This simple to use guide will help you set-up your phone and begin using the system in a matter of minutes. This
guide will provide all the basic system functions and responses. For more system and response details please refer
to your VoiceCom 1000™ Owners Manual. Please familiarize yourself with the button layout on the LCD display
before proceeding to Step 1. NOTE: You will also need the Owners Manual of your cell phone during the
device pairing process.

1. Press (B) and Paired Devices will be displayed
2. Press (B) and Add Device will be displayed
3. Press (B) and ROSEN will be displayed with small icons above both (B) and (C) buttons
4. Press (B) to select the Hands-Free profile NOTE: make sure your cell phone support this profile
5. The LCD display will now show this
6. The remainder of the steps will be performed using your cell phone. Refer to your cell phones
Owners Manual for the Set-Up steps necessary to pair your phone with the VoiceCom 1000™
system.
The VoiceCom 1000™ easily store up to 30 phone numbers and name tags in one of two ways. NOTE: Do this
only while the vehicle is stopped and you have minimal internal or external noise.
1. Press button (A)
2. Say “Store Name” and the system responds with “The Name Please”
3. Say the name tag of the person you want to store. Example: “Bob”, the system says “Please Repeat
The Name”
4. Say the name again. Example: “Bob”, if the system has validated the name it will say “The Number
Please”. NOTE: If it did not recognize your second repetition of the voice tag the system will say
“Input Is Too Different” and you will have to say the name again.
5. Say the entire phone number without any pauses,Example: “9-5-1-5-5-5-1-2-1-2” and the system
will repeat the numbers back to you “9-5-1-5-5-5-1-2-1-2”
6. If the phone number repeated back to you is correct say “Store” and the system will say “The Name
Is Stored”

NOTE:This will only work if your cell phone and cell service provider supports this capability.
1. Press button (A)
2. Press button (C) to access your cell phones directory
3. Press button (E) to scroll through the directory until you see the desired name on the screen
4. Press button (B) and the system will say “The Name Please”
5. Say the name tag of the person you want to store. Example: “Bob”, the system says “Please Repeat
The Name”
6. Say the name again. Example: “Bob”, IF the system has validated the name it will say “The Name Is
Stored”. NOTE:If it did not recognize your second repetition of the voice tag the system will say
“Input Is Too Different” and you will have to say the name again.
The VoiceCom 1000™ provides for simple and interactive voice controlled operation. Each command you provide
will be accompanied by a voice response from the system, including error messages.
You can easily make calls using a person’s name if that name has been previously stored in the system.
NOTE: The voice that recorded the name tags is the voice the system will recognize for this feature.

4. If this is correct you say “Dial” and the system says “The Number Is Dialed”
You can easily make calls to phone numbers not stored in either the system or your cell phones directory as 1 or
more segments of digits. A segment can include from 1-20 digits and the entire number can include no more than
20 digits. NOTE:speak numbers as continuous digits. For example: say 951-555-1212 as “9-5-1-5-5-5-1-2-1-2”, not
“9-5-1-5-5-5-twelve-twelve.”

2. Say “Dial Number” and the system says “The Number Please”
3. Say the entire phone number without any pauses Example: “9-5-1-5-5-5-1-2-1-2” and the system
will repeat the numbers back to you “9-5-1-5-5-5-1-2-1-2”
4. If this is correct say “Dial” and the system says “The Number Is Dialed”. If this is incorrect say
“Delete” and repeat steps 3-4 in this section
NOTE: If you pause more than 10 seconds between digits or commands the system says “Pardon”.
Just continue with the dialing procedure by stating the remaining digits.

2. Say “Dial Number” and the system says “The Number Please”
3. Say the first segment of number. For example, say the first 3 numbers: “9-5-1” and the system will
repeat the numbers back to you “9-5-1”.
4. Say the next segment of numbers. For example, say the remaining 7 numbers: “5-5-5-1-2-1-2” and
the system will repeat the numbers back to you “5-5-5-1-2-1-2”. If this is incorrect say “Delete”. The
system will delete the last set of digits and repeat only the correct numbers.
5. When the system says the correct number say “Dial” and the system says “The Number Is Dialed”.

NOTE: This feature requires that the number be stored in the cell phone memory. Great for dropped calls!
1. Press button (A)
2. Say “Redial” and the system says “The Number Is Dialed”
3. If the number was not stored in the cell phone memory the system will say “No Number Stored”. If
this happens you will have to re-initiate your call using the “Dial Name” or “Dial Number” process.
