1. NORME DI SICUREZZA
Gli interruttori di manovra - sezionatori in cassetta della Serie ISOLATORS-EX sono utilizzati per installazioni fisse in ambienti con
potenziale rischio di esplosione, dovuto alla presenza di polveri combustibili, classificati come zona 21 e zona 22.
Queste istruzioni di installazione, uso e manutenzione devono essere conservate in luogo sicuro per permettere una consultazione
futura. Durante il funzionamento o durante le operazioni di manutenzione dell’apparato non lasciate questo manuale o altri oggetti
all’interno della custodia. Utilizzare gli interruttori di manovra - sezionatori in cassetta della Serie ISOLATORS-EX solo per l’uso
approvato e mantenendo una condizione di assoluta integrità e pulizia. Gli interruttori di manovra - sezionatori in cassetta sono
progettati per resistere ad un urto di 7J, e per essere utilizzato in normali condizioni di vibrazione.
Non è progettato per l’uso in ambienti soggetti a condizioni estreme di vibrazione. Il materiale della custodia è termoplastico. Nel
caso di una installazione del prodotto non corretta, non sarà possibile garantire il modo di protezione.
Utilizzare solo parti di ricambio originali fornite da SCAME. Nessuna modifica/lavorazione è permessa sugli interruttori di manovra
- sezionatori in cassetta se non espressamente indicata in questo manuale.
NON APRIRE LA CUSTODIA IN TENSIONE SE IN PRESENZA DI ATMOSFERA ESPLOSIVA
Osservare sempre le regole anti-infortunistiche nazionali e le istruzioni di sicurezza contenute in questo manuale ogni volta
che si opera sul dispositivo.
2. CONFORMITÀ AGLI STANDARD
I sezionatori in cassetta della serie XGE e XEM sono destinati all’uso in Zona 21 e 22, essi sono conformi alla direttiva 2014/34/
UE e in accordo alle norme:

4. INSTALLAZIONE
L’installazione deve essere eseguita da personale adeguatamente addestrato in accordo con le leggi applicabili.
Devono essere seguite le norme impiantistiche per ambienti classificati contro il rischio di esplosione per presenza di polveri
combustibili (ad esempio: EN 60079-14, oppure altre norme/standard nazionali).
Osservare le norme di comportamento generalmente accettate nell’ambito della installazione di materiale elettrico, le regole anti-
infortunistiche nazionali e le istruzioni di sicurezza contenute in questo manuale ogni volta che si opera sull’unità.
Prima di aprire il coperchio del sezionatore in cassetta disconnettere sempre la tensione d’alimentazione oppure verificare che
l’atmosfera non sia pericolosa.
Queste attività devono essere eseguite da personale esperto ed opportunamente addestrato.
4.1 ISTRUZIONI D’USO SICURO
Il grado di protezione IP dell’interruttore di manovra-sezionatore in cassetta deve essere mantenuto attraverso l’uso di adeguati
pressacavi e guarnizioni ed il completo rispetto delle norme/istruzioni di installazione e manutenzione.
È vietato alterare in qualsiasi modo l’apparecchiatura; in particolare non possono essere effettuate altre forature oltre a quelle già
esistenti. I pressacavi utilizzati devono essere idonei alle entrate di cavo (vedere punto 4.6).
Conservare il prodotto in magazzino all’interno del suo imballo originale, in modo da proteggerlo da ingresso di polvere o umidità.
L’interruttore di manovra-sezionatore in cassetta deve essere installato integro e privo di qualsiasi danno, in modo tale che la
polvere non penetri al suo interno.
Istruzioni da seguire per l’installazione corretta dell’interruttore di manovra-sezionatore in cassetta:
1) Leggere le istruzioni di installazione, uso e manutenzione relative all’interruttore di manovra-sezionatore in cassetta.
2) Utilizzando le dimensioni di fissaggio riportate in Figura 1, marcare le posizioni dei fori di fissaggio sulla parete di installazione.
3) Eseguire i fori di fissaggio sulla parete d’installazione e filettare i fori (se richiesto).
4) Togliere il dispositivo dall’imballo verificando che non abbia subito danni durante il trasporto.
5) Verificare che il coperchio e la base siano puliti e privi di difetti.
6) Verificare l’integrità della guarnizione tra coperchio e base.
7) Portare la base nella posizione di montaggio sulla parete di installazione, utilizzando ogni assistenza necessaria al fine di
prevenire infortuni.
8) Fissare l’apparato ripetendo le seguenti operazioni per ogni foro di fissaggio:
a) infilare la vite di fissaggio nel foro di fissaggio;
b) serrare il bullone oppure avvitare completamente la vite di fissaggio.
9) Verificare che il fissaggio sia sicuro.
10) Procedere al montaggio dei pressacavi (se non pre-montati) seguendo le istruzioni del costruttore.
11) Infilare i cavi nell’apparato avendo cura di fissare le armature dei cavi (se presenti).
12) Procedere al cablaggio secondo lo schema elettrico in dotazione dell’installatore. Prima di chiudere il sezionatore in cassetta.
13) Verificare che tutti i materiali estranei siano stati rimossi dall’interno: non lasciate queste istruzioni all’interno.
14) Verificare che le guarnizioni siano integre ed installate correttamente.
15) Chiudere il coperchio serrando opportunamente le viti al fine di garantire il grado IP. La coppia di serraggio delle viti è 2.5 Nm.
16) Conservate in luogo sicuro queste istruzioni per una consultazione futura.

4.2 CABLAGGIO DEI MORSETTI
I cablaggi devono essere eseguiti a regola d’arte. Usare solo attrezzatura di dimensione corretta per eseguire il cablaggio.
Ciascun morsetto può ospitare un solo filo conduttore, a meno che più fili conduttori non siano stati preventivamente uniti in
modo idoneo. I cavi elettrici devono avere un isolamento adeguato alla tensione. I morsetti non utilizzati devono essere serrati
completamente.
4.3 PROTEZIONE MESSA A TERRA
L’interruttore di manovra-sezionatore in cassetta deve essere collegato ai circuiti di protezione/terra in accordo con le regole di
installazione dell’impianto.
Il morsetto di terra interno dovrà essere collegato ad un circuito equipotenziale di protezione o messa a terra prima di procedere
con l’alimentazione dell’apparato.
4.4 PRESSACAVI
Utilizzare solo pressacavi ATEX idonei alle sostanze, temperature e zona di installazione (marcati II 2D Ex tb IIIC con grado di
protezione minimo IP66). Assicurarsi che i pressacavi selezionati siano adatti ai cavi, così da impedire allentamenti e garantire
una tenuta permanente contro l’ingresso di umidità e polvere. Le entrate di cavo non utilizzate se aperte, devono essere
chiuse con tappi certificati ATEX idonei alle sostanze, temperature e zona di installazione (marcati II 2D Ex tb IIIC con grado di
protezione minimo IP66).
• Per l’installazione di pressacavi oggetto di certificazione ATEX separata, seguire le relative istruzioni della tabella 4.
• Il numero massimo di pressacavi (o tappi) che possono essere montati è indicato nella tabella 3.
• Prevedere un cavo di alimentazione adeguato alla massima temperatura d’ingresso; vedi tabella 3.

5. USO, MANUTENZIONE E RIPARAZIONE
Ispezione e manutenzione di questo interruttore di manovra-sezionatore in cassetta devono essere eseguite da personale
adeguatamente addestrato in accordo con la regola dell’arte secondo le norme impiantistiche e di manutenzione per ambienti
classificati contro il rischio di esplosione per presenza di polveri combustibili (ad esempio: EN 60079-14, oppure altre norme/
standard nazionali).
Durante la manutenzione periodica verificare sempre i componenti da cui dipende il grado di protezione. La riparazione di questo
apparato deve essere eseguita da personale adeguatamente addestrato in accordo con la regola dell’arte.

5.1 LUCCHETTO DA UTILIZZARE
Per una corretta lucchettabilità della manovra rotativa utilizzare solo lucchetti con un diametro dell’arco di 4,7mm.
5.2 MANUTENZIONE PERIODICA
L’attività di manutenzione periodica è necessaria a garantire il corretto funzionamento ed il mantenimento del grado protezione
dell’interruttore di manovra-sezionatore in cassetta.
1) Verificare le condizioni di integrità della guarnizione ogni volta che la custodia viene aperta.
2) Verificare che le viti di chiusura siano tutte in posizione e ben serrate ogni volta che la custodia viene chiusa.
3) Verificare che le viti/bulloni di fissaggio a parete siano ben serrate e prive di corrosione ogni anno.
4) Verificare la tenuta dei pressacavi ogni anno.
5) Verificare eventuali danni alla custodia ogni anno.
6) Verificare che i morsetti a vite siano serrati come indicato in tabella 2.
7) In ambienti con presenza di polvere combustibile è necessario pulire periodicamente la superficie esterna della custodia,
evitando che lo spessore di polvere depositata superi i 5 mm.
5.3 AGGRESSIONE CHIMICA
Il dispositivo ISOLATORS-EX è costruito usando:
• Lega termoplastica (PC Xiloxane) per base e coperchio involucro, mostrina manovra e manovra rotativa.
• Gomma termoplastica per guarnizione base-coperchio e guarnizione manopola.
• Viti in acciaio inox AISI316.
È necessario considerare attentamente l’ambiente di installazione e verificare la compatibilità di questi materiali all’eventuale
presenza di agenti chimici o atmosfere corrosive.
5.4 SMALTIMENTO
Lo smaltimento del prodotto deve essere fatto in base alle regole nazionali di smaltimento e riciclaggio dei rifiuti industriali.

These instructions are intended for: expert electricians or appropriately trained personnel.
1. SAFETY INFORMATION
The switch - disconnectors in enclosures of the ISOLATORS-EX Series can be used for fixed installations in environments with a
potential risk of explosion, due to the presence of combustible dust, classified as zone 21 and zone 22.
These instructions for installation, use and maintenance must be kept in a safe location for future reference. During operation or
maintenance work on the apparatus, do not leave this manual or other objects inside the enclosure. Use the ISOLATORS-EX Series
switch - disconnectors in enclosures for their approved use only, and keep them completely intact and clean.
The switch - disconnectors in enclosures are designed to withstand shocks of 7 J and to be used under normal vibration conditions.
They are not designed for use in environments subject to extreme vibrations.
The enclosure is made of thermoplastic material. The type of protection cannot be guaranteed if the product is installed incorrectly.
Use only original spare parts supplied by SCAME. No modification/work is permitted on the switch - disconnector in enclosure
unless specifically indicated in this manual.

Always follow the national safety rules and the safety instructions contained in this manual when ever working on the device.

4. INSTALLATION
Installation must be carried out by suitably trained personnel in compliance with applicable laws.
The plant-engineering standards for environments classified against the risk of explosion due to the presence of combustible
dust must be followed (e.g.: EN 60079-14, or other national standards/regulations).
Comply with the rules of generally accepted engineering practice for the installation of electrical material, national safety
rules and the safety instructions contained in this manual whenever working on the unit. Before opening the cover of
the switch - disconnector in enclosure, always disconnect the power supply voltage or check that the atmosphere is not
hazardous. These operations must be carried out by suitably trained and expert personnel.
4.1 INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE USE
The IP degree of protection of the switch - disconnector in enclosure must be maintained by using suitable cable glands and
gaskets and by complete compliance with the installation and maintenance instructions/standards. The equipment must not
be altered in any manner; in particular no holes may be drilled other than the existing ones.
The cable glands used must be suitable for the cable entries (see point 4.6). Store the product in the warehouse inside its
original packaging to protect it from dust and humidity.
The switch - disconnector in enclosure must be installed intact and free of any damage, so that the dust does not penetrate inside it.
Instructions for correct installation of the switch - disconnector in enclosure:
1) Read the Instructions for installation, use and maintenance regarding the switch - disconnector in enclosure.
2) Using the fastening dimensions shown in Figure 1, mark the positions of the fastening holes on the installation wall.
3) Drill the fastening holes on the installation wall and thread the holes (if required).
4) Remove the device from the package and check that it has not been damaged during transport.
5) Check that the cover and base are clean and free of defects.
6) Make sure that the gasket between cover and base is intact.
7) Place the base in the assembly position on the installation wall, using any assistance necessary in order to prevent accidents.
8) Fasten the apparatus by repeating the following operations for each fastening hole:
a) insert the clamping screw into the fastening hole;
b) tighten the bolt or tighten the clamping screw completely.
9) Check that the fastening is secure.
10) Proceed with the assembly of the cable glands (if not preassembled) following the manufacturer’s instructions.
11) Insert the cables in the apparatus, being careful to secure the amour of the cables (if applicable).
12) Proceed with the wiring according to the wiring diagram issued to the installer. Before closing the switch - disconnector in
enclosure.
13) Check that all foreign materials have been removed from inside: do not leave these instructions inside.
14) Check that the gaskets are intact and installed properly.
15) Close the cover by tightening the screws appropriately in order to guarantee the IP degree of protection. The tightening torque
of the screws is 2.5 Nm.
16) Store these instructions in a safe location for future reference.

4.2 WIRING OF THE TERMINALS
The wiring must be carried out up to standard. Use only properly sized equipment to perform the wiring.Each terminal can host
a single conductor, unless several conductors have been joined previously in a suitable manner. The electrical cables must have
insulation suited for the voltage. Unused terminals must be tightened completely.
4.3 EARTHING PROTECTION
Il The switch - disconnector in enclosure must be connected to protection/earthing circuits in compliance with the system’s
installation rules.
The internal earth terminal will have to be connected to an equipotential protection or earthing circuit before powering the
apparatus.
4.4 CABLE GLANDS
Use only ATEX cable glands which are suitable for the substances, temperatures and installation zone (marked II 2D Ex tb IIIC
with minimum degree of protection IP66). Make certain that the cable glands selected are suitable for the cables, so as to prevent
loosening guarantee a permanent seal against humidity and dust.
The unused cable entries, if open, must be closed with ATEX certified plugs which are suitable for the substances, temperatures
and installation zone (marked II 2D Ex tb IIIC with minimum degree of protection IP66).
• For the installation of cable glands subject to separate ATEX certification, follow the respective instructions in table 4.
• The maximum number of cable glands (or plugs) that can be installed is indicated in Table 3.
• Provide a power supply cable suited for the maximum entry temperature; see table 3.

5. USE, MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
The inspection and maintenance of this switch - disconnector in enclosure must be carried out by suitably trained personnel up to
standard and according to plant-engineering and maintenance standards for environments classified against the risk of explosion
due to the presence of combustible dust (e.g.: EN 60079-14 or other national standards/regulations).
During routine maintenance, always check the components responsible for the degree of protection. All repairs of this apparatus
must be carried out by suitably trained personnel in compliance with the standards.
5.1 PADLOCK TO BE USED
For correct lockability of the rotary switch, use only padlocks with an arch diameter of 4.7mm.

5.2 ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
Routine maintenance is necessary in order to guarantee proper operation and preservation of the degree of protection of the
switch - disconnector in enclosure.
1) Check that the gasket is intact each time the enclosure is opened.
2) Check that the closing screws are all in position and well-tightened each time the enclosure is closed.
3) Check that the screws/bolts fastening the enclosure to the wall are well-tightened and free of corrosion each year.
4) Check the seal of the cable glands each year.
5) Check for any damage to the enclosure each year.
6) Check that the screw terminals are tightened as indicated in table 2.
7) In environments with the presence of combustible dust, the outer surface of the enclosure must be cleaned periodically,
preventing the deposited dust from reaching a thickness of more than 5 mm.
5.3 CHEMICAL AGGRESSION
The ISOLATORS-EX device has been manufactured using:
• Thermoplastic alloy (PC Xiloxane) for the enclosure base and cover; switch facing and rotary switch.
• Thermoplastic rubber for the base-cover gasket and knob gasket.
• Screws in AISI316 stainless steel.
The environment in which the device will be installed must be considered carefully in order to verify the compatibility of these
materials with the presence of chemical agents or corrosive atmospheres.
5.4 DISPOSAL
The product must be disposed of in compliance with national rules on the disposal and recycling of industrial waste.

1. NORMES DE SÉCURITÉ
Les interrupteurs de manoeuvre – boîtiers disjoncteurs de la Série ISOLATORS-EX sont utilisés pour les installations fixes dans
les environnements comportant des risques d’explosion du fait de la présence de poussières combustibles classés comme zone
21 et zone 22. Ces instructions d’installation, d’utilisation et d’entretien doivent être conservées dans un lieu sûr en vue de toute
consultation nécessaire. Ne pas laisser ce manuel ou d’autres objets à l’intérieur du boîtier durant le fonctionnement ou les
opérations d’entretien de l’appareil. Utiliser uniquement les boîtiers disjoncteurs de la Série ISOLATORS-EX comme autorisé et les
maintenir en parfait état de fonctionnement et de propreté.
Les boîtiers disjoncteurs ont été projetés pour résister à un choc 7J et pour être utilisés en conditions de vibration normales. Ils
ne sont pas prévus pour être utilisés dans des environnements comportant des vibrations extrêmes. Le boîtier est en matériau
thermoplastique. Ce type de protection ne peut être garanti en cas d’installation incorrecte du produit.
Utiliser exclusivement des pièces détachées originales SCAME. Aucune modification/transformation n’est autorisée sur le boîtier
disjoncteur à l’exception de celles expressément indiquées dans ce manuel.

4. INSTALLATION
L’installation doit être effectuée par un personnel spécialisé et conformément à la législation en vigueur Il est obligatoire de
respecter les normes d’installation relatives aux environnements comportant des risques d’explosion du fait de la présence de
poussières combustibles (ex. EN 60079-14 ou autres normes nationales).
Se conformer aux normes de comportement généralement adoptées pour l’installation de matériel électrique, aux règles de
prévention des accidents nationales et aux instructions de sécurité contenues dans ce manuel lors de toute intervention sur l’unité.
Avant d’ouvrir le couvercle du boîtier disjoncteur, vérifier que l’atmosphère n’est pas dangereuse ou bien sectionner la
tension d’alimentation. Ces opérations doivent être effectuées par un personnel expert et qualifié.
4.1 INSTRUCTIONS EN VUE D’UNE UTILISATION SÛRE
Le degré de protection du boîtier disjoncteur doit être garanti via utilisation de presse-étoupes et de garnitures adéquats, et les
normes et instructions d’installation et d’entretien doivent être rigoureusement respectées.
Il est interdit d’apporter une quelconque modification au matériel fourni ; aucun perçage ne doit en particulier être effectué en-
dehors des orifices prévus. Les presse-étoupes utilisés doivent correspondre aux entrées de câbles (voir point 4.6).
Conserver le produit en stock dans son emballage d’origine afin de le protéger contre les poussières et l’humidité.
Le boîtier disjoncteur doit être installé en parfait état pour éviter toute pénétration de poussière à l’intérieur du dispositif.
Instructions en vue de l’installation correcte du boîtier disjoncteur :
1) Lire les instructions d’installation, utilisation et entretien du boîtier disjoncteur.
2) En utilisant les dimensions de fixation de la Figure 2, marquer les positions des orifices de fixation sur la paroi d’installation.
3) Percer les orifices de fixation sur la paroi d’installation et fileter les orifices (si nécessaire).
4) Retirer le dispositif de son emballage en vérifiant qu’il n’a subi aucun dommage durant le transport.
5) Vérifier que le couvercle et la base sont propres et dépourvus de tout défaut.
6) Vérifier l’intégrité du joint entre le couvercle et la base.
7) Placer la base en position de montage sur la paroi d’installation en utilisant toute l’assistance nécessaire afin d’éviter les
accidents.
8) Fixer le dispositif en répétant les opérations suivantes pour chaque orifice de fixation:
a) introduire la vis de fixation dans l’orifice;
b) serrer le boulon ou visser complètement la vis de fixation.
9) Vérifier la fixation.
10) Procéder au montage des presse-étoupes (si non prémontés) selon les instructions du fabricant.
11) Enfiler les câbles dans le dispositif en ayant soin de fixer les armatures des câbles (si prévus).
12) Procéder au câblage selon le schéma électrique fourni par l’installateur. Avant de fermer le boîtier disjoncteur.
13) Vérifier qu’aucun matériel étranger au fonctionnement n’est resté à l’intérieur : ne pas laisser ces instructions à l’intérieur.
14) Vérifier que les garnitures sont en bon état et correctement installées.
15) Fermer le couvercle en serrant bien les vis afin de garantir le degré IP. Le couple de serrage des vis est de 2,5 Nm.
16) Conserver ces instructions en lieu sûr pour toute consultation future.
