Installation
• The installation and troubleshooting steps are to be carried out by a qualified electrician only throughout this
manual.
• Unpack the dryer and follow the instructions to mount the dryer on the wall.
• Securely fix the mounting bracket to the wall at the desired location. Hand dryer should be mounted
vertically on solid substrate walls.
• Isolate the mains before commencing installation.
• An isolation switch is required external to the dryer.
• Correctly wire the power cable to the electrical connector via the rear entry through the access grommet, in
accordance with the current edition of the IEE wiring regulations (BS7671: Requirements for Electrical
Installations).
• Replace all electrical connector covers and insulation. Our dryers use first fix principles to minimize
installation times.
• When required, align the main unit over the mounting bracket ensuring the top two hooks are secure.
• Align with the corresponding openings in the rear. The main unit should be held flush with the wall.
• Lower the unit slowly down to engage with the hooks and with the electrical connector until the lower face is
flush with the bottom edge of the bracket.
• Fix the unit to the bracket with the two anti-tamper screws.
• Reconnect the power.
• The Smart Sensors require 15 seconds to calibrate after connecting to the power supply. Do NOT activate
the dryer for 15 seconds after connecting to the power supply to allow the dryer to auto-calibrate. If
activation occurs before full calibration, remove the dryer from the back-plate and wait for 10 seconds
before re-setting the dryer back onto the back plate. Test the dryer after calibration. The activation sensor
range should be approximately 150mm for correct installation. If the sensor range is less than 100 mm
remove the dryer, wait for 10 seconds and replace as above.

Servicing of the Air Channel
We recommend the Air channel chamber is cleaned regularly in high usage areas.
• If the airflow pressure is not flowing freely the air intake or outlet may be blocked. Firstly, inspect the dryer
nozzle area and remove any debris that may be blocking the air intake.
• Remove the two anti-tamper screws at the base of the dryer (Qualified electrician only).
• Using both hands, lift the dryer up vertically until it is clear of the mounting hooks and the electrical socket.
N.B. The dryer weighs 6.3 kgs.
• Using both hands, remove the four anti-tamper screws and lift the front casing off the dryer. Place the dryer
flat on a work surface with the back plate resting on the worktop. Remove the screws from the air channel
cover chamber and clean out this area and any debris.
• Replace the air chamber cover and fix all screws, then replace the front casing to its normal position and fix
all four anti-tamper screws.
• To return the dryer to the mounting bracket, align the main unit over the hooks.
• Lower the unit slowly down to engage with the hooks and with the electrical connector until the lower face is
flush with the bottom edge of the bracket.
• Fix the unit to the bracket with the two anti-tamper screws.
If the Dryer must be removed from the wall
• Remove the two anti-tamper screws at the base of the dryer.
• Using both hands, lift the dryer up vertically until it is clear of the mounting hooks and the electrical socket.
N.B. The dryer weighs 6.3 kgs.
• To return the dryer to the mounting bracket, align the main unit over the mounting hooks.
• Lower the unit slowly down to engage with the hooks and with the electrical connector until the lower face is
flush with the bottom edge of the bracket.
• Fix the unit to the bracket with the two anti-tamper screws.
Troubleshooting the motor and HD video screen
If the dryer is not switching on or is operating intermittently.
• Check the power supply is connected (qualified electrician only).
• Check that none of the four sensors at the base of the dryer are obstructed.
• If any are obstructed remove the obstruction.
• The Smart Sensors require 15 seconds to calibrate after immediately connecting to the power supply. Do
NOT waive hands to activate the dryer for 15 seconds after connecting to the power supply to allow the
dryer to auto-calibrate.
• If dryer activation persists intermittently, turn dryer off at mains and turn back on and wait 15 seconds for
auto-reset feature.
The screen is blank, or the Creative message/advert has stalled, or is showing messages intermittently.
• This could be down to Wi-Fi dropout. Turn the dryer off at mains switch local to the individual dryer and turn
back on and wait 15 seconds for auto-reset feature.
• If the dryer or screen is still not operating to specified design please contact SAVORTEX technical support
on [email protected], or call+44(0) 207 712 1480.
