By applying the test pressure to the pressure vessel on the gas side, the pressure in the heat exchanger is raised
simultaneouslysothatthetestingdeviceonRMG790opensassoonasthesetvalueisreached.Youwillnoticea
smallamountofwaterleakingfromthetestingdevice.
AfurtherincreaseinthepressurewillclosetheSAVs.ThepressureatthepressuregaugeofSAVtestconnectionII
willfallbacktothesetvalueofthetestingdevice.Next,youmustraisethetestpressureanadditional2to3bars
(butnotbeyond10bar).Trapthepressureintheheatexchangerbyclosingtheconnectionofthetestingdevice.If
thepressureremainsstable,theconnectionistightandtheRMG790worksproperly.
•Whileapplyingthepressureandcarryingoutthetest,keepaneyeonpressuregauges9(gas)and10(water)on
the testing device. Both pressure gauges must indicate the same pressure.
6. Completing the test
•Closestopballvalve3.
•Openoutletcontrolvalve6.Reducegaspressure.
•Closestopballvalve4.
•OpenoverowvalveE.Reducewaterpressure.
•Removetestingdeviceconnection.
•Drainingthewaterfromtestingdevice:
Openstopballvalve4anddrainpressurevessel1usingwateroverowconnectionE.
Rememberantifreeze,ifnecessary(collector).
