Installation guideline
1. Do not install the smoke ventilator in the area with too
many doors or windows to avoid too much Air convection,
otherwise it may not have proper function to remove
smoke.
2. The smoke ventilator must install above the stove.(Fig.
3-2)
3. The machine must be installed horizontally, otherwise the
oil in the oil collector tray (or oil cup) will flow to one side
and overflow.
4. Arrange the distance between the exit of wind pipe and
machine as short as possible, to prevent from
accumulation of air in the pipe and reduce ventilation
effect.
5. The height between the surface of stove and machine
front edge should be 24”~ 32”. (Fig. 3-4)
6. The ventilation exit should not discharge the air toward
other exhaust discharge passage of natural gas or other
fuels.
7. Installed electricity:
(1) The power supply must use regulated Voltage.
(2) Connect earth wire at first and then put on power
supply while installing ventilator. When dismantling the
machine,remove power supply at first, and then
dismantle earth wire.
(3) Do not connect earth wire with water pipe, gas pipe
or phone wire etc. to avoid danger.

Installation description
1. Open carton and inspect whether manual, wind pipe
seat ….accessories are there .
2. Connect the power supply and switch on before installation
to check If every function is running normally (motor, lamp).
3. Remove middle frame during the installation of R-602.
Dismantle The screws of middle frame and remove the
middle frame.(Fig. 4-1).Secure with wooden screw upward
through the internal fixed holes of machine onto the
selected location. (Fig.4-2)
4. Please put the machine onto the installation location while
installing R-603.Secure the machine onto the kitchen
cabinet side plate with screws properly in the selected
position of both left and right side of hanging plate. (Fig.
4-4)
5. The machine must be suspended horizontally. (The reason
had been explained in item 3 of Installation guideline)
6. Put the Aluminum pipe to wind pipe seat, extend the
Aluminum pipe to expected length and fixed the wind pipe
seat with 4x12L screws (Attached in the machine) onto the
air exit of machine and another end fixed onto the
ventilation hole. (Fig.4-3)(Fig.4-5)
7. Once the installation is completed, please make sure the
wiring and earth wire connection is done.

Application method
1. Operation of the machine:
Punch the key on the front panel of machine based on the function needed.
◎ Description of keys:
“ON /OFF” Power supply. Press ON to start the machine.
“ I O II “ Start the fan motor and high low speed
“ “ key: Switch on /off the lamp
Attention
1. Make sure the power is disconnected before installation, wiring and maintenance.
2. Always keep the smoke ventilator clean.
3. In order to maintain proper function of the smoke ventilator, the space between
ventilator and gas stove must be between 24” ~ 32 “.
4. Make sure the discharge pipe is free of interruption to have suitable ventilation.
5. Read the sticker spec. information on the machine for better understanding.
6. Attention: Make sure the smoke is discharge outdoor to eliminate the fire hazard and
smooth ventilation. Never discharge smoke to narrow wall or to the ceiling partition, for
example , penthouse ,garage …
7. Attention: This machine applies for the ventilation of normal air. Do not use it to
discharge dangerous , explosive gases or vapor.
8. Warning: To eliminate the fire hazard, electric shock risk, never use other switch (solid
state relay)to replace the one installed at fan.
9. Warning: To eliminate the fire hazard, electric shock or endangering people , please
comply with following points:
(a) Use the smoke ventilator by the instruction of manufacture. In case of question,
contact manufacture immediately.
(b) Switch off power before maintaining or cleaning the smoke ventilator.
(c) Only competence technician is qualified to install and connect wiring by following
specification, including the instruction related to fire.
(d) The sufficient air supply is necessary to have complete burning of combustion
system and the discharge of exhaust via discharge pipe, and avoid the back flow of
exhaust air. Please follow the combustion system manual and safety specification,
such as NFPA, US Heating, ASHRAE. And local authorities regulations.

(e) Do not damage the electric wires and other hidden device while drilling holes in
walls or ceiling.
(f) The ventilation pipe must be connected to outdoor.
10.Warning: To eliminate fire hazard of smoke ventilator:
(a) Always clean the ventilation fan, never leave oil spots accumulated on the fan or
filtration wires.
(b) Switch on smoke ventilator during high temperature cooking.
(c) Never look away from the food cooking on the stove when the smoke ventilator is
running at high speed. The over cooked food generated smoke easily, or the hot oil
may jump out of pans which may cause fire on the running smoke ventilator. Slowly
heat up the temperature of boiling oil when the smoke ventilator is running at low
speed.
(d) Always watch if the smoke ventilator is running properly during cooking.
(e) Use proper cooking ware size.
11.Warning: To eliminate the fire hazard, electric shock or endangering people , please
comply with following points:
(a) Use tighten pan lid, blanket or tray to cover flame, then turn off the fire, Keep away
from been burned. If it is not possible to distinguish the fire, please leave the fire
place and call fire squad as soon as possible.
(b) Do not pick up on fire kitchenware – You may be burned.
(c) Do not try to distinguish fire with water, or wet table cloth or wet towel since it may
create violent steam.
(d) In case it is following condition, apply fire distinguisher to put out fire:
1. Make sure it belongs to ABC class, and you know how to operate it.
2. It is small fire, and burning inside original firing place.
3. Call fire squad already.
4. Make sure you are capable to put out fire and there is a safety exit to escape.
12.Warning: To minimize the fire hazard, please select metal discharge pipe.
Maintenance
In order to keep the best performance of the machine, and to prolong the life, you have to
pay attention to maintenance.
※ Disconnect the power during maintenance!
A. Always keep the machine surface clean:
After cooking, clean the surface and middle frame with dry cloth or mob with neutral
detergent. Always keep machine clean to have nice appearance and hygiene.
B. Cleaning accumulated dirty oil:
Dump away dirty oil once the oil collector tray (or oil cup) reached 80% level, to avoid
overflow.

Trouble shooting
1. Once there is abnormal condition during operation, switch off power and contact nearby
Sakura service station or agent for maintenance.
2. Always switch off power when dealing with abnormal condition.

A.
Dismantle filter wire; rotate the fan with hand to check if it is
stuck. If positive, change motor.
B. If the fan moves freely, then it is the problem of condenser.

If the wire is OK, then the problem is condenser. Change
condenser.
C.
The motor turns a while and stop once you punch the motor
key, and you can smell the burning odor. Then the motor is
malfunction, you have to replace motor.

Remove the filter wire, check if the sealing between wind pipe
and wind seat were installed properly.
B.
Check if there is oil leakage between wind pipe and wind seat;
if positive, try to seal with paint of glue.

If the motor is secured, that means the fan is damage crating
unbalancing vibration. Replace the fan.

C.
If the ventilator is installed on the window, it is better to add a
wooden board under the rear bottom of ventilator and align
with the rear part of ventilator to hide the space of window.
D. Install the machine according to Installation guideline.

In case of right/left slant, adjust with hanging steel to level the
height.
B. In case it is prone to front side, screw in the wo
oden bolt again
(suspended 0.5~10 cm outside of wall), or check if the screw
tightened to machine is loosed.

602 Loosen the screws on the lamp panel with cross screw
driver to remove the panel, then rotate the 40 W bulb o
ut,
replace with a new bulb.

603 Loosen the screws on the lamp panel with cross screw
driver to remove the panel, then rotate the 13 W PL bulb
out, replace with a new bulb.
