Troubleshooting
Referto thefollowing chart if the airconditioneroperates abnormally. This maysave time and
unnecessaryexpense.
Problem Solution
The airconditioner
does not operate
at all.
࡛ Check if the powerplug is properlyconnected.
࡛ Checkwhetherthe auxiliarypowerswitch (MCCB, ELB) isturned on.
࡛ If the auxiliarypowerswitch (MCCB, ELB) is turned off, the air
conditionerdoes notwork althoughyou pressthe (Power) button.
࡛ Whenyou clean the airconditionerordo not use it foran extended
period of time,turn off the auxiliarypowerswitch (MCCB, ELB).
࡛ Afterthe airconditioneris not used foran extended period of time, be
sureto turn onthe auxiliary powerswitch (MCCB, ELB) 6 hours before
starting operation.
NOTE
࡛ The auxiliary powerswitch (MCCB, ELB) is sold separately.
࡛ Make sure that auxiliarypowerswitch (MCCB, ELB) is installed in
the distribution box insidethe building.
࡛ If the airconditioneris turned off bythe Timed off function, turn on the
airconditioneragain by pressing the (Power) button.
Thetemperature
does not change.
࡛ Checkwhetherthe Fan mode is running. In the Fan mode, the air
conditionercontrols the set temperature automatically, and you cannot
change the set temperature.
Warm airdoes not
come out of the air
conditioner.
࡛ Checkwhetherthe outdoorunit is designed forcooling only. In this case,
warm airdoes not come out althoughyou select the Heat mode.
࡛ Checkwhetherthe remote control is designed onlyforcooling only. Use
a remote control that supports both cooling and heating.
The fan speed does
not change.
࡛ Checkwhetherthe Auto orDrymode is running. Inthese modes, the
airconditionercontrolsthe fan speed automatically, and you cannot
change the fan speed.
Thewireless
remote control
does not operate.
࡛ Checkwhetherthe batteries are discharged. Replace the batterieswith
newones.
࡛ Make sure that nothing is blocking the remote control sensor.
࡛ Checkwhetheranystrong lighting sources are nearthe airconditioner.
Strong lightwhich comesfromfluorescent bulbs orneon signs may
interfere with the remote control.
Thewired remote
control does not
operate.
࡛ Checkwhetherthe indicatoris displayed at the bottom right of the
remote control display. In this case, turn off both the airconditionerand
the auxiliary powerswitch, andthen contact a service centre.
