U BEFORE FIRST USE
•Check the slots are empty, set the browning
level to 6, and use the toaster without bread.
•It may smoke a bit, but it’s nothing to worry
about – ensure the room is well ventilated.
TTOASTING BREAD
,Treat the left and right pairs of slots as
independent 2-slot toasters – his and hers,
yours and mine – whatever works for you.
1 Sit the toaster upright on a level surface.
2 Put the plug into the wall socket.
3 Set the browning level (1 = light, 6 = dark).
4 Put bread into the slots (max 22mm thick).
5 Press the lever down fully. It won’t lock
down unless the toaster is connected to the
electricity supply.
6 The 5light glows, and the elements heat.
7 When the toast pops up, the light and
elements go off.
5 EJECT
8 To stop the toaster mid-cycle, press 5.
f FROZEN BREAD
9 Leave the browning level at your favoured
setting, insert the frozen bread, lower the
lever, then press the fbutton.
10 The flight glows, and the toasting time is
altered automatically to give the same level
of browning you get with unfrozen bread.
f BAGEL
11 Bagels are already half-toasted, so keep the
setting to 4 or below.
12 Split the bagel, and insert the halves with
the brown sides facing the outside elements.
13 Leave the browning level at your favoured
setting (1-4), lower the lever, then press the
bbutton. The blight will glow.
