1.Introduction
This manual aims to help you get the latest software programs for Roland RP30 Digital Piano.
The update process includes two major steps:
1. Install the update tool to your PC.
2. Update RP30 with the tool.
2.Install the Update Tool
2.1 Preparation
⚫Make sure your PC has the operating system Windows 7 or Windows 10.
⚫Disengage the anti-virus programs or security software on PC if there is any.
⚫If you have installed the update tool, you may skip the following steps and go to Firmware Update.
2.2 Double click the setup icon.
2.3 Select your language, then click “Next>”to continue.

2.4 Click “Install” to start the installation.

2.5 Click “Next” to install the device driver.

2.6 Click “Finish” to complete the installation.
2.7 Installation is finished. You will find the Firmware update
icon on the desktop.

3.Firmware Update
3.1 Preparation
⚫Connect RP30 to a PC with a standard USB cable.
Note: Never connect the PC with more than one instrument for each update process.
⚫Make sure the power supply is reliable for the update.
3.2 Enter the Update Mode
Press and hold 【A0】+【A#0】+【B0】+【C1】together and turn on the power, it will enter the update
mode .

3.3 Double click the Firmware update icon on desktop.
⚫The Firmware Update window will pop up. Make sure you get the message below before
proceeding.
Note: If you fail to get the above message, please try again:
⚫Check the USB connection or try with another USB cable.
⚫Try with another USB port on PC.
⚫Double click the update icon to start the process again.
