1. CDMA USB Modem Installation
1.1 Setup
Insert installation CD (supplied with SAMWOO Enterprise Voice/Data Modem) into the CD-
ROM drive. This will automatically start the installation and install the required drivers plus
SAMWOO Enterprise Voice/Data Modem Application software. Do not connect SAMWOO
Enterprise Communication Voice/Data Modem into your laptop/PC yet.
The installation procedures are the same for Windows 2000 and Windows XP, VISTA.
Start setup
If the auto run does not start after inserting the CD, please double-click on
“SKYDATA.exe” file on CD-ROM to start the installation. If you have already inserted your
Modem into your PC, remove the Modem and double-click “SKD_Setup.exe”
Setting Language, Click <OK> Button.

The Install SKYDATA Setup Wizard screen will be appeared, Click ‘Next’ button to start installation

Click ‘Install’

Click “Finish” button when the Installation Completed and remove the installation CD.
1.2 Please Insert Modem
On Windows 2000
As inserting Modem on Windows 2000, there will not be any window and users can run
applications after the device is detected.
On Windows XP
As inserting Modem on Windows XP, you can see "Find New Hardware" Dialog.
On Windows VISTA
As inserting Modem on Windows VISTA, you can see "Find New Hardware" Dialog.

Click <Next> Button

Click ‘Finish’ button when the wizard has finished installing the software for SAMWOO
Enterprise USB Compositive Device.
Click ‘Next’ button

2. Using the CDMA USB Modem Application Software
This installation will be placed on your desktop for the SAMWOO Enterprise Voice/Data
Modem Application software and the SKYDATA Icon as below will appear on your
computer.
Note: If the modem is connected to the Laptop/PC via serial port, the user will
have to select the serial port initially when the User Interface software starts up.
To open USB program, double click the icon & you will see the first screen on Main
window.

To connect to the internet, click this icon.
To use send or receive SMS Message.
To finish SKYDATA.
Display signal sensitivity Antenna Bar.
Display Incoming Voice Message.
Display no read Voice Message.
Set environment of the USB Modem.

2.1 Internet (Data Connection)
Click <Internet> Icon, then Click <Start> Button

If Internet connection OK, It appears<successful connection> message. You want stop,
Click <Stop> Button
2.2 SMS
Click <SMS> Icon, It appears <New Message> screen.

(1) SMS Transmission
Do write message, then input <Receiver Mobile Number>, then Click <Send> Button.

(2) SMS Inbox: It can check <New Message>
Delete, Delete All: Delete the Received Messages. Show: Read the Received Messages.
(3) SMS Out Box:
