Your ES2500
Your ES1000 (2500 lb x 0.5 lb) has been designed to give you an quick and easy method
for recording an accurate weight of a live animal, with its specially designed animal aver-
aging software to enable you to determine an accurate weight of the animal even with it
moving around.
Your scale comes as standard with an in-built rechargeable battery and a back-lit display
to allow you to use it in low lit areas or areas where mains power may not be available.
Installing your ES2500
To get the best performance from your scale we recommend that you position the platform
on a reasonably flat surface.
Ensure the platform is level by adjusting the feet on the underside of the platform.
Fix the indicator to a wall or table close to where the operator will stand once the horse is
on the scale.
Connect the indicator cable to the platform and turn on scale.
Recharging Scale
To recharge this scale remove the indicator head from the indicator bracket and discon-
nect the platform lead.
Take the indicator head to a power socket, preferably indoors.
Attach the one end of the charger unit to the underside of the indicator head and plug
the other end of the charger unit to the power socket. (It will take around 8 hours to fully
change the battery.)
Scale Operation
Allow the scale to toggle
Between kg and lb
Will zero any weight
presently displayed on scale.
Long press will switch off Scale.
Activates Animal averaging function. Allows an animal to step on the scale,
once the weight reading gets within an allowable tolerance band the scale
will display the average weight of the animal.
This reading will remain on the scale after the animal has been removed.
By pressing the HOLD key for a second time, this will release the held
weight shown on the display and return the scale back to displaying the live
weight.
Allows the displayed weight to be sent to a computer or printer
Used to switch on scale.
Scale Operation
Switch on the scale by pressing the ON key
(The display will count down from 9 to 1 before displaying Zero)
With no weight on the scale press the ZERO key.
(Display will zero off any weight shown on the display)
Press the HOLD key
(Hold annunciator will flash )
The horse can now be brought from the stable and made to stand on the platform.
Once the horse is positioned correctly on the platform the scale will automatically
calculate the horse’s average weight, even if the animal is moving around,
Once calculated, the Hold annunciator will stop flashing and the horses weight will be
displayed on the Indicators display.
This reading will remain on the display until the Hold key is either repressed or the
scale is switched off.
The HOLD key can also be pressed when the horse is already on the platform; this
allows the operator to quickly resample the animals weight if the first reading was
thought to be incorrect.
To release the held weight
Press the HOLD key again to release hold function.
(The scale will return back to displaying the live weight.)
Turning off scale
The scale will automatically turn off after 10 minutes if not used,
But a long press on the OFF key can manually switch off the Scale
