2. Wiring mode: The detector is connected into a compatib e fire a arm contro er via a two-wire bus
system through non-po arity connection mode and the L1 and L2 of the two-wire bus system are
connected with the termina s 1 and 3 of the matched base. The schematic diagram for connection of
mu tip e detectors and a contro er is shown in Fig. 3.

3. Address encoding: As shown in Fig. 4, connect the detector through a detector base on the encoder
with L1 and L2 connected in non-po arity mode; set the encoder to encoding function, compi e a correct
address code, and press the “Run” key to comp ete the address encoding setup.
(Note: For the detai ed operations, p ease refer to the encoder operation manua .)

VI. Product installation and adjustment
According to re evant provisions and requirements in the China nationa standards GB 50116-2013
Code for design of automatic fire a arm systems and GB 50166-2007 Code for insta ation and
acceptance of automatic fire a arm systems, ensure proper insta ation positions, spacing and quantity of
detectors in the protected area.
Each detector sha be insta ed using a matched base. The matched base is shown in Fig. 5, its mode
number is DZ-910, its outside dimensions are Ф100 mm × 22 mm (diameter × thickness), its fixing ho e
diameter is Ф4.5 mm and its fixing ho e spacing is 44-65 mm.
Fig. 5
Wiring requirements:
Signa wires L1 and L2 shou d use RVS-type doub e twisted wire, with a cross-section area ≥ 1.0 mm2.
The specific installation and adjustment methods are as follows:
1. Confirm that the detector type matches with the contro er main unit type;
2. Fix a matched base to the specified position through fixing ho es C and D shown in Fig. 5 using two
M4 screws according to the construction drawing and confirm that the base has been secure y
insta ed;
3. Encode a detector using the encoder according to the detector address number marked in the
construction drawing;
4. Cut off the power supp y for the contro er and connect the detector correct y according to the
construction drawing;
5. A ign the indicator amp of the detector (p ace A shown in Fig. 1) with the insta ation mark on the
base (p ace B shown in Fig. 5) and then insert the detector into the base and rotate the detector
c ockwise unti the detector is ocked in position;
6. After a products are insta ed and they are confirmed to be proper y fitted, turn on the power supp y
for the contro er to carry out automatic ogin operation;
7. After norma automatic ogin, the red indicator amp of each detector f ashes once every 12 seconds,
indicating that the detector has started operating norma y;
8. Fina y, conduct a detector a arm test using the method of direct y b owing by the hot air cy inder and
the direct smoke b owing method respective y. After the detector gives an a arm, the indicator amp
wi remain on and the contro er wi give a corresponding a arm prompt message. (Note: After the
test of one kind of alarm is successful only should the controller be reset is it possible to
conduct a test of another kind of alarm.) Therefore, once the test is comp ete, the contro er must
be recovered to ensure that the detector returns to the monitoring state.
VII. Points for attention
1. In the same bus oop, a detector cannot use an address the same as that of another device to avoid
a conf ict of address.
2. Before use after the onsite insta ation is over, do not remove the protecting cover attached to a
detector too ear y to prevent the detector from becoming contaminated.
4
3. The detector protected area and the quantity of insta ed detectors sha meet re evant provisions in
the China nationa standards GB 50116-2013 Code for design of automatic fire a arm systems and GB
50166-2007 Code for insta ation and acceptance of automatic fire a arm systems.
VIII. Maintenance and care
Warning: Before maintenance of detectors the relevant management department shall be
notified that the system will be maintained thus the monitoring will be stopped temporarily. In
addition the logic control function for the area or system to be maintained shall be cut off to
avoid unnecessary alarm interlocking. Once the test is complete the relevant management
department shall be notified to recover the normal state of the system.
1. According to the requirements in the China nationa standard GB 50166-2007 Code for insta ation
and acceptance of automatic fire a arm systems, the detectors sha be tested at east once every
six months; it is recommended that a detectors which have been insta ed and are under use
shou d be c eaned and maintained once every two years.
2. Operating environment has a huge inf uence on the performance of a detector; for a detector
insta ed and used in an environment where there is ike y to be dust and high wind speeds, etc.,
which affect norma operation, its maintenance and care period sha be shortened.
3. If a detector norma y used according to the specified requirements fai s due to a defect of materia s
or manufacturing technique within one year from the day when the product eaves the factory,
Shenzhen Fanhai Sanjiang E ectronics Co., Ltd. wi be responsib e for free repair or rep acement.
Any fai ure caused by artificia damage, improper use or unauthorized adjustment, a teration or
dismant ing is not covered by the warranty scope, and our company wi assume no responsibi ity for
a consequences caused by it.
4. Our company is responsib e for paid repair of products not covered by the warranty scope; if you
need a repair service, p ease contact us. Moreover, we wi need to obtain some important
information about the product you need to be repaired, e.g., product fai ure status and possib e
causes, so that we can find the prob em in the shortest time. We a so hope that a reference wi be
provided to us for our future product deve opment and improvement.
