INSTALLAZIONE
Leggere attentamente quanto segue.
1) Scegliere il luogo dell’installazione in modo che sia il più lontano possibile da campi magnetici, o altre
masse ferrose in movimento.
2) Fare riferimento allo schema di foratura contenuto nella scatola.
3) Prima di collegare i due fili dell’illuminazione a Led all’impianto di bordo, controllare la corrispondenza del
voltaggio della rete.
4) Al termine dell’installazione fare eseguire la compensazione della bussola RIVIERA da un professionista
autorizzato.

Dopo l’assemblaggio manuale, è stata sottoposta ai collaudi ed ai controlli di qualità conformemente alle prescrizioni
del registro navale italiano RINA . Essa è realizzata con materiali che hanno dato prova di garantirne il funzionamento a
bordo di imbarcazioni per numerosi anni .
Conserva questo manuale assieme ai documenti di bordo .
CERTIFICAZIONI
La Direttiva MED 2014/90/UE (e i suoi successivi emendamenti) copre le principali attrezzature e materiali che sono
destinati ad essere impiegati a bordo delle navi marittime (non militari).
La marcatura distintiva per questi prodotti è il "timoncino". Le regole tecniche applicabili agli equipaggiamenti marittimi
provengono da tre fonti: la Convenzione per la salvaguardia della vita in mare (SOLAS), le Risoluzioni dell'International
Maritime Organization (IMO) e le Norme Europee (EN).
Le bussole classe B RIVIERA tipo POLARE, sono state certificate in accordo alla Direttiva MED 2014/90 EU.
RIVIERA POLARE: Tipo Certificato per imbarcazione di salvataggio e battelli di emergenza. L'eventuale certificato
MED per la singola bussola deve essere richiesto in fase di ordine e non può essere emesso successivamente alla
fornitura.

Il presente documento vale come certificato di garanzia.
La società RIVIERA srl Genova garantisce che le proprie bussole sono costruite a regola d’arte e che sono prive di difetti di fabbricazione e di materiale.
Se entro 36 mesi dalla data di fabbricazione (stampigliata sulla flangia) il prodotto dovesse presentare difetti di funzionamento, la società la riparerà o sostituirà, a suo
esclusivo giudizio, gratuitamente.
La garanzia decade qualora i danni fossero causati da uso improprio, errata installazione o rotture accidentali.
La garanzia non copre eventuali costi derivanti da montaggio o smontaggio dei prodotti, trasporto degli stessi e spese di personale tecnico, anche se imputabili
a difetti di fabbricazione. In caso di contestazione il foro competente è il tribunale di Genova.
COMPENSAZIONE & MANUTENZIONE
Le bussole Riviera sono tarate per la zona A. Su richiesta, in
fase di ordine, possono essere tarate per la zona B o C.
Dopo l’installazione a bordo, la compensazione della
bussola deve essere effettuata da un professionista
autorizzato dall’Autorità Marittima locale che opererà sulle viti
accessibili attraverso i fori trasversali inferiori.
Pulire la bussola Riviera con un panno morbido inumidito con
acqua dolce.
RIPARAZIONE
Ai fini della decadenza dei termini di garanzia e per la vostra
sicurezza, eventuali riparazioni possono essere effettuate
solo ed esclusivamente dal fabbricante. In caso di necessità,

LIQUIDO
Il liquido contenuto nelle bussole RIVIERA è stabile
nell’intervallo di temperatura da -30° a +60° C. In tale
intervallo non si devono presentare bolle, ciò è garantito
da una membrana elastica che compensa le variazioni
volumetriche. Il liquido è Shell SolD/70 (petrolio).
ATTENZIONE: Non svitare mai per nessun motivo viti e
tappi di riempimento. Le uniche viti da regolare sono
quelle dei compensatori (con un cacciavite amagnetico).
Quando il taglio delle viti dei compensatori è in
posizione orizzontale la compensazione è neutra,
portando il taglio in posizione verticali è massima.

USER’S MANUAL - Magnetic compass for navigation RIVIERA type POLARE 3”& 4"
Dear Customer,
in thanking you for your preference and trust in our products, we wish to inform you that this marine magnetic compass
has been designed and built to perfection in the RIVIERA srl factory in Genoa.
After manual assembly, it was subjected to tests and quality controls in accordance with the requirements of the Italian
shipping register, RINA. It is made with materials that have proven to guarantee its functioning aboard boats for many
years.
Keep this manual together with the on-board documents.
CERTIFICATIONS
The MED Directive 2014/90 / EU (and its subsequent amendments) covers the main equipment and materials that are
intended to be used on board seagoing (non-military) vessels.
The distinctive marking for these products is the "Wheelmark". The technical rules applicable to marine equipment come
from three sources: the Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), the Resolutions of the International Maritime
Organization (IMO) and the European Standards (EN).
The RIVIERA class B compasses of the POLARE type have been certified in accordance with MED 2014/90 EU.
RIVIERA POLARE: This Type of compasses is Certificated as lifeboats and rescue boats equipment.
Any MED certificate for the single compass must be requested when ordering and cannot be issued after supply.

INSTALLATION
Please read the following carefully.
1) Choose the installation site so that it is as far away as possible from magnetic fields, or other moving
ferrous masses.
2) Refer to the on board mounting scheme contained in the box.
3) Before connecting the two LED lighting wires to the on-board system, check the correspondence of the
network voltage.
4) At the end of the installation, have the compensation of the RIVIERA compass performed by an authorized
professional.
COMPENSATION & MAINTENANCE
Riviera compasses are calibrated for zone A. On request,
when ordering, they can be calibrated for zone B or C.
After installation on board, compass compensation must be
carried out by a professional authorized by the local Maritime
Authority who will operate on the screws accessible through
the lower transverse holes.
Clean the Riviera compass with a soft cloth moistened with
fresh water.
REPAIR
For the purposes of forfeiture of the warranty terms and for
your safety, any repairs may be carried out only and
exclusively by the manufacturer. In case of need, please

LIQUID
The liquid contained in the RIVIERA compasses is
stable in the temperature range from -30 ° to + 60 ° C. In
this range there should be no bubbles, this is
guaranteed by an elastic membrane that compensates
for volumetric variations. The liquid is Shell SolD / 70
(petroleum).
ATTENTION: Never unscrew the filler plugs and screws
for any reason. The only screws to adjust are those of
the compensators (with a non-magnetic screwdriver).
When the cut of the compensator screws is in the
horizontal position the compensation is neutral, bringing
the cut in the vertical position is maximum.

This document is valid as a guarantee certificate. The company RIVIERA srl Genoa guarantees that its compasses are built in a workmanlike manner and that they are free
from manufacturing and material defects. If within 36 months from the date of manufacture (stamped on the flange) the product should show malfunctions, the company will
repair or replace it, at its sole discretion, free of charge.
The warranty is void if the damage is caused by improper use, incorrect installation or accidental breakage. The warranty does not cover any costs deriving from
assembly or disassembly of the products, transport of the same and expenses for technical personnel, even if attributable to manufacturing defects. In the event
of a dispute, the competent court is the court of Genoa.
