SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
The safety recommendations outlined in this section are to be read and followed before operating this appliance.
WARNING: Risk of child entrapment.
• If/When you dispose of the unit take the doors off and leave the shelves in place so that children may not easily climb inside.
• Never allow children to operate, play with, or crawl inside the appliance.
• Never clean appliance parts with flammable fluids. The fumes can create a fire hazard or explosion.
• Do not store or use gasoline or any other flammable vapors or liquids in the vicinity of this or any other appliance. The fumes can create a
fire hazard or explosion.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Before Using Your Wine Cellar
• Remove all contents from package.
• Check to be sure the following parts are included:
5 chrome shelves / 1 chrome wine holder/serving basket / 2 Keys / Instruction manual
• Before connecting the appliance to the power source, let it stand upright for approximately 24 hours. This will reduce the possibility of a
malfunction in the cooling system from handling during transportation.
• Clean the interior surface with a damp warm cloth.
Installation of Your Wine Cellar
• Place your appliance on a strong sturdy surface.
• Adjust the legs to level the unit.
• This unit can be used free-standing or built-in. Allow 3 inches of space between the sides, back and top of the appliance. This will allow
proper air circulation.
• Plug the appliance into a properly installed outlet. Do not under any circumstances cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the
power cord. Any questions concerning power and/or grounding should be directed toward a certified electrician or an authorized
Royal Sovereign International service center.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The RWC-4000E will automatically turn on once it is plugged in.
The Automatic Temperature (default) setting will set the temperature at 55°F (13°C).

TEMPERATURE CONTROL
To adjust the temperature, press the SET button and then press up and down buttons to select desired temperature. When the
display panel shows the desired temperature press the SET button to lock that temperature in
The range between 45°F and 65°F is ideal for the storage of wines. It is recommended you install the wine cellar in a place where the
ambient temperature is between 72°-78°F. If the ambient temperature is above or below recommended temperatures, the performance
of the unit may be affected. For example, placing the unit in extreme cold or hot conditions may cause interior temperatures to fluctuate.
The range of 45°-65°F may not be reached. The temperatures may fluctuate depending on whether or not the interior bulb is on or off.
NOTE: There will be a small temperature difference between the top and bottom shelves because hot air rises and cold air falls.

Recommended Temperatures for Chilling Wine
Red Wines: 59-65°F / Dry/White Wines 49-56°F / Sparkling Wines 45-49°F / Rose Wines 49-51°F
Interior Light
To turn the interior light on in the unit press the ON/OFF button located on the left side of the control panel.
NOTE: The temperatures may fluctuate depending on whether or not the interior bulb is on or off.
Compressor run Indicator
When the compressor is on, the control panel will display an icon similar to a running fan.
If the compressor is off this icon should stop running as well.
LCD
When any key is pressed the display panel will light up. If no other key is pressed the light will turn off after 2 minutes.
Alarm Mode
When there is an error, the alarm will sound and an error code will show on the display panel. It will read either "PROBE ERROR",
"LOW TEMP", or "HIGH TEMP", if this occurs please refer to the specifications section in this manual.

MAINTENANCE
Cleaning Your Wine Cellar
1. Unplug the wine cellar, and remove the bottles.
2. Wash the inside and shelves with warm water and a soft cloth.
3. The outside of the wine cellar should be cleaned with a little soap and warm water.
4. It may also be necessary to periodically wipe the bottom part of the storage area, as the wine cellar is designed to retain humidity,
and condensation may collect there.
5. Dry interior and exterior with a dry soft cloth.
NOTE: During long absences, remove all the bottles; unplug your wine cellar, clean your wine cellar, and leave the door open slightly to
avoid possible formation of condensation, mold, or odors.
Power Failure
The unit is designed to "memorize" the last set temperature incase of power failure.
Moving Your Wine Cellar
1. Remove all of the bottles.
2. Turn the leveling screws up to the base to avoid damage.
3. Lock the door.
4. Make sure the wine cellar stays in the upright position during transportation.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
You can solve many common wine cellar problems on your own. Try the suggestions below to see if you can solve the problem before
calling for service.
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE
Wine cooler does not operate.
Wine cooler is not cold enough.
Compressor turns on and off frequently
•Not plugged in.
•The circuit breaker tripped or blown fuse.
•Check the temperature control setting.
•External environment may require a higher setting.
•The door is opened too often.
•The door is not closed completely.
•The door gasket does not seal properly.
•The room temperature is hotter than normal.
•A large amount of contents has been added to the wine cooler.
•The door is opened too often.
•The door is not closed completely.
•The temperature control is not set correctly.
•The door gasket does not seal properly.
•The wine cooler does not have the correct clearances.

PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE
The light does not work.
Vibrations.
The wine cooler seems to make too much
noise.
The door will not close properly.
•The home circuit breaker or fuse has tripped.
•The wine cooler is unplugged.
•The bulb has burned out
•The switch is in the "OFF" position.
•Check to assure that the wine cooler is level.
•A rattling noise may come from the flow of the refrigerant,which is normal.
•As each cycle ends, you may hear gurgling sounds caused by the flow of
refrigerant in your wine cooler.
•The wine cooler is not level.
•The wine cooler is not level.
•The shelves are out of position.

This warranty applies to repair or replacement of product found to be defective in material or workmanship for one year from the date of
the original purchase. This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser.
This warranty does not apply to damage resulting from abuse, misuse or improper maintenance or damage that is attributable to acts of
God. Royal Sovereign International is not liable for incidental or consequential damages of any nature. This limitation would not apply if
you live in those states that do not permit the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages.
If repair becomes necessary, please contact our customer service department toll free, at 800-397-1025 for the nearest authorized service
center. You will be responsible for all freight, insurance, and any other transportation charges to get the unit to our factory or service
center. If shipping is required, be sure to pack the unit properly to avoid shipping damages, as we will not be responsible for such damages.
Warranty Excludes:
• Content losses of food or other due to spoilage
• Parts and labor costs for the following: Doors, door springs, and/or frames
Inner door panels, shelves, door handles, and/or door supports
Light bulbs and/or housing
Cabinet liners
Replacement of house fuses or resetting circuit breakers
• Repairs performed by unauthorized services
