Thank you for purchasing this RUNPOTEC RUNPOMETER RM35. These
instructions for use provide information on safe use. Read the instructions
for use thoroughly before commissioning. If you have any questions about
commissioning, assembly, safety and applications, or problems, please
contact your authorised retailer or RUNPOTEC. You will find our contact
data on page 2. See page 4 – 5 for application examples.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
General information
Switch on by pressing any button. 10 minutes after the last interaction,
the RUNPOMETER switches off again.
(The time can be changed in the menu settings - 5. AutoOFF time)
Standby mode – Activates 1 minute after last interaction - switch back on by
pressing any button or moving the measuring wheel.
(The time can be changed in the menu settings - 4. Standby time)

∑ 1 (Total 1) – ∑ 2 (Total 2) – After pressing the respective button, the current
counter reading (positive or negative) is added to TOTAL 1 or TOTAL 2 and
the current counter reading is set to 0.
Hold the button in question down for 3 sec. to reset the value to 0.
GMEASURED VALUE DISPLAY +/- (positive/negative)
RES button Dhold down for 3 seconds to reset the value to 0.
HACTUAL – Counts down the set countdown value to 0 in the pull direction
and outputs an audible signal. Then restarts.
ICOUNTDOWN – Preset the desired measuring length.
Adjust with the Plus B/Minus Ckeys.
Fine adjustment - short press – fast adjustment - hold down.
Disables the countdown function - resets the value to 0.
Menu settings
Press and hold the Amenu button for 2 sec. to open the settings (if there is no
activity, the settings menu is closed after 30 sec.). Press the Amenu button
again to browse the settings. To change the current setting, press the Plus B/
Minus Ckeys. The value is saved.
1 Display intensity – backlighting
2 Duration of display backlighting
3 Audible signal volume
4 Standby time – Time until standby mode is activated - the display is
switched off after this. The device can be reactivated by moving the
measuring wheel or pressing any button.
5 AutoOFF – time, time to automatic shutdown
(from the start of standby mode to completely switching off)
6 Meter/Feet – the selected unit of measure ashes
7 Software version – current software version

Select guide jaws for the respective cable diameter according to the table be-
low. Insert in pairs, with the selected diameter facing up, into the holes provided.
See page 4 – 5 for further application examples

Open the lid of the RUNPOMETER with the 1locking button on the side. Select
and install the guide jaws 2(see Using the guide jaws). Insert the cable to be
measured and close the instrument lid. Align cable start ush with front housing
surface. Note the index mark (arrow)! 5
Reset the measured value to 0 (hold RES button Ddown for 3 seconds).
Pull the cable slowly and evenly by hand to the desired length/length to
be measured. Read off the measured value/cut the cable, the front housing
surface is the index mark
Index mark 5– Arrow marks front housing surface of the device as measuring
reference (start/end point for measurement).
The RUNPOMETER RM35 can be attached to the RUNPOTEC system case for
stationary operation by means of a mounting plate.
1Open the folded system case mounting plate by pressing the red button.
2Place on case, engage to case on one side.
3Fix the system case mounting plate on the other side with the red case
locking mechanism. (Fold the red locking mechanism up).
4Insert/engage the device into/in the holder provided for this purpose.
To remove the device: press the red button, remove the device.
