き、まことにありがとうございます。本機の優れた機能を十分にご
理解いただき、末永くご愛用いただくために、この取扱説明書をよ
くお読みくださるようお願い申し上げます。
■特長
EV-5は、ダイナミックな演奏を可能にする、エクスプレッション回
路内蔵型キーボード専用エクスプレッション・ペダルです。ミニマ
ム・ボリュームにより、最小時の音量が自由に設定でき、演奏に応じ
てペダルの音量コントロール範囲を変えることができます。

■ご使用上の注意
●次のような場所でのご使用や保存は、故障の原因となりますので、ご注意
ください。
○温度が極端に高い場所（直射日光の当たる場所、暖房器具の近く、発熱す
る機器の上など）
○水気の近く（風呂場、洗面台、濡れた床など）や温度の高い場所
○ホコリの多い場所
○振動の多い場所
●通常のお手入れは、柔らかい布で空拭きするか、堅く絞った布で汚れを拭
き取ってください。汚れが激しいときは、中性洗剤で汚れを拭き取ってか
ら、必ず柔らかい布で空拭きしてください。
●変色や変形の原因となるベンジン、シンナー及びアルコール類は、絶対に
ご使用にならないでください。
●本機に強い衝撃を与えないでください。
●本機に異物（硬貨や針金など）、または液体（水、ジュース、酒など）を入れな
いように注意してください。
●当社では、この製品の補修用性能部品（製品の機能を維持するために必要
な部品）を、製造打切後6年間保有しています。この部品保有期間を修理可
能の期間とさせていただきます。保有期間が経過した後も、故障箇所によっ
ては修理可能の場合がありますので、お買い上げ店、または最寄りのロー
ランド・サービスにご相談ください。
●本機に異常や故障が生じた場合には直ちに使用を中止し、お買い上げ店、
またはローランド・サービスへご連絡ください。

■操作方法
1.キーボードにEV-5を正しく接続します。
2.ペダルをいっぱいに踏み込み、キーボードのボリュームで最大音
量を設定します。
3.ペダルを戻した（上げた）状態にして、ミニマム・ボリュームで最
小音量を設定します（ミニマム・ボリュームで、最大音量は変えら
れません）。
4.キーボードのボリュームと、ペダルのミニマム・ボリュームで設
定した範囲で、演奏中、ペダル操作により音量がコントロールで
きます。

■接続のしかた
※EV-5は、ローランドもしくはボス製品と接続してお使いください。他社製品と接続すると、故障の原因になる場合があります。

OPERATION
1. Set up the EV-5 with the keyboard as shown in "CON-
NECTION".
2. Pressthepedaldownasfarasitgoes,andsetthemaximum
volume using the volume knobs of the keyboard.
3. Return the position of the pedal to the highest position,
and set the minimum volume by using the Minimum
VolumeKnobontheEV-5.(TheMinimumVolumeKnob
does not affect the maximum volume.)
4. Now, you can control the volume by using the pedal
within the range between the maximum and the mini-
mum volume you have set.

FEATURES
The EV-5 is an Expression Pedal designed to be used with a
keyboard, allowing more dynamic performance. You can
settheminimumvolumetoanylevelyoulike,therebyfreely
determine the maximum effect of the pedal depending on
the type of music or the performance you are aiming at.
CONNECTION
*ConnecttheEV-5onlywithotherRolandorBOSSproducts.Connectingwithproductsfromothermanufacturersmayresultindamage
to the unit.
IMPORTANT NOTES
Donotsubjecttheunittotemperatureextremes(eg.,directsunlight
in an enclosed vehicle). Avoid using or storing the unit in dusty or
humid areas, or areas that are subject to high levels of vibration.
Foreverydaycleaningwipetheunitwithasoft,dryclothoronethat
has been slightly dampened with water. To remove stubborn dirt,
useamild,non-abrasivedetergent.Afterwards,besuretowipethe
unit thoroughly with a soft, dry cloth.
Never use benzine, thinners, alcohol or solvents of any kind, to
avoid the possibility of discoloration and/or deformation.
Protect the unit from strong impact.
Donot allow objectsor liquids ofany kind topenetrate the unit.In
the event of such an occurrence, discontinue use immediately.
Contact qualified service personnel as soon as possible.
Should a malfunction occur, or if you suspect there is a problem,
discontinue use immediately. Contact qualified service personnel
as soon as possible.
