Installation Considerations
The installation, operation, and maintenance of the product should be performed only by qualified,
competent personnel that have received appropriate training for high voltage and current devices.

If hazardous voltages are mishandled while installing and operating the product in the field, it
can cause serious injury or death.
◼During normal operation of the product, hazardous voltages are present on the terminals that
connect PTs/CTs, digital inputs, power, and external I/O circuits. The PT/CT secondary can
produce lethal voltage or current caused by the energy of the primary.
◼Standard safety precautions should be followed during the installation and maintenance of the
product, including removing PT fuses and shorting CT secondaries.
◼Install the product in enclosures or a similar cabinet to prevent access to the terminal strips of
the product after wiring.

◼Connect the chassis ground terminal of the product to the earth ground to protect the device
from noise and surge. Failure to properly connect the chassis ground will void the warranty of
the product.

Warranty
Rootech Inc. provides warrants for two years from the product receipt date only to the original
purchaser of the products and software that are sold or licensed by the company.
To obtain warranty service, the purchased products should be free from serious defects in material
and workmanship.
The software is provided in an up-to-date version, thus we do not offer any warranty for the
software product.
In order to make a product claim under the warranties described above, the original purchaser
should immediately contact Rootech headquarters. Upon receiving claims, Rootech will check out
the product either at where the purchaser is or at the company after receiving the product from the
customer, who is responsible for the cost of shipping the product. After inspecting the product, we
will provide repair or replacement services for the product.
Rootech will decide at its discretion whether to repair or replace it or give a refund for the product
for when the warranty period for the product expired or issues related to the product are not
applicable for warranty terms and conditions.
Limitation of Warranty
The Warranty does not apply to uninterrupted or error-free operation of the product or cover
normal wear and tear of the product or costs caused by the removal, installation, or
troubleshooting of the customer's electrical systems.
Defects caused by any of the following factors are not covered under the warranty.
◼Improper use(alteration, accident, misuse, abuse) or failure to act in accordance with
installation, operation or maintenance instructions
◼Unauthorized modifications, changes or repair attempts
◼Failure to comply with applicable safety standards & regulations
◼Damages coming from when transporting or storing the product
◼Damages caused by the force majeure event, including fire, flood, earthquakes, storm
damage, overvoltage & lightning
◼If the original identification marks(trade-mark, serial number, etc.) have been defaced, altered,

Rootech shall not be liable for any other claims except the claims made by customers, including
the original purchaser, his employees, agents, or contractors for any loss, damage, or expense
incurred related to the purchased product when the above warranty terms and conditions are not

Any technical assistance with system design provided by Rootech's personnel or representatives
shall be deemed to be a suggestion. The original purchaser is responsible for determining the

Chapter 1 Introduction
Overview
Real-time Power Management in Switchgear Panels
Due to problems with the power supply, power facilities, and loads, various power quality
problems frequently occur in switchgear panels. Energy managers have to implement proper
preventive or follow-up measures by figuring out the cause of problems based on real-time power
analysis.
Accurate Measurements: ± 0.2% of Reading/IEC 62053-22 Class 0.5S Accuracy
Due to greenhouse gas emission regulations, it has recently become essential to establish
enterprise-wide energy management systems for efficient energy usage at sites such as plants,
manufacturing factories, and buildings. A key factor determining the reliability of energy
management systems is the measurement accuracy of meters. Accura 3300E performs accurate
measurements with ± 0.2% of reading accuracy for voltage and current and meets IEC 62053-22
Class 0.5S standards for power and energy. Thus, this allows for accurate analysis and diagnosis
of various problems in energy management at power facilities.
True RMS Measurements
Accura 3300E performs RMS measurement with 64 samples/cycle for non-linear loads.
Power Quality Data Available
Accura 3300E provides various power quality information such as harmonics [up to the 31st order],
crest factor, K-factor, and unbalance. This makes it possible for energy managers to easily identify
changes in power quality at power facilities.
Maximum/Minimum/Average Values Available In an Aggregation Interval
Accura 3300E calculates the average of the data collected every 0.2 seconds based on the data
measured over one cycle. Based on the data, Accura 3300E provides the
maximum/minimum/average values of voltage, current and power for the interval selected among
1 second, 5 seconds, and 1 minute intervals via communication. The measurement interval that is
longer than 0.2 seconds is called an “aggregation interval”. Since it includes measurement data
that change instantaneously during aggregation intervals, it allows for accurate trend analysis of
voltage, current and power quality.

The internal and external structures(product and circuit design) of Accura 3300E meet safety and

Applications
Highly Reliable Energy Management
Energy management include monitoring energy consumption, managing energy costs and energy
demand, replacing energy facilities, and performing energy planning. In this regard,
measurement accuracy is a key fac tor that determines the reliability of energy management
systems. Accura 3300E performs high-accuracy measurements with ± 0.2% of
reading accuracy for voltage and current. It also meets IEC 62053-22 Class 0.5S standards for
power and energy measurements. It allows for efficient energy management through accurate
measurements.
Preventive/ Follow-up Measures for Power Facility Management
Accura 3300E provides various information that allows for the management of energy usage,
power facilities, and power quality, as well as the management and analysis of high-efficiency
facilities. This enables energy managers to implement proper preventive or follow-up measures
through accurate analysis on power usage and quality.
Enterprise-wide Energy Management
Accura 3300E mounted on switchgear panels in power facilities and Accura 2300[S]/2350
mounted on the load side of branch circuits inside distribution panels provide the power quality
information which is essential for energy management. This allows for a true enterprise-wide
energy management through integrated measurements both at switchgear panels and distribution
panels.

Caution
-The meter should be mounted in a distribution panel or similar enclosure to ensure the

Step 1: Mounting
Accura 3300E Panel Mounting
Accura 3300E is mounted on the front of the distribution panel.
①Place the meter into the cutout. [ANSI 4”, DIN96 supported]
②Mount the connector to right side of Accura 3300E.
③Fix the meter to panel using fixing nuts. Especially in case of conforming to DIN96
compliance, through-hole to the panel is not required and using washers with fixing nuts,
the meter can be much easily mounted.
