How to install the ROEQ spring kit

1 Introduction
This is the guide on, how to install the ROEQ spring kit to a MiR100 or MiR200. The robot used as illustration in
this guide is a MiR200 MKV. The spring kit, will lift up the bogey-arm of the robot, and then add extra gravitational
force on the traction wheel.
2 Required tools
•Strong cable ties
•TX20 Screwdriver
•TX30 Screwdriver
•Hex key 4 mm
•Woodblock or similar to place under robot

1. •Remove the Top Module from the MiR robot
•Lift top cover from robot

2. •In robots with ESD-wire, unplug it before fully removing top cover

3. •Locate and remove the all the TX20 screws holding the side covers.
•Disconnect the four connectors for LED strips on the side cover. The connectors are placed in each
corner.
•Remove both sides from the robot.

4. •Lift the front of the robot.
•Place a woodblock or similar under the front wheels of the robot.

5. •Start at one side of the robot, take brackets and spring for that side.
•Remove the bolts and spring.
•Add the lower bracket to the bogey-arm. See Figure 6

6. •Mount the spring to the lower bracket with the fitting bolt.
•Add the upper brackets on the top frame.
•Add the nut to the brackets to keep them in place.

7. •Pull out the spring to place a cable tie in the spring
•Secure the cable tie around the top frame and tighten it to pull the spring up the to nut

8. •Add the bolt to top frame and fasten it to the nut.
•Cut and remove the cable tie.
•Repeat step 5 to 8 for the other side.

9. •Mount the side covers to the robot again.
•Connect the connectors to the LED strips again.
•To protect the wires close to the springs, secure them with tape or similar (See Figure 10)
•Put the top shell on the robot again, remember the ESD wire.
•Mount the ROEQ Top Module, and the robot is ready to use again
