This kit provides power assist to Rubbermaid Commercial
housekeeping carts and platform and tilt trucks. These
motorized kits are not designed for home-use.
2 READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS
This machine was built to be operated according to the rules
for safe operation included in this manual. As with any type of
power equipment, carelessness, or error on the part of the
operator can result in serious injury. These machines can knock
down and run over the operator. Always keep in mind that a
fully loaded cart or truck cannot stop instantaneously.
• Keep all nuts, bolts, and screws tight to ensure the
equipment is in safe working condition.
• Always remove battery pack from machines before
adjusting, cleaning, or repairing.
• If situations occur that are not covered in this manual,
use care and good judgment, or contact Customer Service
for assistance.
• Before each use, examine the machine for damaged,
missing, or loose parts such as screws, nuts, bolts,
and caps.
• Tighten correctly all the fasteners and caps.
• Clean the machine with a dry cloth. Do not use water.
• Powered trucks and carts are designed for dry
indoor use or on dry paved lots. Do not use in rainy or
flooded conditions.
• Do not run trucks or carts over wet floors or through spills.
• Read this operation manual carefully in its entirety before
assembling or operating this machine. Read, understand,
and follow all instructions on the machine and in the
manuals before operation. Familiarize yourself with the
controls and proper use of this machine before operation.
Save this manual for future and regular reference and ensure
new users of the machine read this operation manual before
operating the machine.
• Don’t overreach, always keep proper footing and balance.
• Injuries may occur due to the machine being pulled over the
foot during a fall caused by slipping or tripping. A slip and
fall can cause serious personal injury. If you feel you are
losing your footing, release the control paddles.
• Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the
battery pack outside of the temperature range specified in
the instructions. Charging improperly or at temperatures
outside of the specified range may damage the battery and
increase the risk of fire.
• Do not modify or attempt to repair the machine or the
battery pack.
• Use only approved batteries and chargers. Non-approved
batteries and chargers may cause damage to the machine or
injure the operator.
• Do not dispose of the battery in a fire. The cells could catch
fire or explode. Check with local codes and waste
management for proper recycling or disposal instructions.
This machine was built to be operated according to the rules

When using electric machinery, basic safety precautions
should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric
shock, and personal injury. Please read this operation guide

2.1 GENERAL OPERATION 2.2 SERVICE/OPERATION
• When the battery pack is not in use, keep the battery away
from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails,
screws, or other small metal objects that can make a
connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the
battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
• Do not open or destroy the battery. Electrolytes
contained within the battery are corrosive and may cause
damage to eyes or skin if released. Electrolytes may be toxic
if swallowed.
• Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the
battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs,
flush for 15 minutes with water. If liquid contacts eyes,
additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the
battery may cause irritation or burns.
• Do not expose a battery pack or appliance to fire or
excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature
above 266°F (130°C) may cause explosion.
• Exercise care in handling batteries to avoid shorting the
battery with conducting materials such as rings, bracelets,
keys, etc. The battery or conductor may overheat and cause
burns if contact with said materials is made.
• Do not use a battery pack or appliance that is damaged or
modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit
unpredictable behavior resulting in fire, explosion, or risk
of injury. If battery is damaged and needs to be replaced,
contact Rubbermaid Commercial Products Customer Service

BATTERY DISPOSAL
The toxic and corrosive materials below are in the batteries used
in this machine.
Lithium-Ion, a toxic material.
BATTERY WARNING & ENVIRONMENTALLY
SAFE BATTERY DISPOSAL
If the battery pack cracks or breaks, with or without leaks, do
not recharge it and do not use. Discard the damaged battery
and replace with a new battery pack. DO NOT TRY TO REPAIR
BATTERY! To prevent injury and risk of fire, explosion, or
electric shock, and to avoid damage to the environment:
• Cover the terminals of the battery with heavy-duty
adhesive tape.
• DO NOT try to remove or destroy any of the battery
pack components.
• DO NOT try to open the battery pack.
• If a leak develops, the released electrolytes are corrosive
and toxic. DO NOT get the solution in the eyes or on skin,
and do not swallow it.
• DO NOT place these batteries in your regular
household trash.
• When discarding a battery, take the battery to a
local recycling and/or disposal center certified for
lithium-ion disposal.
• DO NOT incinerate the machine, any parts thereof,
or batteries.
• DO NOT put the battery where it will become part of any
waste landfill or municipal solid waste stream.
• Discard all toxic materials in a specified manner to
prevent contamination of the environment. Before
discarding damaged or worn-out Li-ion battery, contact
your local waste disposal agency, or the local
Environmental Protection Agency for information and
specific instructions.

• If any parts are damaged or missing, contact

Accidents can occur if the operator is not alert to the presence
of children or bystanders.
• Do not open or destroy the battery. Electrolytes
contained within the battery are corrosive and may cause
damage to eyes or skin if released. Electrolytes may be
toxic if swallowed.
• Keep the area of operation clear of all persons, particularly
small children, and pets.
• Use extreme care when approaching blind corners,
doorways, or other objects that may obscure your vision
of a child or bystander. Stop the machine if anyone enters
the area.
• Never allow anyone under 18 years old to operate the
machine or allow any persons 18+ with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the machine by a person
responsible for their safety. Operators 18 years old and
over should fully read and understand the operators’
manual and safety rules. Only responsible individuals who
are familiar with these rules of safe operation should be
allowed to use this machine.

5.2 INSTALL THE BATTERY
Do not exceed maximum load capacity
There are two battery slots in the battery compartment. The
left-hand battery slot controls the battery power. The right-hand
slot is unpowered spare battery storage that can be used to
extend the work cycle.
To install a battery:
1. Open the battery door (Platform Truck/Tilt Truck).
2. Align the grooves on the battery with the ribs in the
left-hand battery slot.
3. Push the battery into the battery slot until the battery locks
in place. The battery contacts will engage, and the latch will
drop into place.
4. Close the battery cover.
The safety key functions as an on/off switch. The safety key is
also the emergency stop switch. In an emergency, pulling the
safety key will cut power to the motor and the machine will
coast to a stop.
To power on the system:
1. Make sure there is a charged battery in the battery
compartment’s left-hand slot.
2. Insert the safety key into the hand controller’s system and
the motor energize.
In case of emergency:
Pull the safety key.
Your cart or truck will de-energize and roll to a stop.
5.4 ADJUST THE HAND CONTROLLER
You can adjust the speed and direction of the motor. Use the
knob at the top left of the hand controller to adjust the speed of
the hand controller. Use the switch at the right to adjust the
motor to forward or reverse.
Adjust the speed:
1. Turn the knob to the left to slow the motor.
2. Turn the knob to the right to speed up the motor.
Set the motor to forward or reverse.
1. Press “F” to set the motor to forward travel.
2. Press “R” to set the motor to reverse travel.

5.7 CHANGING BATTERIES CONTINUED
Change the batteries as follows:
1. Stop the machine.
2. Pull the safety key to turn off the controls.
3. Lift the battery cover.
4. Lift and hold up the left battery latch.
5. Pull out the left battery and lay it aside.
6. Lift and hold up the right battery latch.
7. Pull out the right battery and align and push it into the
left slot.
8. Put the discharged battery into the right slot.
9. Close the battery door.
10. Insert safety key and return to work.
NOTE: If you do not have a spare battery, the machine can still
be used manually without power. The empty battery should be
taken back to the charger to be fully charged for next use.
5.8 END OF WORK SHIFT
At the end of the work shift:
1. Return your machine to its storage location.
2. Pull the safety key to shut down the controls.
3. Remove the batteries (1) and place them on a charger (2).
4. Make sure the charger is plugged in and the green light (3)
is flashing.
5.5 START/STOP MOTION
Grab the handle, squeeze and hold the right-hand paddle to start
movement. Release the paddle(s) to stop. On brake equipped
systems, squeeze the left paddle to quickly stop motion.
NOTE: The Housekeeping cart does not have brakes. You may
squeeze either or both paddles to start motion. You must release
both paddles to stop motion.
5.6 CHANGING BATTERIES
While working, you may notice the machine is slowing down.
Check the battery as shown below. If it is low and there is
another charged battery, change batteries.
CHECK BATTERY CAPACITY
Press the battery capacity indicator (BCI) button. The lights will
illuminate according to the remaining battery capacity level. See
chart below:

Rubbermaid Commercial Products LLC warrants that for a
period of two years from the date of purchase by the original
end-user purchaser, the items listed below will be free from
defects in material and workmanship. Rubbermaid Commercial
Products LLC, at its option, will replace, free of charge with
postage costs paid for (excluding any costs associated with
packaging the defective item back to the manufacturer), the
item or any component of the item found to be defective
during the warranty period. Keep the original sales receipt,
invoice, or other proof of purchase. Proof of purchase is
required to obtain warranty replacement. This limited
warranty is valid only for units which have been maintained in
accordance with the instructions in the owner's manual
supplied with the newly purchased product.
How long does the coverage last?
The limited warranty lasts two years from the date of initial
purchase. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty
replacement.
What will Rubbermaid Commercial Products do?
For a period of two years from the date of purchase, if an item
in the table set forth above proves defective in material and
workmanship during normal use by the purchaser of this
product, Rubbermaid Commercial Products will replace the
item, or any component of the item found to be defective
during the warranty period with a new or remanufactured
replacement part at no cost to the purchaser. If the item is no
longer available, then replacement will be made with a similar
item of equal or greater value. This is your exclusive warranty.
What does this warranty not cover?
The warranty applies only to the original end-user
purchaser/owner from the date of initial purchase and is not
transferable (excepted where prohibited by local law, which may
include the Province of Quebec). Do NOT attempt to repair or
modify the items to remedy any damage or defect covered by
this limited warranty. Rubbermaid Commercial Products LLC
reserves all rights to decline coverage if the defect or damage
was caused by unauthorized attempts to repair or modify the
item. All failures or defects must be reported within the
warranty period. Any use of the product for purposes other than

5.2 INSTALACIÓN DE LA BATERÍA
No exceda la capacidad de carga máxima
Hay dos ranuras para batería en el compartimiento. La ranura de la
izquierda controla la potencia de la batería. La ranura de la derecha
es para almacenar la batería de repuesto desenergizada que puede
utilizarse para extender el ciclo de trabajo.
Para colocar una batería:
1. Abra la puerta del compartimiento de la batería (carro
plataforma/carro basculante).
2. Alinee las muescas de la batería con las nervaduras de la ranura
izquierda.
3. Presione la batería en la ranura hasta que encaje en su lugar.
Se activarán los contactos de la batería y el pestillo quedará
ubicado en su lugar.
4. Cierre la cubierta de la batería.
La llave de seguridad funciona como interruptor de encendido/apagado.
La llave de seguridad también es el interruptor de parada de emergencia.
Durante una emergencia, al tirar de la llave de seguridad se interrumpirá
la alimentación del motor y la máquina se detendrá por inercia.
Para encender el sistema:
1. Asegúrese de que haya una batería cargada en la ranura
izquierda del compartimiento.
2. Coloque la llave de seguridad en el sistema del controlador
manual y el motor se encenderá.
En caso de emergencia:
Tire de la llave de seguridad.
El carrito o carro se desenergizará y se detendrá por inercia.
5.4 AJUSTE DEL CONTROLADOR MANUAL
Es posible ajustar la velocidad y la dirección del motor. Utilice la
perilla ubicada en la parte superior del controlador manual para
ajustar la velocidad del controlador manual. Utilice el interruptor de la
derecha para ajustar el motor y moverse hacia adelante o hacia atrás.

5.7 CAMBIO DE BATERÍAS (CONTINUACIÓN)
Cambie las baterías de la siguiente manera:
1. Detenga la máquina.
2. Tire de la llave de seguridad para apagar los controles.
3. Levante la cubierta de la batería.
4. Mantenga levantado el pestillo de la batería de la izquierda.
5. Retire la batería de la izquierda y colóquela a un costado.
6. Mantenga levantado el pestillo de la batería de la derecha.
7. Retire la batería de la derecha, alinéela y ubíquela en la ranura
izquierda.
8. Coloque la batería descargada en la ranura derecha.
9. Cierre la puerta de la batería.
10. Coloque la llave de seguridad y continúe trabajando.
NOTA: si no cuenta con una batería de repuesto, la máquina todavía
se puede utilizar manualmente sin alimentación. La batería vacía debe
conectarse al cargador para que quede cargada por completo para el
próximo uso.
5.8 FIN DEL TURNO LABORAL
Al finalizar el turno laboral:
1. Lleve la máquina al lugar de almacenamiento.
2. Tire de la llave de seguridad para apagar los controles.
3. Retire las baterías (1) y conéctelas a un cargador (2).
4. Asegúrese de que el cargador esté enchufado y de que la luz
verde (3) esté parpadeando.
5.5 MOVIMIENTO DE ARRANQUE/PARADA
Agarre la manija, apriétela y sostenga el mando derecho para comenzar
a moverse. Suelte el/los mando(s) para detenerse. En sistemas con
frenos, apriete el mando izquierdo para detenerse rápidamente.
NOTA: el carrito de limpieza no tiene frenos. Puede apretar uno o
ambos mandos para comenzar a moverse. Debe soltar ambos mandos
para detenerse.
5.6 CAMBIO DE LAS BATERÍAS
Al trabajar, es posible que note que la máquina avanza más
lentamente. Verifique la batería como se muestra a continuación. Si
no tiene mucha carga y hay otra batería cargada, cambie las baterías.

Cette machine a été conçue afin d’être utilisée conformément aux règles

2.1 UTILISATION GÉNÉRALE 2.2 ENTRETIEN ET FONCTIONNEMENT
• Lorsque le bloc-batterie n’est pas utilisé, entreposer la batterie
loin d’objets de métal, comme des trombones, des pièces de
monnaie, des clés, des clous, des vis ou d’autres petits objets de
métal qui peuvent relier les bornes entre elles. Court-circuiter les
bornes de la batterie peut provoquer des brûlures ou un incendie.
• N’ouvrez pas et ne détruisez pas la batterie. Les électrolytes
contenus dans la batterie sont corrosifs et peuvent causer des
blessures aux yeux ou à la peau s’ils sont libérés. Les électrolytes
peuvent être toxiques s’ils sont avalés.
• Dans des conditions abusives, du liquide peut être éjecté de la
batterie. Évitez tout contact avec ce liquide. En cas de contact
accidentel, rincez la région avec de l’eau pendant 15 minutes. Si
le liquide entre en contact avec les yeux, demandez également de
l’aide médicale. Le liquide éjecté par la batterie peut causer de
l’irritation ou des brûlures.
• N’exposez pas un bloc-batterie ou un appareil au feu ou à des
températures excessives. L’exposition au feu ou à des températures
supérieures à 130 °C (266 °F) peut causer une explosion.
• Faites attention de la manipulation des batteries afin d’éviter de
les court-circuiter avec des matériaux conducteurs, comme des
bagues, des bracelets, des clés, etc. La batterie ou le conducteur
peut surchauffer et causer des brûlures en cas de contact avec de
tels matériaux.
• N’utilisez pas un bloc-batterie ou un appareil qui est endommagé
ou modifié. Les batteries endommagées ou modifiées peuvent
présenter un comportement imprévisible et causer un incendie,
une explosion ou un risque de blessure. Si la batterie est
endommagée et doit être remplacée, communiquez sans frais avec
le service à la clientèle de Rubbermaid Commercial Products au
800 347-9800 du lundi au vendredi de 8 h à 17 h (Heure de l’Est).

• Recouvrez les bornes de la batterie de ruban adhésif solide.
• NE retirez et ne détruisez PAS des composants du bloc-batterie.
• N’essayez PAS d’ouvrir le bloc-batterie.
• Les électrolytes libérés en cas de fuite sont corrosifs et
toxiques. EMPÊCHEZ la solution d’entrer en contact avec les
yeux ou la peau et ne l’ingérez pas.
• NE jetez PAS ces batteries dans les ordures ménagères

• Pour éliminer une batterie, apportez-la à un centre de
recyclage ou d’élimination local certifié pour l’élimination du
lithium-ion.
• N’incinérez PAS la machine, des pièces de la machine ni des
batteries.
• NE placez PAS la batterie dans un lieu de collecte de déchets
destinés à l’enfouissement ou de déchets solides municipaux.
• Éliminez tous les matériaux toxiques de la manière spécifiée

d’éliminer une batterie au lithium-ion endommagée ou usée,
communiquez avec votre organisme local d’élimination des
déchets ou l’agence locale pour la protection de l’environne-
ment afin d’obtenir des informations et des instructions
précises.

5.1 RENSEIGNEMENTS TECHNIQUES
5.2 INSTALLATION DE LA BATTERIE
Ne dépassez pas la capacité de charge maximale.
Il y a deux emplacements de batterie dans le compartiment à batterie.
L’emplacement de gauche contrôle l’alimentation de la batterie.
L’emplacement de droite est un rangement non alimenté pour une batterie
de rechange pouvant être utilisé pour prolonger le cycle de travail.
Pour installer une batterie :
1. Ouvrez la porte de la batterie (chariot à plateforme/chariot à
bascule).
2. Alignez les rainures de la batterie avec les nervures de
l’emplacement de batterie de gauche.
3. Poussez la batterie dans l’emplacement de batterie jusqu’à ce
que la batterie soit verrouillée en place. Les contacts de la
batterie s’engageront, et le loquet s’abaissera en place.
4. Fermez le couvercle de la batterie.
La clé de sécurité sert de commutateur de mise sous et hors tension.
La clé de sécurité est aussi le commutateur d’arrêt d’urgence. En cas
d’urgence, tirez la clé de sécurité pour couper l’alimentation du
moteur et arrêter la machine.
Pour alimenter le système :
1. Assurez-vous que l’emplacement de gauche du compartiment de
la batterie contient une batterie chargée.
2. Insérez la clé de sécurité dans le système du contrôleur manuel,
et le moteur sera alimenté.
En cas d’urgence :
Tirez la clé de sécurité.
L’alimentation de votre chariot sera coupée, et celui-ci s’arrêtera.
5.4 RÉGLAGE DU CONTRÔLEUR MANUEL
Vous pouvez régler la vitesse et la direction du moteur. Utilisez la
poignée située en haut à gauche du contrôleur manuel pour régler la
vitesse du contrôleur manuel. Utilisez le commutateur de droite pour
régler le moteur en marche avant ou arrière.
Réglage de la vitesse :
1. Tournez la poignée vers la gauche pour ralentir le moteur.
2. Tournez la poignée vers la droite pour accélérer le moteur.
Réglage du moteur en marche avant ou arrière :
1. Appuyez sur « F » pour régler le moteur en marche avant.
2. Appuyez sur « R » pour régler le moteur en marche arrière.
