Installation Instruction
Extend Handle(EHR) for GCB150 and GCB250 Circuit Breakers

1. Check points before use
Check the packed parts following to Table 1, Fig 1 as soon as you take.

2. Assembling procedures
1) Mount the supporter on BASE ASS’Y with two screws, M4XL12 and nuts. (Fig 1)
At this time, the center of supporter should be aligned to the center of groove in
SHAFT BASE. (Fig 2)
2) Before installation of Handle, push the TRIP-BUTTON of the circuit breaker to
turn power off. (Fig 3)
The handle of circuit breaker move to the center after pressing the TRIP-
BUTTON. It shows circuit breaker change to TRIP state. (Fig 4)
2. Proceso de Ensamblaje
1) Adhiera Supporter a BASE ASSY usando Screw M4XL12, M4 Nut 2ea. (Fig 1)
Verifique el centro de Supporter está alienado con el centro de la muesca de
SHAFT BASE. (Fig 2)
2) Anter de la instalación de Handle, apriete TRIP-BUTTON del interruptor para
apagar el dispositivo. (Fig 3)
Verifique que Handle se mueve al medio después de presionar BUTTON. Esto
significa que el interruptor está en estado TRIP. (Fig 4)

1) Apply appropriate personal protective equipment
(PPE) and follow safe electrical work practices. See
NFPA 70E.
2) This equipment must be installed and serviced only
by qualified electrical personnel.
3) Turn off all power supplying this equipment before
working on or inside equipment.
4) Always use a properly rated voltage sensing device
to confirm power is off.
5) Replace all devices, doors and covers before
turning on power to this equipment.
Failure to follow these instructions will result
in death or serious injury.

1) Utilice equipo de protección personal (EPP) apropiado y
siga las prácticas de seguridad en trabajos eléctricos

NFPA y NOM-029-STPS.
2) Solamente el personal eléctrico especializado deberá
instalar y prestar servicio de mantenimiento a este equipo.
3) Desenergice el equipo antes de realizar cualquier trabajo
dentro o fuera de él.
4) Siempre utilice un dispositivo detector de tensión nominal
adecuado para confirmar la desenergización del equipo.
5) Vuelva a colocar todos los dispositivos, las puertas y las
cubiertas antes de energizar este equipo.
El incumplimiento de estas instrucciones
podrá causar la muerte o lesiones serias.

1) Portez un équipement de protection personnelle (ÉPP)
approprié et observez les méthodes de ravail électrique
sécuritaire. Voir NFPA 70E.
2) Seul un personnel qualifié doit effectuer l'installation et
l'entretien de cet appareil.
3) Coupez toutes les alimentations de l'appareil avant d'y
travailler.
4) Utilisez toujours un dispositif de détection de tension à
valeur nominale appropriée pour vous assurer que
l'alimentation est coupée.
5) Replacez tous les dispositifs, les portes et les couvercles
avant de mettrel'appareil sous tension.
Si ces directives ne sont pas respectées, cela
entraînera la mort ou des blessures graves.

3) The BAR PLATE of GCB150/GCB250 Base Assembly should be at OFF position.
Assemble the spring at OFF position. At first, Lay the BASE ASS’Y on the circuit
breaker to Handle of circuit breaker project through the hole of BAR PLATE. And
then, Pull the BASE ASS’Y to array mounting holes of BASE ASS’Y and circuit
breaker’s are on the same lines. And Tighten up mounting screws. (Fig 5)
In case, The circuit breakers and Handle together are mounted at once. use two
mounting screws of handle. When you want to attach the new Handle on the
circuit breaker in use that already mounted, remove two mounting screws of
circuit breaker with Handle mounting screws.
In this case, remove two screws from circuit breaker on diagonal side at first and
assemble the Handle on right position secondary and tighten two Handle
mounting screws to empty mounting holes instead of removed old ones at last.
3) En el momento de la apertura, BAR PLATE de GCB150/GCB250 Base Assembly
debe encontrarse en posición OFF debido al resorte. Primero, ponga BASE ASSY
en el hoyo de BAR PLATE, de Handle de MCCB. Después, apriete los mounting
screws. (Fig 5)
En caso de que instale el interruptor y Handle al mismo tiempo, use DOS
mounting screws. Cuando desee adherir un nuevo Handle a un MCCB que ya se
encuentra instalado, remueva dos o tres mounting screws del MCCB, y
reemplace dos mounting screws del MCCB con Handle mounting screws.
En este caso, remueva dos Screws del MCCB y utilice Handle Mounting Screws.
4) Assemble the HANDLE ASS’Y on the door.
Before the HANDLE ASS’Y assembling, please cut holes on panel to assemble
the HANDLE ASS’Y. Tighten four screws(M4 x L25) to assemble the HANDLE
ASS’Y through holes on the door. (Fig 6)
You can change operating angle, changing the HANDLE ASS’Y assembling
holes position by 90 degree at same center point in clockwise direction only.
Care should be taken not to damage the gasket. Align the gasket to match the
holes to the handle Assembly. Install the gasket before attached before the
Handle Assembly. (Fig 7)
4) Ensamble HANDLE ASSY en Panel Door.
Antes de ensamblar HANDLE ASSY, prepare agujeros en el Panel como se
muestra en la Fig 6. Después, utilice cuatro M4 X L25 Screws para instalar
HANDLE ASSY en los agujeros. (Fig 6)
Cuando desee cambiar el ángulo de la instalación, puede poner agujeros a 90
grados en el sentido del reloj. Sin embargo, verifique que no sea un obstáculo
en la apertura y cerradura de Door. Tiene un Gasket.
En caso de ser usado en Panel, adhiera éstos al Door primero y después
Handle. (Fig 7)

5) If the length of shaft is not fit on panel, cut the shaft to use. Cutting should be
done on bottom side that is not connected to HANDLE ASS’Y. Connect the
shaft after cutting. At this time, the angle of SHAFT should be settled that door
can be opened when HANDLE is on ‘OFF’ position. Door locked when HANDLE
is on ‘ON’ position but just Door closing is possible. (Fig 8)
Cut the shaft to length(L), as follow.

Tighten the screw M5 X L14 to fix the SHAFT.
The pin of SHAFT should be inserted to the long groove of V LEVER through the
hole of BACK BASE that unblocked by SHAFT HOLDER. (Fig 9)
5) Si la longitud de Shaft no encaja en el Panel, córtelo para usarlo.Debe ser
cortado de la parte inferior que no se conecta a HANDLE ASSY. Conecte Shaft
después del corte. En este momento, Shaft debe encontrarse en un ángulo en
el cual Door se puede abrir cuando HANDLE está en posición OFF. En posición
ON, es posible cerrar Door pero no se debe abrir. (Fig 8)
Corte el eje en la longitud(L) de la siguiente manera.

Utilice M5XL14 para fijar SHAFT.
El SHAFT PIN debe ser insertado a la muesca larga de V LEVER, atravesando el
agujero de BACK BASE que no es tapado por SHAFT HOLDER. (Fig 9)

3. Pretest
Handle installation, do test operations before use. It’s the better way that pretest be
done under condition that uptream circuit breaker was off.
1) Operations of Handle
Close the door and rotate the Handle the RESET Direction for making the circuit
breaker ready. Rotate the Handle to ON and OFF direction to check operations.
It is possible that there is problem if Handle return to TRIP direction automatically
when you try to make ON, rotate it enough.
If this occurs re-check the installation of the handle, base assembly and the
breaker for problems.
2) Opening and Closing of Panel door
Opening and closing of panel door is possible when the Handle is on ‘OFF’ position.
The Door can not be opened when Handle is on ‘ON’ position. The SHAFT should
be inserted to the groove of HANDLE ASS’Y smoothly. The Handle should not be
an obstacle to opening and closing of neighbor panels.
3. Prueba Piloto
Después de haber instalado Handle, realice operaciones de prueba antes de usar
el dispositivo.
1) Operaciones de Handle
Cierre la puerta y gire Handle en dirección RESET para preparar el interruptor. Gire
Handle en dirección ON y OFF para verificar operaciones.
Es posible quehaya un problema si Handle regresa automáticamente a dirección
TRIP u OFF cuando usted trate de hace ON y haya girado Handle lo suficiente.
En este caso, verifique una vez más la instalación, Handle e interruptor.
Recurra al Centro de Atención a Clientes mencionado en la parte inferior si el
problema continúa.
2) Apertura y Cerradura de Panel Door
Se puede abrir y cerrar Panel Door cuando Handle está en posición OFF.
No debe abrirse Panel Door en posición ON. SHAFT debe insertarse suavemente
a la muesca de HANDLE ASSY. Handle no debe ser un obstáculo en la apertura y
cerradura de otros paneles.
4. Locking
The Handle that listed in table 1. have three kinds of locking.
1) HANDLE LOCK(OFF)
Using the padlock through the hole of LOCK PLATE, HANDLE LOCK(OFF)
available. Operate the handle to the ‘OFF’ position and pull the LOCK PLATE.
(Fig 10)
2) HANDLE LOCK(ON)
Using the padlock through the hole of LOCK PLATE, HANDLE LOCK(ON)
available. Operate the handle to the ‘on’ position and pull the LOCK PLATE.
(Fig 10)
3) BASE LOCK(OFF)
During maintenance, if you want to prevent the ‘ON’ operation, you can use the
BASE LOCK(OFF). There are aligned holes at lower left side of BASE ASS’Y at
the ‘OFF’ position and you can use them for BASE LOCK(OFF). (Fig 11)
4. Bloqueo
Handle en la Tabla 1 tiene 3 tipos de bloqueo(Lock).
1) Handle Lock (Off)
Puede bloquear Handle mediante el uso de un candado en el hoyo de Lock
Plate. Ponga Handle es posición OFF y tire Lock Plate.(Fig 10)
2) Handle Lock (On)
Puede bloquear Handle mediante el uso de un candado en el hoyo de Lock
Plate. Ponga Handle es posición ON y tire Lock Plate.(Fig 10)
3) Base Lock (Off)
Si quiere prevenir operación ON durante el mantenimiento, puede usar Base
Lock. Unos hoyos están alineados a la izquierda de BASE ASSY en posición
OFF y puede utilizarlos para Base Lock. (Fig 11)
