MODEL SN-100
1. Initial Setup
1-1. POWER
Using 30A of DC24V. SP-1250ADC is suitable for power supply according to IMO regulation.

SN-100 doesn’t work individually. Must be interfaced with SRG-1150DN/1250DN, SEG-
2150DN/2250DN and SRG-3150DN.
1-2. TRANSMISSION
It must be used over 50Ω for load and 300W for resistance in SSB terminal during testing.
2. How to Input MMSI NO
2-1. Set ID
If you press at the same time, you can hear the sound.
Whenever you try to input or adjust, you must press in main MENU after sounding
as above. Select in main MENU.
6. Setting For System
Press No 0 -> -> Input MMSI (5 no of words)
Press No 1 -> -> Input MMSI (9 no of words)
Using to Return.
3. CIRCUIT EXPLAIN
3-1 OVERVIEW
SN-100 consists of main receiver of NBDP, CONNECTION BOARD, CPU BOARD, PLL
BOARD, POWER SUPPLY.

The bottom of back side for this terminal is consists of Input Power, connector of SRG-
1150DN/SRG-1250DN, W/K Whip antenna for receiving, coaxial connector, EARTH socket,
Keyboard connector and EMC LIGHT connector.
3-2 CONNECTION BOARD T-020 (OLD) / G-1151 (NEW)
T-020 / G-1151 is the PCB which is connecting CPU BOARD and other PCBs when receiving
signal by NBDP.
When receiving signal are generated through receiving unit (T-022 / T-132) and then it deliver to
SRG-1150DN / SRG-1250DN.
3-3 NBDP Receiving Unit T-022(OLD) / T-132(NEW)
As main receiving unit of NBDP, it consists of frequency filter and amplifier, MIXER, ATT,
AGC, B.K control unit.
After the signals received through MF/HF Antenna amplify with wide amplifier, it is divided into
two parts through SPLITTER (SP1).
①The inside of NBDP Receiving unit

The signal that comes into filter selects the filter assigned each frequency as U4 and U6. And 1’st
LOCAL through IC2, 2’nd LOCAL through IC1, and BFO signal through U1 should be mixed.
And then, MARK(1.7KHz+80Hz) and SPACE(1.7KHz+80Hz) signals are generated.
②One side is delivered to SRG-3150DN through attenuator and matching tool.
3-4 PLL BOARD T-023(OLD) / T-133(NEW)
As T-023 is SYNTHERSIZER PLL PCB, PLL IC and VCO (POS-100) make up PLL. And, it is
outputted to 1st LOCAL input-signal and, as 7 MHZ that is generated from output of PLL
IC(IC15) generates 49MHZ in 7 multiply circuit, it is used as 2nd LOCAL. BFO signal is that
DM1 received 7MHZ generated 456.7kHz. Besides, as it transmits and receives with CPU
BOARD it generates the signal that controls NBDP receiver.

3-5 POWER CIRCUIT T-025
Power circuit consists of constant voltage circuit which deliver constant DC power to every part.
And while power on, it makes ON main power DC 24V, convert constant voltage +12V, +8V,
+5V. If it is overpowered +32V,then power off.
Prevention to receiving voltage circuit is built-in.

3-6 REAR SID
①EMC : Supply power +24 to EMC ligh.
② RX ANT IN : Impedance 50Ω MF/HF RX ANT input jack.
③ ANT OUT : Connect which send W/K signal received from ‘RX-ANT IN’ to SRG-
1150DN/SRG-3150DN.
④KEY-BOARD : As connector which is connecting Keyboard to SN-100, it supplies +5V,
DATA, CLK etc.
⑤GND : Receiver system ground.
⑥FUSE : 5A FUSE(PRINTER +24V FUSE)
⑦PRINTER : Connect to printer.

⑧PRINTER POWR : Connector which supplies +24V, +8V, GND to printer.
⑨FUSE : 3A FUSE(POWR FUSE)
⑩CONNECTOR TO MAIN UNIT : Connect to SRG-1150DN/SRG-1250DN and TX/RX for
PTT IN, PTT OUT, READY, AF+, AF-.
4. TROUBLESHOOTING
As SN-100 is NBDP terminal, error can be happened on transceiver, power supply , CPU
BOARD, LCD. When error happens, check as follow,
4-1 POWER SUPPLY
①Power supply is not working.
- Power voltage is +24V in only the case that power supply is connected to SRG-1150DN/SRG-
1250DN. And if there is error, check the power supply switch, the connector cable to SRG-
3150DN, fuse (5A), power polarity.
②No power on the screen.
- Firstly, check the +12V on U8 of T-025, +5V on DC-DC CONVERTER and then, check power
supply cable that is connected power supply board and screen. If +12V is not supplied, LCD &
CPU BOARD is not operated. If +5V is not supplied, CPU BOARD is not operated.
2. SCREEN DISPLAY
①. Screen display is not able to turn on.
- Check that power is correctly supplied to LCD.
②. Screen is waved or there is white line on the screen.

- In this case, the condition of connect point of LCD connector or of LCD board must be
defected. The same board & connector should be cleaned with detergent material that is volatile.
3. NBDP DATA RECEIVING
①. Data is not received.
- Firstly, check that ANT is correctly connected.
- Check that +12V is generated on U1 of T-025.
- Check that SRG-1150DN/SRG-1250DN receive W/K S signal.
If not, check the third pin (IC4 of T-022) is approximately 3.2V (+3.2V is normal). And, check
1ST, 2ND, BFO are supplied.
- Check that 1.7KHz±85Hz on CN8 of T-022 is generated.
- Check that DOT/PATTERN signal on 13th of U9 of T-020 is generated.
- Check that DOT/PATTERN signal on 18th of IC3 of T-020 is generated.
4. NBDP DATA TRANSMITTING
①. Data is not transmitted.
- Check the connector that is correctly connected between SRG-1150DN/SRG-1250DN and
terminal.
- Check that 1.7KHz±85Hz on the 11th of DM1 of T-020 PCB.
- Check that the signal is supplied to SRG-1150DN/SRG-1250DN.
4-2 MODULATION OF SIMPLE MODULATOR
This equipment is designed to minimize adjust parts and all modulator (except the modulator for
power supply) is to be required to manufacturer because it needs an accurate measuring
instrument and skilled technology.
4-3 CAUTION
1. In case of checking transmitter unit, contact dummy load.
2. In case of separating PCB (Electronic Board), pay attention to static electronic.
3. In case of modulating, use tools for mdulation.
4. In case of checking or modulating, when measuring instrument contact in each circuit, user
should match signal of the circuit and PROBE of measuring.

5. In case of checking or modulating, pay attention to the difference when measuring instrument
is connected into each circuit or not.
6. All maintenance had better be carried out in our agent or SAMYUNG ENC.,LTD.
