IMPORTANT RECOMMANDATIONS
• The volt ge of your electric l inst ll tion must correspond to th t of the
iron (220-240V). Alw ys plug your iron into n e rth socket. Connecting to
the wrong volt ge m y c use irreversible d m ge to the iron nd will
inv lid te the gu r ntee.
• If you re using m ins extension le d, ensure th t it is corrected r ted
(16A) with n e rth, nd is fully extended.
• If the electric power cord is d m ged, it must be repl ced by n Approved
Service Centre in order to prevent ny d nger.
• Do not unplug your ppli nce by pulling on the cord.
• Never immerse your ste m iron in w ter or ny other liquid. Never hold
it under the t p w ter.
• Never touch the electric cord with the solepl te of the iron.
• Your ppli nce gives off ste m, which m y c use burns, especi lly when
you re ironing close to the edge of your ironing bo rd.
• Never direct the ste m tow rds people or nim ls.
• For your s fety, this ppli nce conforms to the pplic ble st nd rds nd
regul tions (Low Volt ge, Electrom gnetic Comp tibility, Environment l

DESCRIPTION
Your iron h s been designed to oper te using untre ted t p w ter. If in doubt, check with your
loc l w ter uthority. However, if your w ter is very h rd, you c n mix 50% untre ted t p w ter
with 50% distilled or deminer lised w ter.
IMPORTANT Before doing nything else, remove the sticker on the side fig.1
W rning! Before using your iron with the ste m function for the first time, we
recommend th t you oper te the ste m in horizont l position for few moments,
w y from your linen, i.e. press the Shot of Ste m button few times.
During the first few uses, h rmless odour nd sm ll mount of smoke m y be
notice ble.
This h s no effect on the use of the iron nd will ce se quickly.
Upon the first use, you m y notice sm ll p rticles coming out of the solepl te. This
is p rf of m nuf cturing process nd is not h rmful to you or your g rments. It will
dis ppe r fter sever l uses. You m y cceler te this by using the self cle ning
function (fig.13a - 13b) nd sh king the iron gently.

WHAT WATER MAY BE USED ?
Sm ll in size , Ste mforce combines power nd perform nce th nks to the comp ct ste m
gener tor built inside the iron. With unp r lleled ste m gener tion c p city re ching
220g/min nd v ri ble ste m of up to 50g/min, Ste mforce pushes up to 35% more
steam** into the fibres of your fabric. This extr ste m t the he rt of the f bric is the
secret of perfect ironing nd long-l sting results.
The movement sensor is n intelligent system which tempor rily stops ste m being
rele sed when the iron is not moving, even when it is pl ced horizont lly. This function
elimin tes w sted ste m while you re h ndling the clothes !

The types of w ter listed below cont in org nic w ste or miner l elements th t c n
c use spitting, brown st ining or prem ture we r of the ppli nce:
w ter from tumble dryers, scented or softened w ter, w ter from refriger tors,
b tteries or ir conditioners, pure distilled or deminer lised w ter or r in w ter should
not be used in your iron. Also do not use boiling, or bottled miner l w ter.
1 • Filling the w ter t nk
• Before filling the w ter t nk, unplug the iron fig.2.
• Set the temper ture control di l fig.3 on position (Min.)
• Open the filling inlet fig.4. Fill in w ter up to the M x. m rk. fig.5. Close the filling
inlet nd return the iron to the horizont l position.

2 • Setting the temper ture
Your iron is equipped with the Autoste m function, it utom tic lly djusts the
ste m mount nd the temper ture b sed on the selected f bric for optimum
results.
Select the f bric to be ironed on the thermost t di l. For perfect results, n optimum
position for e ch f bric h s been pre-defined. This position is m rked on the di l.
You c n lso set your iron b sed on the intern tion l temper ture me surements •,
••, •••. Ensure your thermost t di l is positioned on these settings.
When your iron re ches the required temper ture, the thermost t indic tor turns off

4 • Ste m ironing (Autoste m & Ste mforce)
Set the iron on for ste m ironing. Your iron is equipped with n integr ted comp ct
ste m gener tor which pushes up to 35% more ste m into the f brics. The ste m qu ntity
nd the temper ture will djust utom tic lly to the selected f bric.
5 • Shot of ste m (from temper ture setting (••) upw rds)
Press the shot of ste m button to gener te powerful jet of ste m concentr ted t the tip
fig.8. This precision shot llows ste m concentr tion in the front re to remove stubborn
cre ses. W it few seconds between e ch shot before pressing the button g in.
IMPORTANT Le ve n interv l of few seconds between e ch shot nd w it until the
flow of ste m h s finished before st nding the iron on its heel.
6 • Vertic l shot of ste m (from temper ture setting (••) upw rds)
Hold the iron vertic lly nd press the shot of ste m button to remove cre ses from suits, j ckets,
skirts, h nging curt ins etc. fig.9. W it few seconds between e ch shot before pressing the
button g in.
TIP Hold the iron 10 to 20 centimetres w y from the g rment to void burning
delic te f brics.
IMPORTANT Never direct the ste m t persons or nim ls!
IMPORTANT The iron t kes longer to cool down th n to he t up. We recommend th t
you st rt with f brics to be ironed t low temper ture. For mixed f brics set the
temper ture for the most delic te f bric. At the first he ting-up of the cold iron ple se
w it until the Thermost t indic tor goes off the second time. Then the set temper ture
is re ched nd you c n begin ironing.
TIP: Alw ys spr y st rch onto the reverse side of the f bric to be ironed.

AFTER USE
10 • Emptying
Unplug the iron fig.2. Pour w y rem ining w ter fig.12.
Set the temper ture control di l fig.3 on position Min. Set the iron on dry position .
11 • Storing
Allow the ppli nce to cool down before winding the cord round the heel. Store the iron
on its heel in dry nd s fe pl ce fig.14.
IMPORTANT Do not wind the cord round the hot solepl te. Never store your iron
pl ced down on the solepl te.
Remove the plug from the w ll socket nd let the iron cool down before
m inten nce nd cle ning.
14 • Self Cle n (prolongs the life of the iron)
The Self Cle n function flushes dirt nd sc le p rticles out of the ste m ch mber.
1. Fill the w ter t nk with untre ted t p w ter up to the m x m rk nd he t the iron to the
••• temper ture. Switch off the ste m.
2. Unplug the iron nd hold it over sink horizont lly.
3. Push the self cle n button for 1 minute fig.13a-13b nd sh ke the iron gently: ste m will
now begin to build up. After few seconds w ter will emerge from the solepl te, rinsing
dirt nd sc le p rticles out of the ste m ch mber.
4. Plug in the iron nd llow the iron to he t up g in. W it until the rem ining w ter h s
ev por ted.
5. Unplug from the m ins nd llow the iron to fully cool down. When cool, the solepl te
c n be wiped with d mp cloth.
13 • Cle ning the iron
When the ppli nce h s cooled down, wipe the iron down with d mp cloth or sponge. A non
br sive cle ning gent c n be used.
Altern tively the ROWENTA cle ning kit ZD100 D1 c n be used. After cle ning the solepl te, use
the Self Cle n function to remove residues of the cle ner from the ste m holes.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
IMPORTANT Do not use sh rp or br sive cle ning gents or objects to cle n the
solepl te nd other p rts of the iron.
WARNING : Do not use desc ling gents even if dvertised for ste m irons. They will
perm nently d m ge your iron.
TIP Use the Self Cle n function pprox. every 2 weeks. If the w ter is very h rd,
cle n the iron weekly.
12 • Anti-sc le system
Your iron cont ins n nti-sc le c rtridge to reduce sc le deposits.
This consider bly prolongs the oper tion l life of your iron.
The nti-sc le c rtridge is n integr l p rt of the w ter t nk nd does not need to be
repl ced.
7 • Spr y
Press the spr y button to moisten difficult cre ses fig.10. You c n use the spr y function
t ny temper ture.
8 • Anti-Drip system
It prevents w ter dripping out of the solepl te when the temper ture is too low.
9 • Auto Off function
• For your s fety, the electronic system cuts off the power nd the uto off indic tor light
fl shes fig.11 when:
- The iron rem ins motionless for more th n 8 minutes on its heel
- The iron rem ins fl t or on its side for more th n 30 seconds
To rest rt the iron, just move it gently until the w rning light stops fl shing.
