IMPORTANT RECOMMANDATIONS
• The voltage of your electrical i stallatio must correspo d to that of the iro (220-
240V). Always plug your iro i to a earth socket. Co ecti g to the wro g voltage
may cause irreversible damage to the iro a d will i validate the guara tee.
• If you are usi g a mai s exte sio lead, e sure that it is corrected rated (16A) with
a earth, a d is fully exte ded.
• If the electric power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a Approved Service
Ce tre i order to preve t a y da ger.
• Do ot u plug your applia ce by pulli g o the cord.
• Never immerse your steam iro i water or a y other liquid. Never hold it u der the
water tap.
• Never touch the electric cord with the soleplate of the iro .
• Your applia ce gives off steam, which may cause bur s, especially whe you are

DESCRIPTION
BEFORE USE
WARNING ! Remove any labels from the soleplate before heating up the iron.
WARNING ! Before using your iron with the steam function for the first time we recommend
that you operate it in a horizontal position for a few moments away from your linen i.e. press
the Shot of Steam button a few times.
Upon the first use you may notice small particles coming out of the soleplate. This is parf of
manufacturing process and is not harmful to you or your garments. It will disappear after
several uses. You may accelerate this by using the self cleaning function (fig 5a – 5b) and
shaking the iron gently.
1 • What water may be used ?
Your iro has bee desig ed to operate usi g u treated tap water. If i doubt, check
with your local water authority. However, if your water is very hard, you ca mix
50% u treated tap water with 50% distilled or demi eralised water.
IMPORTANT Heat concentrates the elements contained in water during evaporation. The
types of water listed below contain organic waste or mineral elements that can cause
spitting brown staining or premature wear of the appliance : water from clothes dryers
scented or softened water water from refrigerators batteries or air conditioners pure
distilled or demineralised water or rain water should not be used in your iron. Also do not use
boiled filtered or bottled water.
IRONING BOARD: Due to the powerful steam output a mesh type ironing board must be used
to allow any excess steam to escape and to avoid steam venting sideways.

2 • Filli g the water ta k
IMPORTANT Before filling the water tank unplug the iron and set the steam control to dry
position .
Tilt the iro . Ope the filli g i let (fig.6). Pour i water up to the max mark (fig.7).
Close the filler i let (fig.8) a d retur the iro to the horizo tal.
3 • Temperature a d steam adjustme t
Set the iro temperature to suit the type of material usi g the temperature co trol
dial (fig.3).
Temperature co trol: The temperature co trol light i dicates that the soleplate is
heati g up. Whe the temperature co trol light goes off (fig.10), the set
temperature is reached a d you ca begi iro i g.
IMPORTANT The iron takes longer to cool down than to heat up. We recommend that you start
with fabrics to be ironed at a low temperature.
For mixed fabrics set the temperature for the most delicate fabric.
TIP Always spray starch onto the reverse side of the fabric to be ironed.
4 • Dry iro i g
Set the variable steam co trol to (fig.11) a d set the temperature to suit the
type of material (care poi ts •, ••, •••).
5 • Eco steam system
Your Steam Iro is equipped with the Eco Steam System. This fu ctio offers 3 steam
setti gs for optimal iro i g:
- DRY positio : For a iro i g without steam, ideal for delicates or perfect fi ishes.
- ECO positio : For a optimized iro i g with a steam output perfectly adapted to all
fabric types. This setti g e sures qualitative iro i g results while savi g e ergy.
- BOOST positio : For i creased variable steam output to reach perfect result o
thickest fabrics.

TIP Hold the iron 10 to 20 centimetres away from the garment to avoid burning delicate fabrics.
Hold the iro to the vertical a d press the shot of steam butto ( fig.17) to remove
creases from suits, jackets, skirts, ha gi g curtai s etc.
Wait a few seco ds betwee each shot before pressi g the butto agai .
IMPORTANT Never direct the steam at persons or animals!
8 • Spray
Press the spray butto to dampe stubbor creases (fig.18).
9 • A ti-Drip system

AFTER USE

i to the steam chamber from scali g or blocki g up.
11 • Stori g
Allow the applia ce to cool dow before stori g the iro sta di g o its heel
(fig.20).
IMPORTANT Do not wind the cord around the hot soleplate. Never store your iron placed down
on the soleplate (fig 21/22).
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
IMPORTANT Unplug and allow the iron to fully cool down before maintenance and cleaning.
12 • A ti-scale system
Your iro co tai s a a ti-scale cartridge to reduce scale deposits. This
co siderably prolo gs the operatio al life of your iro .
The a ti-scale cartridge is a i tegral part of the water ta k a d does ot eed to
be replaced.
IMPORTANT Do not use descaling agents as these damage the lining of the steam chamber
and so may impair the steam function.
13 • Self Clea fu ctio
(prolo gs the life of the iro )
The Self Clea fu ctio flushes dirt a d scale particles out of the steam chamber.
Fill the water ta k with u treated tap water up to the max mark a d heat the iro to
the ••• temperature. U plug the iro a d hold it over a si k horizo tally. Press the
Self Clea butto 1 mi ute a d shake the iro ge tly (fig.5a-5b): steam will ow
begi to build up. After a few seco ds water will emerge from the soleplate, ri si g
dirt a d scale particles out of the steam chamber.
Plug i the iro a d allow the iro to heat up agai . Wait u til the remai i g water
has evaporated. U plug from the mai s a d allow the iro to fully cool dow .
Whe cool, the soleplate ca be wiped with a damp cloth.
TIP Use the Self Clean function approx. every 2 weeks. If the water is very hard clean the iron
weekly.
14 • Clea i g the iro
Whe the applia ce has cooled dow , wipe it dow with a damp cloth or spo ge,
as required.
Remove the dirt from the soleplate with a damp cloth or spo ge.
IMPORTANT Do not use sharp or abrasive cleaning agents or objects to clean soleplate and
other parts of the iron. If the appliance has been standing unused for long periods use the Self
Clean function (see § 13).

VOR DEM GEBRAUCH
ACHTUNG! Vor dem Aufheizen des Bügeleisen den Sohlenschutz entfernen (je nach Modell)

ACHTUNG! Vor dem ersten Gebrauch Ihres Bügeleisens empfehlen wir Ihnen das Gerät
einige Augenblicke fern von der Bügelwäsche waagerecht zu halten und die Dampfstoßtaste
mehrmals zu betätigen.
Anfänglich kann es zu Rauch- und Geruchsentwicklung kommen die unbedenklich ist und
von selbst aufhört.
Wenn Sie das Bügeleisen das erste Mal verwenden werden Sie eventuell feststellen dass
aus der Sohle kleine Partikel herauskommen. Dies hängt noch mit der Fertigung zusammen
und ist weder für Sie noch für Ihre Kleidung schädlich. Nach mehrfacher Nutzung werden
keine Partikeln mehr ausscheiden. Sie können dies auch beschleunigen indem Sie die
Selbstreinigungsfunktion einschalten (Abb. 5a – 5b) und das Bügeleisen leicht schütteln.
