This machine washable blanket is for therapeutic use, under professional guidance
regarding suggested weight and amount of time to use. The weight is evenly distributed
across the blanket. Can have a calming effect for those who have sensory processing
difficulties.
11. Safety
ALWAYS SUPERVISE THE USE OF THIS PRODUCT
This product has been provided for therapeutic use only. Guidance should be sought
from a qualified professional regarding the appropriate weight for the user and how
long weighted items should be used for.
All items should be carefully and regularly checked for wear and tear. Discontinue
use if any item is damaged and is assessed to present risk to the user.
Remove all packaging and either store this in a safe place out of reach of clients or
dispose of this responsibly. Plastic bags and wrapping can be hazardous to children
and vulnerable people.
Keep all items away from sources of heat and fire such as naked flames and
cigarettes as this product is not fire retardant.
Do not place on radiators or heaters.
Take all appropriate measures and precautions to ensure that this product is used as
safely as possible.

13. Care and Maintenance
Using the maintenance check list supplied, check for damage every month such as
tears, loose stitches or ripped seams. If any damage is found, discontinue use till
repaired.
Discard any steel shot that may come out of a damaged blanket.
To clean:
Machine wash in cold water with a mild cleaning product. Allow to air dry
thoroughly before using again.
Do not place the Blanket on radiators or near a fire.
The Blanket can be tumble dried only on a cool or low heat setting.
Do not tumble dry on a high heat.
Do not dry clean.
Storage:
Store indoors in a cool and dry place, out of reach, out of direct sunlight.
Store in a safe place out of direct sunlight when not in use.
Store out of reach of clients –do not allow unsupervised use.

USAGE
Pour l’usage à l’intérieur seulement. Toujours surveillez l’usage de ce produit.
SOIN ET ENTRETIEN
En vous servant de la liste de contrôle de maintien, vérifiez que le produit n’est pas endommagé
(déchiré, points ou Velcro défaits). En cas d’endommages, cessez d’utiliser ce produit et le
réparez tout de suite. Si du plomb sort d’une couverture endommagée, le jetez.
Nettoyage : lavez à machine à l’eau froide en vous servant d’un produit de nettoyage doux. Séchez
à l’air avant de l’utiliser encore. Ne pas mettre la couverture sur un radiateur ou près d’un feu. On
peut sécher la couverture dans un sèche-linge sur un réglage frais ou tiède. Ne jamais la sécher sur
un réglage chaud. Ne pas nettoyer à sec.
Entreposage : entreposez dans un lieu sec et frais, hors de la portée et hors du soleil.
SÛRETÉ
Il faut toujours surveiller l’usage de ce produit. Evitez les sources de chaleur, les flammes et les
cigarettes –ce produit n’est pas ignifugé. Ne pas mettre la couverture sur les radiateurs ou
appareils de chauffage. Prenez toute précaution nécessaire pour l’usage sûr de ce produit.
