Once a musical instrument generates sound vibrations, it reaches the human ear through various mediating, objects, each of which significantly affects the sound. The material and configuration of
the instrument, the electric/magnetic amplifying system, the air and the reverberation of the room all affect the final sound. Sound modeling, the latest DSP technology, "virtually" reconstructs these
objects. Roland's breakthrough Composite Object Sound Modeling (COSM®) uses the advantages of multiple modeling methods and succeeds in accurately emulating existing sounds, as well as
producing sounds that have never before been created.
The power behind Roland's GK gear lies in the GK-2A Divided Pickup. This unique pickup provides an individual output for each string—crucial for accurate synth tracking, advanced pickup and guitar modeling, and
precise pitch-to-MIDI conversion. Once the GK-2A has been attached to a steel-stringed electric or acoustic guitar—or purchased as part of a special "Roland-Ready" guitar—users can tap into the amazing
polyphonic pitch-shifting power, COSM Guitar Modeling, and synthesis power of Roland's GK-Ready gear.
*Note that the GK-2A’s functions vary between different GK gear. Please check the specifications for Roland's GK-Ready gear to see what types of effects are possible.

Clean, Natural Tone
Used on thousands of classic jazz, funk, rock,
reggae and ska records, the Roland JC-Series
has proven to be one of the most popular
guitar amp lineups in history. No other amp
can match the sparkling clean tone and wide
stereo presence of a Jazz Chorus amp.
Legendary Chorus Effects
When it comes to lush chorus sounds, nothing
beats a Jazz Chorus amplifier. The combination
of two independent amplifiers and Roland's
ultra-smooth chorus technology makes for
some of the widest chorus effects ever. This
type of spacious chorus sound cannot be
re-created electronically, but only by
enclosing two speakers in the specially
designed cabinet. Play through a JC-Series
amp and you'll notice how the chorus seems
to naturally reflect off the walls, ceiling and
floor. There's nothing else like it!
Timeless Design
Things have changed since 1975, but not the
rugged design of the JC-Series. Sporting the
classic look of the originals— casters, corner
protectors, studded edges and all—today’s
Jazz Chorus amps are built to the same level
of quality and durability that has made the
JC-Series a mainstay with guitarists
worldwide.

The Roland Jazz Chorus™
—
The Amp That Started It All.
Since their debut in 1975, Roland’s Jazz Chorus amplifiers have been
a favorite among guitarists for their sparkling clean sound, lush chorus
and rock-solid construction. Now this rich heritage can be found in
Roland’s full line of guitar and bass amplifiers —from the VGA- and
Cube-Series to the AC- and DB-Series.

COSM Amp
Modeling
Roland’s COSM technology uses
multiple modeling methods to
re-create the sound of the most
popular amps in history. You’ll find
everything from vintage and
modern tube amps to solid-state
and acoustic amps, plus a range of
speaker cabinet selections.
Superb Digital
Effects
With onboard effects ranging from
delay, reverb and chorus to flanger,
phaser and wah, you can create
just about any tone imaginable.
Best of all, using the VGA-Series’
effects feels just like a stomp box,
thanks to simple knob-based
controls.
New Guitar
Modeling
Using an optional GK-2A Divided
Pickup, guitarists can select and
“play” a variety of guitar models—
a marvel of technological
achievement. Choose from electric,
hollow-body, and miked and
unmiked acoustic models; pickups
and placements; and even unique
“guitar-meets-synth” models.
Feed Forward
Processing Inside
Thanks to Roland’s Feed Forward
Processing technology, DB-Series
amps can maximize their efficiency
by “sensing” the incoming bass
signal and adjusting the amplifier
and speaker response
characteristics in advance.
COSM Bass Amp
Modeling
More than just EQ curves, the
DB-Series’ COSM Bass Amp
Modeling can mathematically
re-create every aspect of vintage
and modern Solid State, Tube and
Overdriven amp sounds—complete
with natural tube compression
effects.
Unique D-Chorus
Effect
Roland’s D-Chorus is a split-
frequency chorus effect that
allows bass players to add rich
chorus to the high frequencies
without muddying the lows.
A front or top-panel knob lets
players adjust the effect’s intensity.
Roadworthy
Construction
All DB-Series amps are built with
high-quality components for years
of trouble-free use and include a
DI connector for direct connection
to PA systems. The larger
DB-900/700 also feature convenient
side handles and casters for easy
transportation.
GK-Compatible
The VGA-Series is compatible with
Roland’s GK Divided Pickup.
This slim, hexaphonic pickup
allows each string to be output as
a separate signal that can be
independently processed—
essential for using the VGA-Series’
guitar modeling and features.

Acoustic Chorus
Guitar&Bass
Amplifier
Built for Acoustic
Musicians
The AC-Series has been specially
designed to accurately reproduce
the sound of acoustic and
electro-acoustic guitars. From the
tri-amped design of the flagship
AC-100 to the compact AC-60, you
get nothing but pure, natural tone.
Legendary Jazz
Chorus Effects
With chorus effects derived from
Roland’s popular Jazz Chorus™
amplifiers, the AC-Series gives
acoustic musicians lush, spacious
chorus sounds that are further
enhanced by the AC-100’s
3-speaker and the AC-60’s
dual-speaker configurations.
Compact and
Portable
As Roland’s most compact line of
amplifiers, the Cube-Series is
perfect for musicians on the go.
Their lightweight design makes
them easy to take from rehearsal
to gig, while powerful output
ensures they always get the job
done.
A Marvel of
Convenience
Cube amps may be small, but
they’re packed with convenient
features like versatile onboard
effects and EQ. Just plug in and
get the tone you want. The Cube-30
and Cube-30 Bass even sport DSP
effects, making them an incredible
value.
COSM Modeling
Inside
The Cube-30 and Cube-30 Bass
come with onboard COSM Amp
Modeling. This gives guitarists
access to a range of vintage and
modern amp sounds, while bassists
can tap into several popular bass
amp sounds including the
earth-shaking Octave Bass.
Recording/Headphone
Output and Aux Input
Cube-Series amplifiers are ideal for
practice and recording. You can
connect a CD player or drum
machine to the stereo Auxiliary
input and play along while
rehearsing, or use the Recording/
Headphone output to send your
tone directly to a recorder or mixer.
Flexible 2-Channel
Design
Both models feature two input
channels that can accommodate
anything from an acoustic guitar
(with piezo or magnetic pickups)
to a microphone, drum machine or
keyboard. The AC-60’s Mic/Line
input even sports phantom power.
Anti-Feedback
Control
Eliminate annoying feedback!
Simply dial in the offending
frequency and the AC-100/60 will
suppress the feedback so you can
focus on your playing. It’s truly an
acoustic musician’s dream come true.
