The ROCKWOOD CALIPER is manufactured to high quality standards of superior materials and
provides excellent accuracy. Great for any automotive or shop measuring applications.
SPECIFICATIONS
• Durable, corrosion-resistant stainless steel construction
• Dual range, SAE and Metric dimensioning
• Resolution to 0.0005” (0.01mm)
• 1-1/2” throat depth
• 4-way dimensioning (inside, outside, depth and step)
• Powered by an SR44 Button Battery (Included)

• Keep these product instructions for future reference.
USING THE CALIPER
There are 4 ways of measuring with a Caliper:
• OUTSIDE: Larger Blades at bottom of Caliper are used to
surround an object. Exert mild pressure against Thumb
Wheel to keep Blades against object. The Lockscrew may be
tightened to maintain readout.
• INSIDE: Placing smaller Blades at top of Caliper inside a
feature of an object. Exert mild pressure against Thumb
Wheel to keep Blades against object. The Lockscrew may be
tightened to maintain readout.
• DEPTH: Using the Rod at the end of the Caliper to read
the depth of a feature. The Lockscrew may be tightened to
maintain readout.
• STEP: Recording the dimension of an offset feature of an
object with the back, left edges of the fixed Inch scale and
the sliding Vernier. The Lockscrew may be tightened to
maintain readout.

READING THE CALIPER
• Press the “ON-OFF” button to switch on the Caliper (FIG 1).
• To switch between Inch and Millimeter measurement, press the “mm/in” button.
• Close Jaws fully, press the “ZERO” button to reset readout to “0”.
NOTE: Always clean surface of Blades to achieve full accuracy.
• Select method of measurement as described in “Using the Caliper” and observe the figure
displayed on the Digital Display.
• When done, press the “ON-Off” button once again to switch off the Caliper.

BATTERY CHANGE
• Slide Battery Cover (located to the right of Digital Display) to the right (FIG 1).
• Remove expired Battery.
• Install new battery with “+” facing upward.
MAINTENANCE
• Before each use, inspect the condition of the Caliper for any accumulated dirt, damage or
scratches that may affect operation and accuracy.
• Keep the Caliper stored in a clean, dry location away from other tools which could damage
the Caliper.
• Do not expose to extreme heat which can damage the Caliper circuitry.
