Savant SUR-0500 User manual

The Savant™ Universal Remote (SUR-0500), with charging base, is a Wi-Fi® - enabled,
hand-held remote with popular push buttons to control everything from climate and
lighting to distributed audio and whole-house or facility automation.

Initial Setup
1. Press & Hold the power button for 6 seconds until a splash screen appears.
2. Once the splash animation stops, press the button to the left or right of the
network name to select it.
3. If the network is protected, enter the network password, and press the button
under Next.
4. After the remote connects to the network, press the button to the left or right of
the Savant® host to connect to.
5. Press the button to the left or right of the room to control.
IMPORTANT! Before using the SUR-0500 for the first time, update the firmware to the
latest version. Perform the steps outlined in Updating Firmware immediately after
Initial Setup.
Updating Firmware
1. Press the Back button until the root screen appears.
2. Press the button to the left or right of Settings on the screen.
3. Press the button to the left or right of Updates on the screen.
4. Press Update to download and install the update.
IMPORTANT! The remote will reboot after the update is installed, and will be inactive for
several minutes before the start screen animation appears.
There are 3 updates that may be available, repeat steps 1 to 4 until until the dialog screen
No updates have been found at this time. Then press back to exit.

reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a
residential environment. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency
energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause
harmful interference to radio communications, However there is no guarantee that
interference will not occur in a particular installation, If this equipment does cause harmful
interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the
equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try correct the interference by one or
more of the following measures: 1.1. Reorient or relocate the receiving circuit different
from that to which receiver is connected. 1.4. Consult the dealer or experienced radio/TV

responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.

batteries according to the instructions.
