

NOTE: To leave the customized beach named as CUSTOM, put in the offset
then HOLD MODE/SET in for 2 seconds to save.
ALSO NOTE: Once you have customized a preset beach, eg. Bells, that
location has been over written and will no longer appear in the watches’
beach list. To return to the original beach name and tide data, you must
be in TIDE MODE, HOLD LAP/RESET in for 2 seconds, the digits will
flash, use START/STOP & LAP/RESET to change the offset back to zero,
HOLD MODE/SET in for 2 seconds and the original beach name, ie Bells,
will reappear in the screen.

SPOT X BEACH INTRODUCTION
Just in case you can’t find a preset location that can be customized to
your local beach. Your watch is equipped with a Spot X averaging tide
function. Spot X follows the world accepted average tide cycle of 6hrs
12mins and 25 seconds from High tide to Low tide. Spot X is present at
the bottom of EVERY beach list.
SPOT X SETTING
- Select Spot X from any beach list. (See tide setting)
- Find the next HIGH tide time for the beach you want to create and set
the information using the procedure below. (Tide information can be
found in the local newspaper or tide guide)
- In TIDE mode HOLD LAP/RESET in for 2 seconds, the year will appear
and flash, use START/STOP & LAP/RESET to select the year.
- Press MODE/SET, the MONTH will flash in the top left hand corner.
- Use START/STOP & LAP/RESET to enter month of the next high tide.
- Press MODE/SET the DATE will flash, use START/STOP & LAP/RESET
to enter date of the next high tide.
- Press MODE/SET, the HOUR will flash, use START/STOP & LAP/RESET
to enter hour of the next high tide.
- Press MODE/SET, the MINUTES will flash, use START/STOP & LAP/RESET
to enter minutes of the next high tide.
- Press MODE/SET, the S of Spot X with flash. You can rename Spot X
to your local beach name by following procedure below, or to leave the
name as Spot X, simply HOLD MODE/SET in for 2 seconds to set and
save all new Spot X information.
- Or use START/STOP & LAP/RESET to scroll through the alphabet and
change the selected letter. Press MODE/SET to move to the next letter.
- Once complete, HOLD MODE/SET in for 2 seconds to save all.
NOTE: When Spot X is set no RANGE information will be displayed, only the
time of the next tide and tide direction graph will be displayed.
NOTE: To leave the customized beach named as CUSTOM, put in the offset
then HOLD MODE/SET in for 2 seconds to save.
ALSO NOTE: Once you have customized a preset beach, eg. Bells, that

FUTURE TIDE SETTING
If you want to know tide and moon information for a specific date in the future
until December 2022 the FUTURE TIDE FUNCTION must be used.
- Press MODE/SET to advance to TIDE MODE. Press START/STOP or LAP/RESET
to toggle through tide data, one tide at a time, past or future, for the selected
beach or use the procedure below for a distant future or past date.
- HOLD START/STOP in for 2 seconds, the year will flash, press START/STOP &
LAP/RESET to select the correct year.
- Press MODE/SET the MONTH will flash in top left hand corner, press START/
STOP or LAP/RESET to select the correct month.
- Press MODE/SET the DATE will flash, press START/STOP & LAP/RESET to
select the correct date.
- HOLD MODE/SET in for 2 seconds to save the date you want.
- Press START/STOP & LAP/RESET to toggle through the tide data.
CHRONOGRAPH (STOP WATCH) SETTING
- Press MODE/SET to advance to CHRONO.
- Press START/STOP to start or stop the chronograph.
- Press LAP/RESET to time laps while the chronograph is running. The maximum
number of laps is 99.
- To reset the Chrono to zero HOLD LAP/RESET in for 2 seconds.

TIMER (COUNTDOWN TIMER) SETTING
- Press MODE/SET to advance to TIMER.
Your watch timer is preset to 30 minutes, but can be adjusted to count down
from 23hr 59min 59secs. Once the timer hits zero an alarm will sound for 30
seconds and the counter will then count upwards. This enables you to know
how long ago the alarm sounded.
- Press START/STOP to start or stop the Timer.
- HOLD LAP/RESET in for 2 seconds to reset the Timer to the preset time. You
must do this prior to being able to change the preset time of the timer.
ADJUSTING TIMER TIME to another time period, up to 23hr 59min 59secs.
- HOLD MODE/SET in for 2 seconds, the hour digits will appear and flash. Use
START/STOP & LAP/RESET to select hour you want.
- Press MODE/SET, the minutes will flash. Use START/STOP & LAP/RESET to
select minutes required.
- HOLD MODE/SET in for 2 seconds to confirm the time set.
ALARM (X2) SETTING
A separate alarm is provided for each time zone. Ie T1 and T2.
- Press MODE/SET to advance to ALARM.
- HOLD MODE/SET in for 2 seconds and T1 or T2 will appear.
Use START/STOP & LAP/RESET to select required time zone T1 or T2.
- Press MODE/SET, the hour digits will flash.
Use START/STOP & LAP/RESET to select required hour. Make sure you have
AM or PM correct in the alarm.
- Press MODE/SET, the minutes will flash.
Use START/STOP & LAP/RESET to select required minutes.
- HOLD MODE/SET in for 2 seconds to confirm the settings and the alarm icon
appears in the bottom left of the screen.
- Press START/STOP to turn the alarm icon on or off.
- Press any button to stop the alarm.

FUTURE TIDE SETTING
If you want to know tide and moon information for a specific date in the future until December 2022 the
FUTURE TIDE FUNCTION must be used.
- Press MODE/SET to advance to TIDE MODE. Press START/STOP or LAP/RESET to toggle through
tide data, one tide at a time, past or future, for the selected beach or use the procedure below for
a distant future or past date.
- HOLD START/STOP in for 2 seconds, the year will flash, press START/STOP & LAP/RESET to
select the correct year.
- Press MODE/SET the MONTH will flash in top left hand corner, press START/STOP or LAP/RESET
to select the correct month.
- Press MODE/SET the DATE will flash, press START/STOP & LAP/RESET to select the correct date.
- HOLD MODE/SET in for 2 seconds to save the date you want.
- Press START/STOP & LAP/RESET to toggle through the tide data.
CHRONOGRAPH (STOP WATCH) SETTING
- Press MODE/SET to advance to CHRONO.
- Press START/STOP to start or stop the chronograph.
- Press LAP/RESET to time laps while the chronograph is running.
The maximum number of laps is 99.
- To reset the Chrono to zero HOLD LAP/RESET in for 2 seconds.
TIMER (COUNTDOWN TIMER) SETTING
- Press MODE/SET to advance to TIMER.
Your watch timer is preset to 30 minutes, but can be adjusted to count down from 23hr 59min 59secs. Once
the timer hits zero an alarm will sound for 30 seconds and the counter will then count upwards. This enables
you to know how long ago the alarm sounded.
- Press START/STOP to start or stop the Timer.
- HOLD LAP/RESET in for 2 seconds to reset the Timer to the preset time. You must do this prior to
being able to change the preset time of the timer.
ADJUSTING TIMER TIME to another time period, up to 23hr 59min 59secs.
- HOLD MODE/SET in for 2 seconds, the hour digits will appear and flash. Use START/STOP & LAP/
RESET to select hour you want.
- Press MODE/SET, the minutes will flash. Use START/STOP & LAP/RESET to select minutes required.
- HOLD MODE/SET in for 2 seconds to confirm the time set.
ALARM (X2) SETTING
A separate alarm is provided for each time zone. Ie T1 and T2.
- Press MODE/SET to advance to ALARM.
- HOLD MODE/SET in for 2 seconds and T1 or T2 will appear. Use START/STOP & LAP/RESET to
select required time zone T1 or T2.
- Press MODE/SET, the hour digits will flash. Use START/STOP & LAP/RESET to select required hour.
Make sure you have AM or PM correct in the alarm.
- Press MODE/SET, the minutes will flash. Use START/STOP & LAP/RESET to select required minutes.
- HOLD MODE/SET in for 2 seconds to confirm the settings and the alarm icon appears in the bottom
left of the screen.
- Press START/STOP to turn the alarm icon on or off.
- Press any button to stop the alarm.

Felicidades por la compra del reloj de mareas Ocean Search. Su reloj ha sido diseñado especícamente
para ayudarle a conseguir los mejores resultados al hacer surf. Información sobre mareas para 200
playas predenidas, función de mareas futuras, fases lunares, temporizador, cronómetro, hora dual,
alarmas, luz… ¡disfrútelo!

define la playa entre 200 ubicaciones
preestablecidas y se muestra la
información de mareas hasta diciembre
de 2022.
Este modo también le permite crear una
ubicación personalizada, estableciendo un
promedio de desviación en cualquiera de las 200 playas.
O puede crear una “Ubicación X” completamente nueva utilizando nuestro sistema de cálculo de promedio
de mareas ATS.
Este modo también incluye nuestra función patentada de predicción de mareas FUTURAS.

NOTA: FUNCIONES ESPECIALES:
1. En cualquier modo, al mantener pulsado el botón de iluminación durante 2 segundos, el reloj regresa al
modo MAREA/FECHA/HORA.
2. Le hemos dado al modo MAREA/FECHA/HORA un tono de tecla diferente, así se puede encontrar este
modo incluso en la oscuridad .
3. La LUZ permanece encendida durante 3 segundos pero si continúa pulsando otros botones la luz permanecerá
encendida hasta que no se haya pulsado un botón durante 3 segundos.

AJUSTE DE HORA Y FECHA
- Asegúrese de que está en el modo MAREA/FECHA/HORA.
- MANTENGA PRESIONADO el botón MODO/AJUSTE durante 2 segundos para introducir un valor.
- Pulse MODO/AJUSTE para desplazarse por el año, mes, día/fecha, hora, minuto,Segundos, formato de
fecha, formato de 12 ó 24 horas, campanada horaria, tono de tecla y pies o metros.
- Pulse INICIAR/DETENER para incrementar el valor. Pulse VUELTA/RESTAURAR para reducir
el valor.
- Una vez completado, deberá mantener pulsado de nuevo el botón MODO/AJUSTE durante 2 segundos
para salir del modo de ajustes y guardar cualquier valor de ajuste realizado.
AJUSTE DE HORARIO DE AHORRO DE DÍA (DST)
- Asegúrese de que está en el modo MAREA/FECHA/HORA.
MANTENGA PULSADO INICIAR/DETENER durante 5 segundos y el reloj se ajustará automáticamente al
horario de ahorro de día. Aparecerá el icono DST en la esquina inferior izquierda del reloj.
NOTA: Al inicio y al final del período del horario de verano, DEBERÁ utilizar la función DST, ya que en
caso contrario la hora actual y la hora de las MAREAS no serían correctas.
AJUSTE DE DOBLE HORA
- Asegúrese de que está en el modo MAREA/FECHA/HORA.
- Pulse VUELTA/RESTAURAR para VER la segunda zona horaria.
- MANTENGA pulsado el botón VUELTA/RESTAURAR durante 5 segundos para cambiar a la segunda
zona horaria; aparecerá el icono T2 y permanecerá visible en la esquina inferior izquierda del reloj.
Cuando se encuentre en T1 no habrá icono visible en la pantalla.

PERSONALIZAR UNA PLAYA PREDEFINIDA
En el caso de que una de las 200 playas
predefinidas no sea su playa local, podrá
PERSONALIZAR los datos de marea de
cualquiera de las 200 playas predefinidas
para que concuerde con su playa.
- En primer lugar, utilice el
procedimiento de ajuste de marea
mencionado antes para predefinir la
playa más cercana a la suya.
- A continuación, averigue el desajuste
promedio de tiempo entre la playa predefinida seleccionada y su playa. Por ejemplo, Bells más 45
minutos es igual a mi playa local.
- Para activar un ajuste PERSONALIZADO, en el modo MAREA mantenga pulsado el botón
VUELTA/RESTAURAR durante 2 segundos hasta que aparezca OFFSET (Declinación) en la pantalla
y destellará el dígito CERO.
- Use el botón INICIAR/DETENER y VUELTA/RESTAURAR para incrementar o reducir la desviación
de tiempo hasta que sea correcta.
Pulse MODO/AJUSTE para bloquear la desviación que ha elegido. El reloj entonces le pedirá que cambie de
nombre a la playa predefinida y le ponga el nombre de la nueva playa.
Use los botones INICIAR/DETENER y VUELTA/RESTAURAR para desplazarse por el alfabeto y cambiar
la letra seleccionada.
- Pulse el botón MODO/AJUSTE para desplazarse a la siguiente letra.
- Una vez completado, MANTENGA PRESIONADO el botón MODO/AJUSTE durante 2 segundos
para guardar toda la información
NOTA: Para dejar el nombre de playa personalizado como PERSONALIZADO, introduzca el valor de desviación
y luego MANTENGA presionado el botón MODO/AJUSTE durante 2 segundos para guardarlo.
TENGA EN CUENTA TAMBIÉN: Una vez que haya personalizado una playa predefinida, por ejemplo Bells,
esa ubicación ha sido sobrescrita y ya no aparecerá en la lista de playas del reloj.
Para regresar al nombre de playa original y a los datos de mareas, deberá estar en MODO MAREA.
MANTENGA PRESIONADO el botón MODO/AJUSTE durante 2 segundos y los dígitos destellarán; a
continuación use el botón INICIAR/DETENER y VUELTA/RESTAURAR para cambiar la desviación a cero,
mantenga presionado el botón MODO/AJUSTE durante 2 segundos y el nombre de playa original, por ejemplo
Bells, volverá a aparecer en la pantalla.

durante 2 segundos para introducir el ajuste de playa.
- Para alternar entre REGIONES, use INICIAR/DETENER
y VUELTA/RESTAURAR.
Cuando encuentre la región que desea, pulse MODO/AJUSTE.
- Use INICIAR/DETENER y VUELTA/RESTAURAR para alternar entre opciones hasta llegar al PAÍS que desea.
Pulse MODO/AJUSTE para bloquear el país que ha elegido.
- Use INICIAR/DETENER y VUELTA/RESTAURAR para alternar entre opciones hasta llegar a la PLAYA
que desea.
- MANTENGA PRESIONADO el botón MODO/AJUSTE durante 2 segundos para guardar la playa seleccionada.
- Una vez que haya establecido la playa, puede usar INICIAR/DETENER y VUELTA/RESTAURAR para
avanzar por toda la información de mareas para el día de hoy, así como mareas pasadas y futuras.
