8.Avoidrunningwiresoverorthroughsharpedges.Userubberorplasticgrommetstoprotectany
wiresrouted throughmetal,especiallythefirewall.
9.ALWAYSprotectthebatteryandelectricalsystemfromdamagewithproperfusing.Install the
appropriatefuseholderandfuseonthe+12Vpowerwirewithin18"(45.7cm)ofthebattery
terminal.
10.Whengrounding tothechassisof thevehicle,scrapeall paintfromthemetaltoensureagood,clean
groundconnection.Groundingconnectionsshouldbeasshortaspossibleandalwaysbeconnected to
metalthatiswelded tothemainbody,orchassis,ofthevehicle.

Mountingtheamplifierwithless than1"(2.54cm)of airgaparoundtheamplifier'sheatsinkinthe
passengercompartmentwillnotprovidepropercoolingandwill severelyaffecttheperformanceofthe
amplifierandisstronglynotrecommended.

Amplifierswillputanincreased loadonthevehicle'sbatteryandchargingsystem.Werecommend
checkingyouralternatorandbatteryconditionto ensurethattheelectricalsystemhasenoughcapacityto
handletheincreased loadofyourstereo system.Stockelectricalsystemswhich areingoodcondition
shouldbeableto handletheextraloadofany PowerSeriesamplifierwithoutproblems,althoughbattery
andalternatorlifecanbereduced slightly.To maximize theperformanceof youramplifier,wesuggestthe
useof aheavydutybatteryandanenergystoragecapacitor.

leads,sensitiveequipment orharnesses.Thepower wirescarrysubstantial
current andcouldinducenoiseintotheaudiosystem.
1.Planthewirerouting.KeepRCAcablesclosetogetherbutisolated fromtheamplifier'spowercables
andanyhighpowerautoaccessories,especiallyelectricmotors.Thisisdonetopreventcoupling the
noisefromradiated electricalfieldsinto theaudio signal.Whenfeedingthewiresthroughthefirewall
oranymetalbarrier,protectthemwithplasticorrubbergrommetstopreventshortcircuits.Leave
thewireslongatthispointtoadjustfora precisefitata latertime.

2.PreparetheREDwire(powercable)forattachmenttotheamplifierbystripping5/8"of insulation
fromtheendof thewire.Insertthebared wireintotheB+terminalandtightenthesetscrewto
securethecableinplace.
ÒÑÌÛæTheB+cableMUSTbefused 18"orless fromthevehicle'sbattery.Installthefuseholderunder
thehoodandensureconnectionsarewatertight.
3.TrimtheREDwire(powercable)within18"ofthebatteryandspliceinainlinefuseholder(not

4.Strip1/2"fromthebatteryendof thepowercableand
crimpalargering terminaltothecable.Usethering terminal

theamplifierbystripping5/8"ofinsulationfromtheendof
thewire.InsertthebarewireintotheGROUND terminal
andtightenthesetscrew to securethecableinplace.
Preparethechassisgroundbyscraping anypaintfromthe
metalsurfaceandthoroughlycleantheareaof alldirtand
grease.Striptheotherendof thewireandattach aring
connector.Fastenthecableto thechassisusinga
non-anodized screw andastarwasher.

to securethewireinplace.Connecttheotherendof theRemotewireto aswitched 12 voltpositive
source.Theswitched voltageisusuallytakenfromthesourceunit'sremoteamp onlead.If thesource
unitdoesnothavethisoutputavailable,therecommended solutionistowireamechanicalswitch in
linewitha12voltsourcetoactivatetheamplifier.
7.Securelymounttheamplifierto thevehicleoramprack.Becarefulnottomounttheamplifieron
cardboardorplasticpanels.Doingso mayenablethescrewstopull outfromthepanel duetoroad
vibrationorsuddenvehiclestops.
8.Connectfromsourcesignalby pluggingtheRCAcablesintotheinputjacksattheamplifier.
ÝßËÌ×ÑÒ:Alwaysensure power isoffordisconnectedattheamplifier before
connectingRCAcables.Failuretodosomaycauseinjury,damage tothe
amplifier and/orconnectedcomponents.
9.Connectthespeakers.Stripthespeakerwires1/2"andinsertintothespeakerterminalandtighten
thesetscrewtosecureinto place.Besuretomaintainproperspeakerpolarity.DONOTchassis
groundany of thespeakerleadsasunstableoperationmayresult.
10.Performa final checkof thecompleted systemwiring toensurethatall connectionsareaccurate.
Checkallpowerandgroundconnectionsforfrayed wiresandlooseconnectionswhich couldcause
problems.Installinlinefusenearbatteryconnection.
