Before using the device for the first time, read the user manual carefully.
This device is equipped with 3 rechargeable batteries. They must be fully charged before
first use. NOTE: Charge the batteries every 2–3 months if the device is not used!

Insert the memory card
A Micro SD / Micro SDHC (up to 16GB) should be installed before operating the
device. Install it in the device as shown in the following illustration. Ensure, that the
contacts of the memory card face the battery compartment and that the contacts of
the memory card are inserted first. Press the memory card into the device until you
hear it click in. To remove, push on the memory card again. The memory card then
slides partially out of the device and can be removed. Note: You might need to
format the memory card (up to 16GB) to FAT32 with a computer before using the
device the first time.
Insert the batteries
Open the battery compartment on the eyepiece side (back) of the device - remove
the cover by removing the screw completely and then lift off the cover. Install the
batteries supplied or other compatible batteries (Type: LIR123A 700 or 750mAh
3.7V). Ensure the correct polarity of the batteries. After inserting the rechargeable
batteries, close the battery compartment cover again by replacing the cover and
tightening the screw completely. The batteries should then be charged. To charge
the rechargeable batteries use the enclosed USB cable. When the device is charging,
the indicator light is flashing RED.
Note: If appears in the display, the batteries no longer have sufficient
power. When the batteries are completely empty and the power cable is connected,
the RED LED starts flashing after 5–10 minutes. When the device is not used for 10
minutes it will turn into a power save mode. The indicator light is still on, to show
the device is still powered. To get back in working mode press any key.

Connection to TV
You can connect the device to a TV set using the TV cable supplied (3.5mm plug to
1x RCA plug). Connect the TV cable to the device and the TV set as shown in the
following illustration and switch the device on. On the TV set, select the AV port in
use as the source. The monitor image will then be displayed directly on the TV set.
Settings for use
Hand loop
The hand loop can be adjusted to the size of your hand. Open the hook and loop,
tighten or untighten the hand loop by shortening or lengthening the ends of the
straps, then close the hook and loop.
The device has a total of three options to sharpen the
presentation of the subject. Switch the night vision device on
via the On/Off button. Like with binoculars, you can set the
optics to suit your personal eyesight by turning on the
eyepiece.
(1) Once you have adjusted the eyepiece to suit your eyesight,
you no longer need to change that setting.
(2) The front lens allows you to adjust the focus by rotating it.
(3) Your night vision device will automatically change to the
infrared model at night. You can also adjust the focus of the
IR beam by rotating it, although the results might not be as
obvious as with the lens focus.
Note: Avoid aiming your device at strong sources of light like

Functions
The device can be used like conventional binoculars during the day, but the colours
can be slightly distorted, which is normal. At night, the IR sensor captures the
residual light available, boosts it and displays the image on the monitor. When
looking on the monitor after switching your device via the On/Off button, you will see
various symbols on the screen.
At ①the video mode or photo mode will be displayed. You can change the
recording mode by briefly pressing the /button. In the photo mode,
briefly press the button to take a photo. In the video mode you can also start
video recording using the button. Press the again to pause the recording.
You can end the video recording via the / button.
In the video mode ②shows the maximum recording time left and in the photo mode
the number of photos still possible to take. The value in each case depends on the
space available on the memory card.
The charge condition of the batteries is shown at ③.
④shows that a memory card has been installed. If no memory card has been
installed, “No card” will be shown at the centre of the screen.
Note:The recorded video will be separated in 4:59 minutes each file. The LED
indicator light is permanently shining GREEN when in work mode.

Replay
You can view videos and photos available directly via your device. To do that, press
and hold the [◄] button for approx. 3 seconds to switch to the replay mode.
With video recordings the video symbol will be displayed in the lower left corner
of the monitor. If there is no symbol visible, a photo is currently being displayed.
Use the and / buttons to switch between the shots. Briefly press the ◄
button to start replaying a video. Briefly press the button again to put the replay on
hold. To stop replaying the video completely, press the ◄button for approx. 3
seconds. Switch back to the recording mode by pressing and holding the ◄button
for approx. 3 seconds as long as no video replay is running.

►Incorrect use of the device and accessories can be dangerous for you and others

►This device has been designed for private use and is not suitable for commercial
purposes.
►The device and accessories may only be used by persons physically and mentally
able to operate it safely. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the device. Hazards for children and persons with limited ability to operate
electronic equipment. Always keep accessories and packaging away from children,
because the is the danger of electrocution, poisoning and suffocation.
►Do not place any containers filled with liquid, such as vases or glasses on top or
immediately next to the device. Danger of fire and electrocution.
►Do not dismantle, modify or repair your device - danger of fire and electrocution.
►Switch off the device and remove batteries if a foreign object or liquid has entered
the device. Let all parts dry thoroughly. Otherwise danger of fire or electrocution.

►Do not leave your device in places that are susceptible to considerable increases
in temperature. The housing and internal parts may be damaged, which in turn could
cause a fire.
►Do not cover your device or place it on textiles. This could produce a build-up of
heat in the device that can cause deformation of the housing and may represent a
fire hazard.
►Do not aim your device at strong sources of light like car headlights, street lights
or the direct sunlight.
►When moving your device from a cold into a warm environment, wait at least 3
hours before using it. The device can condense moisture that can damage the
electronics when the device is used before it is acclimatised.
►Only place your device on sturdy surfaces. Your device could otherwise fall or
topple over, causing damage or injury. Do not place any open ignition sources such
as burning candles on or near the device.
►Do not drop or bump device and always handle it with due care. Otherwise it can
be damaged.
►Do not operate your device whilst running or driving. You could fall or cause a
traffic accident.
►Damage to the electronics or lens caused by extraneous effects such as knocks,
falls or others are not covered by the guarantee.
Security and Disposal Hints for Batteries: Keep children away from
batteries. When a child swallows a battery, immediately seek medical help
or take the child into a hospital! Look for the right polarity (+) and (–) of
batteries! Always change all batteries. Never use old and new batteries or
batteries of different types together. Never short, open, deform or load up
batteries! Risk of injury! Never throw batteries into fire! Risk of explosion!
Hints for Environment Protection: Packages materials are raw materials
and can be recycled. Do not dispose of old devices or batteries into the
domestic waste. Cleaning: Protect the device from contamination and
pollution (use a clean drapery). Avoid using rough, coarse-grained
materials or solvents/aggressive cleaner. Wipe the cleaned device
accurately. Important Notice: Should battery fluid leak from a battery, wipe
the battery case with a soft cloth dry.
Maintenance, storage and guarantee
►Care
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, such as methylated spirits, thinners etc. to
clean your night vision device. When required, clean system components with a soft
dry cloth.

►Storage
Always remove the batteries from the housing if you will not be using your night
vision device over a longer period and store them separately. On a day to day basis
and over longer periods the batteries should be kept at a dry location out of reach of
children. When not in use always apply the lens cap to protect the
sensitive lens and keep the device in the respective bag.
