SYMBOLS DESCRIPTION
The following symbols appear in this document and on the chassis:
ISO 7000-0434B
(2004-01)
Caution: The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to
alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance
(servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the product.
IEC 60417-6042
(2010-11)
Caution, risk of electric shock: The lightning flash with an arrowhead
symbol within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the
presence of uninsulated ‘dangerous voltage’ within the product’s enclosure
that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to
persons.
IEC 60417-5019
(2006-08)
Protective earth; protective ground: terminal is intended for connection to
an external conductor for protection against electric shock in case of a fault.
IEC 60417-5007
(2009-02)
"ON" (power): indicate connection to the mains.
IEC 60417-5008
(2009-02)
"OFF" (power): indicate disconnection from the mains.
IEC 60417-5032
(2002-10)
Alternating current: the equipment is suitable for alternating current only.
Altitude: Do not use at an altitude exceeding 2000m.
Tropical conditions: This product is not suitable for tropical conditions.
Documentation must be consulted in all cases where this symbol is marked.

CE MARKING
Markings are placed at the rear of the unit, regarding the power ratings and “CE” compliance:
The “CE” symbol on the PC chassis indicates that it is in compliance with the Electromagnetic Compatibility
directive and the low Voltage directive.
This equipment is a: Group 1 Class A product
The following technical standards must be met:
EN 55022
Limits and methods of measurement of radio interference characteristics of information
technology equipment
EN 61000-3-2
Limits for harmonic currents emissions’’
EN 61000-4-2
Limits and methods of measurement - Section 2: electrostatic discharge immunity test
EN 61000-4-3
Limits and methods of measurement –Section 3: Radiated radio-frequency,
electromagnetic field immunity test
EN 61000-4-4
Limits and methods of measurement - Section 4: Electrical fast transient / burst immunity
test
EN 61000-4-5
Limits and methods of measurement - Section 5: Surge immunity test
EN 61000-4-6
Limits and methods of measurement - Section 6: immunity to conducted disturbances,
induced by radio-frequency fields
EN 61000-4-8
Limits and methods of measurement - Section 8: Power frequency magnetic field immunity
test
EN 61000-4-11
Limits and methods of measurement - Section 11: Voltage dips, short interruptions as
voltage variations immunity tests
The unit also complies with all staff safety standards and decrees, in particular:
Decree of 14.11.1989 and additions: Regulation of worker protection,
Directive 2006/95/EC.
In accordance with European Community directives, a “Declaration of Conformity” has been made and is
available by contacting technical support.
Recommendation concerning the cabling:
“CE” certification has been carried out with 3-meter interconnecting cables with remote equipment.
SAFRAN DATA SYSTEMS recommends the use of high quality interconnecting cables type. The high quality
recommended user interconnecting cables are “shield twisted pair” or “coaxial cable” industrial type with cable
shield. The cable shield will provide the necessary mechanical protection.
Not using this high quality designed cable could result in unexpected intersystem/extrasystem electromagnetic
emission and susceptibility.
