The manufacturer and distribution company SANUSLIFE INTERNATIONAL GmbH will not be held

It is recommended to have the ECAIA ionizer S installed by a competent installer according to the
instructions given in the complete instruction manual. After completing the installation, read the
complete instruction manual carefully in order to make all settings correctly.
Service to the appliance’s electrical components must be performed in accordance with the regu-
lations of your local electric utility company. Before operating the appliance, check that no water
is leaking, that it is working properly and that the water flow is adjusted correctly.
Please do not tilt the appliance. This may cause the electronic components inside the appliance
to become wet or damaged.
Please note that the ECAIA ionizer S is an appliance for the treatment of cold drinking water.
Depending on the quality of your tap water, the performance of the appliance may vary.

3.1 Using the quick-release fastener

Installation (water inlet connection and adjustment of the appliance)
1. Install the diverter valve with aerator
(A-9) on the water tap.
2. Connect the tap water supply hose
(A-6) to the diverter valve with aerator
(A-9) and the water inlet (B-11).
3. The water pressure can be adjusted
with the water flow rate regulator (B-3).
Note: The ECAIA ionizer S is only suitable
for cold drinking water!

3.2 Temporary connection to the water tap
1. The tap water supply hose (A-6) must
be inserted at least 1 cm into the
quick-release opening.
2. Attach the safety clip (A-11).
3. To disconnect the hose from the
quick-release fastener, the tap water
supply hose (A-6) must not be un-
der pressure. Remove the safety clip
(A-11), push the safety ring all the way
back and then pull the tap water sup-
ply hose (A-6) out of the quick-release
opening.

• Screw the alkaline outlet hose (A-2) to
the upper water outlet (B-5).
• Connect the plastic hose for acidic
water 7/9mm (A-4) to the lower water
outlet (B-12) and the acidic water tap
(A-3).
• The appliance requires a 230V (US model 120V) power supply.
• The appliance switches on automatically when the water supply is opened.
• Pressure adjustment: Adjust the water pressure so that the bars are in the „normal“
range.
Note: The ECAIA ionizer S is only suitable for cold drinking water!
For language settings, refer to the complete instruction manual.
You can check the ionization performance by measuring the pH value. To do this, use the
indicator liquid supplied together with the pH scale (A-8).
For 5 to 10 milliliters of test water you need 1-2 drops of indicator liquid.
Ideally, the water should turn purple (pH 9 to 9.5) in the range of alkaline levels 3 or 4. If
this is not the case, you will find further setting options in the complete instruction manual.

The appliance switches on automatically as soon as water flows into it.
Usually, alkaline ionized water flows out of the upper flexible discharge hose (A-2).
Please refer to the complete instruction manual for further important details.
• Alkaline ionized water (ALKALINE 1-5) is recommended for drinking and cooking. The higher
the level, the more ionized the water is. For long-term consumption, water with pH 8.5 to 9.5 is
usually recommended.
• If acidic ionized water (ACID 1-2) is selected, acidic water flows out of the upper flexible di-
scharge hose (A-2). Alkaline water flows out of the lower acidic water tap (A-3).
• Only filtered water (PURIFY button) is suitable for taking medications.
The filters have a maximum use time of 6 months. If the maximum filter capacity is reached ear-
lier, the number „999“ appears on the display for the respective filter. This means „Change filter!“
Always write the expiry date on the filters before you insert them. In any case, the filters must be
changed, at the latest, 6 months after installation or first contact with water. This also applies if the
maximum filter capacity has not been reached!
Remove the filters by turning and pulling them upwards. Use a clean cloth to soak up any overflo-
wing water.
Important: Do not tilt the appliance to remove overflowing water from the filter holder. This could
damage the electronic components inside the appliance!
The appliance must be descaled regularly. Damage due to improper descaling is not covered by
the warranty. For information on how to descale your appliance and other important information
on this subject, please refer to the complete instruction manual.

Dies ist eine verkürzte Bedienungsanleitung (Kurzversion). Bitte laden Sie die vollständige Bedie-

merksam durch. Drucken Sie sie aus. Bewahren Sie sie in der Nähe des Gerätes auf, damit Sie sie bei
Bedarf schnell zur Hand haben und bei Fragen oder Fehlermeldungen gleich nachschlagen können.

wandfrei funktioniert und dass der Wasserfluss optimal eingestellt ist.
Bitte das Gerät nicht kippen. Elektronische Bauteile könnten dadurch nass oder beschädigt werden.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass der ECAIA ionizer S ein Gerät zur Aufbereitung von kaltem Trinkwasser ist.

3.1 Funktionsweise Schnellverschluss
3 Montage (Anschluss Wasserzulauf und Einstellung des Gerätes)
1. Montieren Sie den Umschaltperlator
(A-9) am Wasserhahn.
2. Verbinden Sie den Trinkwasser-Zu-
laufschlauch (A-6) mit dem Umschalt-
perlator (A-9) und dem Wasserzulauf
(B-11).
3. Der Wasserdruck kann mit dem Was-
serdurchflussregler (B-3) eingestellt
werden.
Hinweis: Der ECAIA ionizer S ist nur für
kaltes Trinkwasser geeignet!

3.2 Provisorischer Anschluss am Wasserhahn
1. Der Trinkwasser-Zulaufschlauch
(A-6) muss mindestens 1cm tief in die
Schnellverschluss-Öffnung eingeführt
werden.
2. Fixieren Sie den Sicherheitsstift (A-11).
3. Zum Lösen des Schlauches aus dem
Schnellverschluss darf der Trinkwas-
ser-Zulaufschlauch (A-6) nicht mehr
unter Druck stehen. Entfernen Sie den
Sicherheitsstift (A-11), schieben Sie
den Sicherungsring ganz nach hinten
und ziehen Sie anschließend nur den
Trinkwasser-Zulaufschlauch (A-6) aus
der Schnellverschluss-Öffnung.

1. Montieren Sie das T-Stück (A-10) am
Eckventil der Kaltwasserleitung.
2. Führen Sie den Trinkwasser-Zulauf-
schlauch (A-6) durch eine Öffnung
in der Arbeitsplatte oder der Spüle
(Durchmesser mindestens 6mm) nach
oben, wo der ECAIA ionizer S positio-
niert wird.
3. Verbinden Sie den Trinkwasser-Zulauf-
schlauch (A-6) mit dem T-Stück (A-10)
und dem Wasserzulauf (B-11).
4. Der Wasserdruck kann mit der Stell-
schraube am T-Stück (A-10) eingestellt
werden.
1. Montieren Sie das T-Stück (A-10) am
Eckventil der Kaltwasserleitung.
2. Verbinden Sie den Trinkwasser-Zulauf-
schlauch (A-6) mit dem T-Stück (A-10)
und dem Wasserzulauf (B-11).
3. Der Wasserdruck kann mit der Stell-
schraube am T-Stück (A-10) eingestellt
werden.

auslauf (B-5).
• Verbinden Sie den Kunststoffschlauch
für saures Wasser 7/9mm (A-4) mit
dem unteren Wasserauslauf (B-12)
und dem sauren Wasserhahn (A-3).
• Das Gerät benötigt 230V (US-Modell 120V).
• Öffnen Sie die Wasserzufuhr, das Gerät schaltet sich automatisch ein.
• Druckeinstellung: Stellen Sie den Wasserdruck so ein, dass die Balken im „Normal“-
Bereich liegen.
Hinweis: Der ECAIA ionizer S ist nur für kaltes Trinkwasser geeignet!
Die Einstellungen der Spracheinstellung finden Sie in der vollständigen Gebrauchsanweisung.
Die Ionisierungsleistung können Sie mittels pH-Wert-Messung kontrollieren. Nutzen Sie
hierfür die im Lieferumfang enthaltene Indikatorflüssigkeit zusammen mit der pH-Skala
(A-8). Für 5 bis 10 Milliliter Testwasser benötigen Sie 1-2 Tropfen Indikatorflüssigkeit.
Idealerweise sollte sich das Wasser im Bereich der basischen Stufen 3 oder 4 violett ver-
färben (pH 9 bis 9,5). Ist dies nicht der Fall, finden Sie weitere Einstellungsmöglichkeiten
in der vollständigen Bedienungsanleitung.

Das Gerät schaltet von selbst ein, sobald Wasser hineinfließt.
In der Regel kommt am oberen flexiblen Ausflussschlauch (A-2) basisches ionisiertes Wasser her-
aus. Entnehmen Sie weitere wichtige Details aus der vollständigen Bedienungsanleitung.
• Basisches ionisiertes Wasser (ALKALINE 1-5) wird zum Trinken und Kochen empfohlen. Je hö-
her die Stufe, desto stärker wird das Wasser ionisiert. Für den langfristigen Konsum wird in der
Regel ein Wasser mit pH 8,5 bis 9,5 empfohlen.
• Wird saures ionisiertes Wasser (ACID 1-2) ausgewählt, fließt am oberen flexiblen Ausfluss-
schlauch (A-2) saures Wasser heraus. Am unteren sauren Wasserhahn (A-3) hingegen fließt
basisches Wasser heraus.
• Nur gefiltertes Wasser (PURIFY) eignet sich zur Einnahme von Medikamenten.
Die Filter haben eine maximale Haltedauer von 6 Monaten. Wird die maximale Filterkapazität frü-
her erreicht, erscheint beim jeweiligen Filter auf dem Display die Zahl „999“. Das bedeutet „Filter
wechseln!“. Schreiben Sie stets das Ablaufdatum auf die Filter, bevor Sie sie einsetzen. Die Filter
müssen in jedem Fall spätestens 6 Monate nach der Installation bzw. der ersten Berührung mit
Wasser gewechselt werden. Dies gilt auch, wenn die maximale Filterkapazität nicht erreicht wurde!
Entfernen Sie die Filter, indem Sie sie drehen und nach oben ziehen. Überlaufendes Wasser sau-
gen Sie mit einem sauberen Tuch auf.
Wichtig: Nicht das Gerät kippen, um überlaufendes Wasser aus dem Filterhalter herauszubekom-
men. Dadurch könnten elektronische Bauteile im Inneren des Gerätes beschädigt werden!
Das Gerät muss regelmäßig entkalkt werden. Schäden aufgrund unsachgemäßer Entkalkung wer-
den nicht von der Garantie abgedeckt. Wie das Gerät entkalkt wird, sowie weitere wichtige Infor-
mationen zu diesem Thema, finden Sie in der vollständigen Bedienungsanleitung.

1 Contenuto della fornitura dell’ECAIA ionizer S
Il presente manuale è una versione ridotta delle istruzioni per l’uso dei nostri ionizzatori (versione
breve). Si prega di scaricare il manuale completo in formato PDF dal sito web www.sanuslife.com
(SANUSSTORE > ECAIA ionizer S > Documenti): si raccomanda di leggerle attentamente, di stam-
parle e di tenerle vicino al dispositivo in modo da averle a portata di mano all’occorrenza e da po-
terle consultare in caso di domande o messaggi di errore.
Il produttore del dispositivo e il distributore SANUSLIFE INTERNATIONAL GmbH non possono essere
ritenuti responsabili per malfunzionamenti o incidenti causati da un‘installazione errata, nonché da
un utilizzo e/o da una manutenzione impropri.
Si raccomanda di far installare l‘ECAIA ionizer S da personale qualificato nel rispetto delle istruzioni
contenute nel manuale completo. Una volta conclusa l‘installazione, leggere attentamente il manua-
le completo per poter effettuare correttamente tutte le impostazioni.
Gli interventi sulle componenti elettriche del dispositivo devono essere eseguiti in conformità alle
disposizioni dell‘azienda elettrica. Prima di mettere in funzione il dispositivo, verificare che non vi
siano perdite d‘acqua, che esso funzioni correttamente e che la portata dell’acqua sia stata regolata
in modo ottimale. Il dispositivo non deve essere inclinato, in quanto le componenti elettriche po-
tebbero in tal modo venire bagnate o danneggiate.
Si prega infine di ricordare che l’ECAIA ionizer S è un dispositivo per il trattamento dell‘acqua pota-
bile fredda. Le sue prestazioni possono variare in base alla qualità dell‘acqua potabile utilizzata.

3.1 Funzionamento del giunto rapido
3 Montaggio (collegamento all’alimentazione dell'acqua e imposta-
zioni del dispositivo)
1. Montare la valvola di commutazione
(A-9) sul rubinetto dell‘acqua.
2. Collegare il tubo di alimentazione
dell‘acqua (A-6) alla valvola di com-
mutazione (A-9) e all‘ingresso dell‘ac-
qua (B-11). La pressione dell‘acqua
può essere regolata con il regolatore
di portata (B-3).
Attenzione: l‘ECAIA ionizer S deve essere
utilizzato solo con acqua fredda!

3.2 Collegamento temporaneo al rubinetto dell'acqua
1. Il tubo di alimentazione dell‘acqua
potabile (A-6) deve essere inserito per
almeno 1 cm nell‘apertura del giunto
rapido.
2. Fissare il clip di sicurezza (A-11).
3. Per scollegare il tubo di alimentazione
dell‘acqua (A-6) dal giunto rapido, as-
sicurarsi che il tubo non sia più sotto
pressione. Rimuovere il clip di sicu-
rezza (A-11) e spingere bene indietro
l‘anello di sicurezza, quindi estrarre
solo il tubo di alimentazione dell‘ac-
qua (A-6) dall‘apertura del giunto
rapido.

3.3 Collegamento permanente alla valvola ad angolo (dispositivo posizio
nato sopra il piano di lavoro)
3.4 Collegamento fisso alla valvola ad angolo (ECAIA ionizer S+; dispo-
sitivo posizionato sotto il piano di lavoro e utilizzando il rubinetto
supplementare dell‘ECAIA ionizer S faucet)
1. Montare il raccordo a T (A-10) sulla
valvola ad angolo della conduttura
dell‘acqua fredda.
2. Attraverso un‘apertura (diametro al-
meno 6 mm) praticata nel piano di
lavoro o nel lavandino, portare il tubo
di alimentazione dell‘acqua (A-6) fino
alla parte superiore dove verrà posi-
zionato l‘ECAIA ionizer S.
3. Collegare il tubo di alimentazione
dell‘acqua (A-6) al raccordo a T (A-10)
e all’ingresso dell‘acqua (B-11).
4. La pressione dell‘acqua può essere re-
golata agendo sulla vite presente sul
raccordo a T (A-10).
1. Montare il raccordo a T (A-10) sulla
valvola ad angolo della conduttura
dell’acqua fredda.
2. Collegare il tubo di alimentazione
dell’acqua (A-6) al raccordo a T (A-10)
e all’ingresso dell’acqua (B-11).
3. La pressione dell’acqua può essere re-
golata agendo sulla vite presente sul
raccordo a T (A-10).

3.5 Montaggio del tubo di uscita dell‘acqua alcalina e del rubinetto
dell'acqua acida

• Avvitare il tubo per l’uscita dell’acqua
alcalina (A-2) all’uscita superiore (B-5).
• Fissare il tubo in plastica per l’acqua
acida 7/9mm (A-4) all’uscita inferiore
(B-12) e al rubinetto dell’acqua acida
(A-3).
• Il dispositivo richiede una tensione di 230V (o 120V per il modello USA).
• Aprendo l‘alimentazione dell‘acqua, il dispositivo si accende automaticamente.
• Regolazione della pressione: regolare la pressione dell‘acqua in modo che le barret-
te sul display si trovino nell’area “Normale“.
Attenzione: Lo ECAIA ionizer S può essere usato solo con acqua fredda!
Per la procedura di impostazione della lingua, consultare le istruzioni complete.
È possibile controllare la potenza di ionizzazione misurando il valore pH con il liquido
indicatore, fornito insieme alla scala del pH (A-8).
Per 5-10 millilitri di acqua di prova sono necessarie 1-2 gocce del liquido indicatore.
Idealmente, in corrispondenza dei livelli alcalini 3 o 4 l‘acqua dovrebbe diventare viola
(pH da 9 a 9,5). In caso contrario, ulteriori possibilità di impostazione sono riportate nel
manuale completo.
