Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Bei diesem Produkt handelt es sich um eine Lichteffekt-
strahler, der mit LED-Dioden spezielle Lichteffekte erzeugt.
Das Gerät kann im mit einem DMX 512 Controller im Stand
Alone-Betrieb oder Musik Kontroll-Modus verwendet werden.
Dieses Produkt ist für den Anschluss an 230 V, 50 Hz Wech-
selspannung zugelassen und wurde ausschließlich zur Ver-
wendung in Innenräumen konzipiert.
Wird das Gerät anders verwendet als in dieser Bedienungs-
anleitung beschrieben, kann dies zu Schäden am Produkt
führen und der Gewährleistungsanspruch erlischt. Außer-
dem ist jede andere Verwendung mit Gefahren wie z.B. Kurz-
schluss, Brand, elektrischem Schlag, etc. verbunden.
Die vom Hersteller festgelegte Seriennummer darf niemals
entfernt werden, da ansonsten der Gewährleistungsan-
spruch erlischt.

tective insulation.
For reasons of safety and approval (CE) the personal recons-
truction and/or modication of this product is prohibited. Ple-
ase observe that damage caused by modications perfor-
med manually to this device is not covered by the warranty.
This product leaves our factory in a perfect condition. Please
observe all notes in these operating instructions to warrant
this condition and the safe operation of the product!
Any damage caused as a result of the non-compliance with
these operating instructions leads to the expiration of any
warranty claim. The manufacturer does not accept liability
for any damage to property or for personal injury resulting
from the improper handling of the product, or non-observan-
ce of the operating instructions.
Store these operating instructions in a safe place for later
reference and pass them to any new holder when selling or
lending or leaving this device in the hands of any other party.
Application According to Purpose
This product is a LED scanner that generates special lighting
effects. The device can be operated with a DMX 512 control-
ler or as stand-alone device or music controlled.
This product is designed for 230 V, 50 Hz A/C operation and
exclusively for indoor use.
If used for any purpose other than described in these ope-
rating instructions, the device may suffer damage and the
warranty expires. Also, any other use is linked to risks such
as short circuits, re, electrical shock, etc.
The manufacturer‘s serial number must never be removed
as otherwise the warranty expires.
Notes on Safety
1. Before Operation
Prior to the initial operation of this product we ask you to

2. Epilepsie
Blicken Sie niemals während des Betriebes direkt in die
Lichtquelle. Dies kann bei empndlichen Menschen epilep-
tische Anfälle auslösen!
3. Netzspannung, Netzkabel und Netzanschluss
- Der Umgang mit Netzspannung, Netzkabeln und Netzan-
schlüssen erfordert wegen der Gefahr eines lebensgefähr-
lichen elektrischen Schlages, der Gefahr eines Brandes und
der Gefahr eines Kurzschlusses besondere Vorsicht! Bitte
beachten Sie insbesondere folgende Hinweise:
- Produkte, die an Netzspannung betrieben werden, gehören
nicht in Kinderhände. Stellen Sie deshalb sicher, dass bei
Anwesenheit von Kindern in der Nähe des Produktes eine
dauerhafte Aufsicht erfolgt!
- In gewerblichen Einrichtungen sind die Unfallverhütungs-
vorschriften des Verbandes der gewerblichen Berufsgenos-
senschaft zu beachten.
- In Schulen, Ausbildungseinrichtungen, Hobby- oder Selbst-
hilfewerkstätten ist das Betreiben des Gerätes durch ge-
schultes Personal verantwortlich zu überwachen.
- Überprüfen Sie das Produkt regelmäßig auf Beschädigun-
gen des Netzkabels! Sollten Sie dabei Schäden am Netz-
kabel entdecken, nehmen Sie das Produkt nicht in Betrieb,
bzw. außer Betrieb! Sichern Sie das Produkt gegen unbeab-
sichtigten Betrieb und setzen Sie sich mit Ihrem Fachhänd-
ler in Verbindung!
- Trennen Sie das Produkt immer vom Netz, indem Sie den
Netzstecker an der Griffäche anfassen. Ziehen Sie nie-
mals an der Netzleitung!
- Stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie das Produkt ausschließlich an
230 V, 50 Hz Wechselspannung anschließen!
- Stellen Sie bei Installation, Betrieb, Transport und Lagerung
des Produktes stets sicher, dass das Netzkabel weder me-
chanisch, noch durch Feuchtigkeit, Flüssigkeit, Hitze oder
Kälte beschädigt werden kann!
- Die Kabeleinführungen am Produkt dürfen nicht durch Zug
belastet werden!
- Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Netzanschluss erst nach dem
Aufbau des Produktes erfolgt. Den Netzstecker immer als
letztes einstecken!

2. Epilepsy
Never look directly into the light source. This can cause epi-
leptic seizures, especially with sensitive people.
3. Supply Voltage, Mains Cord and Connection to Mains
- The handling of supply voltage, mains cords and connec-
tions to mains calls for particular care considering the po-
tential risk from a life-threatening electric shock, the risk
of re and the risk of short circuits! Please observe the fol-
lowing notes in particular:
- Products operating on supply voltage should be kept out
of the reach of children. Therefore ensure the permanent
supervision if children are in the immediate vicinity of the
product!
- For commercial facilities the regulations on the prevention
of accidents of the respective trade association must be
observed.
- The operation of this equipment at schools, training facili-
ties, and hobby or self-help workshops must be supervised
responsibly by trained personnel.
- Check the product regularly for any damage to the mains
cord! Should you discover any damage to the mains cord,
do not operate and disconnect this product! Secure the
product against accidental operation and contact your spe-
cialised dealer!
- Always separate the product from mains by holding the
mains plug by the handling surface. Never disconnect by
holding the line cord!
- Be sure to connect the product exclusively to 230 V, 50 Hz
A/C!
- Always ensure during installation, operation, transport and
when storing the product that the mains cord is not expo-
sed to possible mechanical damage, or damage caused by
humidity, uids, heat or cold!
- The product‘s cable entry must not be exposed to stress
from pull!
- Create the mains connection once the product has been
installed only. Always connect the mains plug last!

- Fassen Sie Netzkabel, Netzstecker und Netzsteckdosen nie
mit nassen oder feuchten Händen an!
- Trennen Sie das Produkt bei Nichtbenutzung und vor jeder
Reinigung vom Netz! Fassen Sie dazu den Netzstecker an
der Griffäche an und ziehen Sie niemals an der Netzlei-
tung!
4. Gehäuse
- Öffnen Sie niemals das Gehäuse! Darin benden sich keine
zu wartenden Teile. Die Wartung darf nur von fachkundi-
gem Personal durchgeführt werden, ansonsten verfällt die
Gewährleistung!
- Stellen Sie bei Installation, Betrieb, Transport und Lagerung
des Produktes stets sicher, dass keine Erschütterungen
oder sonstige Gewalteinwirkungen auf das Gehäuse ein-
wirken können!
- Es darf keinerlei Flüssigkeit in das Gehäuse eindringen, z.B.
durch vorübergehende Überutung oder durch Eintauchen
oder durch Untertauchen. Dies kann die Schutzisolierung
reduzieren oder Kurzschlüsse auslösen könnte, was zu töd-
lichen Stromschlägen führen kann! Im Fall von eingedrun-
gener Flüssigkeit müssen Sie sofort den Netzstecker zie-
hen, das Produkt gegen unbeabsichtigten Betrieb sichern
und sich mit Ihrem Fachhändler in Verbindung setzen!
Schäden, die durch Flüssigkeiten im Gehäuse entstehen,
sind von der Gewährleistung ausgeschlossen.
- Es dürfen keine Metallteile oder sonstige Gegenstände in
das Gehäuse gelangen, da dies die Schutzisolierung re-
duzieren oder Kurzschlüsse auslösen könnte, was zu tödli-
chen Stromschlägen führen kann! Im Fall von eingedrunge-
nen Metallteilen oder sonstigen Gegenständen müssen Sie
sofort den Netzstecker ziehen, das Produkt gegen unbeab-
sichtigten Betrieb sichern und sich mit Ihrem Fachhändler
in Verbindung setzen! Schäden, die durch Metallteile oder
sonstige Gegenstände im Gehäuse entstehen, sind von der
Gewährleistung ausgeschlossen.
5. Betriebsumgebung
- Das Produkt darf nur im Trockenen betrieben und gelagert
werden! Spritzwasser, Regen, Feuchtigkeit, Nebel können

- When not using the product, and prior to cleaning always
disconnect the product from mains! To do so, hold the mains
plug by the handling surface and never pull the mains cord!
4. Housing
- Never open the housing! The inside does not contain any
parts that require maintenance. Maintenance must be car-
ried out by expert staff only, otherwise the warranty ex-
pires!
- Always ensure during installation, operation, transport and
when storing the product that no shocks or other forces
impact the housing!
- Fluids must not enter the housing (e.g. through temporary
ooding, dipping or immersion) as this could reduce the
protective insulation and may trigger short circuits which
may lead to fatal electric shocks! If uids have entered,
disconnect the mains plug immediately and secure the
product against unintentional operation and contact your
specialised dealer! Damage caused as a result of uids en-
tering the housing is exempt from warranty.
- No metal parts or other items must enter the housing as
this may reduce the protective insulation or trigger short
circuits which may lead to fatal electric shocks! If metal
parts or other items have entered, disconnect the mains
plug immediately, secure the product against unintentio-
nal operation and contact your specialised dealer! Damage
caused by metal parts or other items in the housing is ex-
empt from warranty.
5. Operating Environment
- The product must be operated and stored in a dry environ-
ment only! Splash water, rain, humidity, fog may reduce

die Schutzisolierung reduzieren, was zu tödlichen Strom-
schlägen führen kann! Der Grenzwert für die relative Luft-
feuchtigkeit liegt bei 95% bei 45 Grad Celsius. Zu einer
Nebelmaschine muss ein Mindestabstand von 0,5 m ein-
gehalten werden; die Nebelsättigung im Raum darf eine
Sichtweite von 10 m nicht unterschreiten.
- Das Produkt darf nur bei einer Temperatur zwischen -20
und 45 Grad Celsius betrieben werden. Schützen Sie das
Produkt dazu vor direkter Sonneneinstrahlung oder ander-
weitiger externer Erhitzung wie z.B. durch Heizkörper!
- Wenn das Produkt von einem kalten Raum in einen warmen
Raum gebracht wurde, darf es erst in Betrieb genommen
werden, wenn es Zimmertemperatur erreicht hat, da das
dabei entstehende Kondenswasser es unter Umständen
zerstören kann!
- Das Produkt muss vor Staub geschützt werden! Staub kann
die Schutzisolierung reduzieren, was zu tödlichen Strom-
schlägen führen kann!
- Das Produkt darf nur zwischen Höhenlagen von 20 m un-
ter bis 2000 m über Normalnull (NN) in Betrieb genommen
werden!
- Das Produkt darf nicht bei Gewitter betrieben werden, da
ansonsten eine Zerstörung durch Überspannung droht!
6. Reinigung
- Das Produkt muss regelmäßig von Staub, anderen Ablage-
rungen und Verschmutzungen gereinigt werden, weil an-
sonsten die Schutzisolierung reduziert werden könnte, was
zu tödlichen Stromschlägen führen kann!
- Trennen Sie das Produkt vor jeder Reinigung unbedingt
vom Netz!
- Dieses Produkt sollte nur mit einem leicht feuchten Tuch
gereinigt werden, verwenden Sie niemals aggressive Rei-
nigungsmittel, Lösungsmittel oder Waschbenzin zum Rei-
nigen.
- Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Produkt komplett trocken ist,
bevor Sie es nach der Reinigung wieder in Betrieb nehmen!
7. Transport
Um Transportschäden auszuschließen, verpacken Sie das
Produkt bitte nur in der ursprünglichen Originalverpackung
und lassen Sie beim Transport Vorsicht walten!
8. Installation
- Das Gerät muss an dem dafür vorgesehenen Haken aufge-
hangen betrieben werden.
- Wenn dieses Lichteffektgerät irgendwelche Anzeichen von

- If the product is taken from a cold environment into a warm
environment it must only be taken into operation once it
has reached ambient temperature, since the condensation
created by the difference in temperature may destroy the
device!
- Protect the product against dust! Dust may reduce the pro-
tective insulation, which may cause fatal electric shocks!
- The product must be operated at altitudes ranging bet-
ween 20 mtr below and 2000 mtr above sea level only!
- The product must not be operated during thunder storms;
risk of destruction from surge voltages!
6. Cleaning
- The product must be freed regularly from dust, other depo-
sits and contamination as this may reduce the protective
insulation, which may lead to a fatal electric shock!
- Before cleaning, always disconnect the product from mains!
- This product should be cleaned with a moist cloth only;
never use aggressive cleaning agents, solvents or benzine
for cleaning.
- Ensure that the product is completely dry before operating
it again after cleaning!
7. Transport
To avoid damage caused during transport, wrap the product
in its original packaging only and handle it with great care
during transport!
8. Installation
- The device must be operated only with the device being
suspended by the intended hook.
- Should your Scanic lighting effect show any signs of da-

Beschädigung aufweist, darf eine Installation nicht vorge-
nommen werden! Lassen Sie in diesem Fall das Lichteffekt-
gerät durch Ihren Scanic-Fachhändler reparieren.
- Scanic übernimmt keine Verantwortung oder Haftung für
durch unsachgemäße aufgehangene Installation entstan-
dene Sach- oder Personenschäden!
- Eine aufgehangene Installation dieses Lichteffektgerätes
darf nur mit einem dafür geeigneten Trägersystem erfol-
gen!
- Eine aufgehangene Installation dieses Lichteffektgerätes
darf nur mit dafür vorgesehenen Materialien vorgenom-
men werden!
- Beachten Sie bei gewerblichen Einsatz die Einhaltung von
Sondervorschriften. Bei der Montage sind die Bestimmun-
gen der BGV C1 und EN 60598-2-17 zu befolgen.
- Sorgen Sie dafür, dass sich nach Möglichkeit unterhalb der
aufgehangenen Installation keine Personen benden.
- Es ist dafür Sorge zu tragen, dass ein Sachverständiger ma-
schinentechnische und sicherheitstechnische Einrichtun-
gen vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme und nach wesentlichen
Änderungen vor der Wiederinbetriebnahme kontrolliert.
- Es ist dafür Sorge zu tragen, dass ein Sachverständiger
maschinentechnische und sicherheitstechnische Einrich-
tungen mindestens einmal im Jahr kontrolliert.
- Es ist dafür Sorge zu tragen, dass ein Sachverständiger
maschinentechnische und sicherheitstechnische Einrich-
tungen mindestens alle vier Jahre im Umfang einer Abnah-
meprüfung kontrolliert.
- Die Installationsbefestigung muss so beschaffen sein, dass
sie über die Dauer von 60 Minuten ohne nachteilige Form-
veränderung dem 10-fachen der Nutzlast standhalten kann.
- Während jeglicher Montagearbeiten ist das unnötige Auf-
halten unterhalb der Installationen strengstens untersagt.
9. Bedienung
Wenn Sie das Produkt zum ersten Mal in Betrieb nehmen,
kann es zu Rauch- und Geruchsentwicklung kommen; dies
stellt keinen Fehler dar. Vermeiden Sie es, das Produkt
schnell nacheinander mit dem Netz zu verbinden und es
wieder vom Netz zu trennen! Warten Sie immer einige Mi-
nuten bis zur nächsten Inbetrieb-, bzw. Außerbetriebnahme!
Trennen Sie nach Benutzung des Scanic LED Double Eye
Moonower DMX das Gerät wieder vom Stromnetz.
10. Bedienung
Der Scanic LED Double Eye Moonower DMX kann sowohl
in einem Stand-Alone-Modus, wie auch in einer DMX-
Ansteuerung betrieben werden. Bei einem Stand-Alone-
Betrieb steht Ihnen dabei eine umfangreiche Modiwahl
(Musiksteuerung über eingebautes Mikrofon, automatischer
Farbwechsel) zur Verfügung. Über einen DMX-Controller ist

on and following major modications, prior to the renewed
operation.
- It must be ensured that an expert inspects the mechanical
and safety-relevant installation at least once a year.
- It must be ensured that an expert inspects the mechanical
installation and the installation of relevance to safety within
the framework of an acceptance test at least every four
years.
- The installation xture must be as such that it can with-
stand for a period of 60 minutes 10 times the load capacity
without harmful deformation.
- It is prohibited for any individual to unnecessarily stay or pass
beneath the installation during any type of assembly work.
9.Operation
Operating the product for the rst time may generate smoke
and odour; this is not a defect. Avoid dis/connecting the pro-
duct repeatedly and quickly from/with mains! Always wait a
few minutes prior to the next dis/connection!
After usage disconnect the device from mains.
10. Operation Modes
The Scanic LED 6 Eyes ower DMX can be used in stand-
alone mode as well as in DMX mode. In stand-alone mode
there are various functions at your disposal (music con-
trolled operation via integtrated microphone, automatic
colour changing). Via a DMX controller it is possible to
individually operate single devices.

steuern, müssen die Geräte zunächst mit einem handels-
üblichen 3-poligen DMX-Kabel (XLR) und einem DMX-512
Steuergerät verbunden werden.
Verbinden Sie den Ausgang des ersten Gerätes mit dem
Eingang des zweiten Gerätes, den Ausgang des zweiten
Gerätes mit dem Eingang des dritten Gerätes usw.
