INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Pop the car parts out from a sheet of die-cut wood. Sand rough
edges if necessary. Paint and let dry.
2. Glue wooden car parts together and let dry. See Figure A.
3. Insert wooden dowels in the back, middle and front openings.
Attach wheels to front and rear dowels (axles) as shown in Figure
A. Wheels t tightly onto the dowels. Insert wheel into dowel
carefully so as not to break the rod. Adult assistance may be
necessary.
4. Cut the long white rubber band and double knot one end tightly
onto the rear dowel (axle) and the other end of the rubber band
onto the middle dowel. The rubber band goes below the wood
rectangle in the center of the car.
5. Wrap the outside of the rear wheels with the small brown rubber
bands. This will provide traction (see Figure B).
6. Carefully turn the back wheels 10 times counter-clockwise, so
that the rubber band winds counter-clockwise around the rear
wheel dowel. Hold the back wheels rmly, place the car on the
oor and release. The car should travel 5 to 6 feet.
