1. General information.
Although the utmost care has been taken with this manual, errors and omissions cannot be
entirely excluded.
Schelde Sports therefore accepts no liability, not even for direct or indirect damage occurring
due to or in relation with the application of this manual.
In all situations safety precautions must be followed; as well as stated in this manual as
general safety precautions.
2. How to use this manual.
This manual contains the instructions for the assembly of the applicable product.
Read this manual very careful before using this product, keep this manual at all times at hand.
Read instructions connected in any way to this product carefully.
To reduce the risk of serious injury, read and follow all warnings, precautions, and instructions
in this manual before using it.
3. Warning.
The backboard/ring/net paddings may only be assembled by (an) authorized person(s).
Always follow building instructions and safety regulations.
The backboard/ring/net paddings may only be used for basketball purposes; other use will
void the warranty.
Mount the backboard/ring/net paddings with a minimum of two authorized technicians.
Always mount the backboard in combination with a basketball ring.
Don’t remove the tie-die bar before the backboard is mounted. This can cause serious
accidents. The springs are tensioned extremely, when the backboard is mounted the unit
can be used safely.
At all times save the tie-down bar and the associated hardware, should the SAM
325 need to be removed. Never remove the tie-down bar without a backboard
attached and never remove the unit without a tie-down bar attached.
Handle the backboard with extreme care, it is made of glass!
4. Introduction.
Mobile basketball stand with 6 wheels at the back and 2 swivel wheels at the front,
foldable with incorporated counterweights and multiple height adjustment, with floor
pedestals and positioning pins. The unit has a standard frame padding colour blue.
The unit can be fixed to the floor by means of 2 positioning pins and 2 punch stamps at
the floor.
Meets and exceeds all requirements for top level competitions sanctioned by FIBA, NBA,
NCAA.
Equipped with framed tempered glass backboard with Pro Strength collapsible goal and
anti-whip net.
Backboard projection at regular play height is 325cm.
The unit is supplied in parts; padding set with two hinges, backboard, V-brace, backboard
padding, ring and net, partly mounted unit and a set mounting material.

5. Assembly instructions.
Step 1. Take the bolts and nuts to mount the backboard: 4x bolts M10x25 with washers M10
and 2x bolts M10x100, 2x nuts M10 and 2 washers M10.
Step 2. Take the backboard with two persons,
place it carefully at the end of the beam
and mount two bolts M10x25 at the
backside of the mounting plate of the
beam and backboard. Tighten the bolts
firmly.
Step 3. Mount the ring with the two bolts
M10x100 and nuts. Use washers on
both sides, tighten firmly.

Step 4. Mount the remaining bolts (M10x25)
with washers at the front of the ring and
tighten firmly.
Step 5. Take the V-brace and remove one M16
nut with washer. The M16 threaded end
which is welded to the V-brace has to
be mounted to the lug on the main
beam; mount the removed M16 nut with
washer.

Step 6. Mount the carriage bolts to the two
upper corners of the backboard (two in
each corner), mount the nuts hand tight.

Step 7. The backboard can be leveled now; put a water level on top of the backboard and
loosen the bolts at the back of the mounting plate of the main beam and level the
backboard.
Step 8. Tighten all bolts, carriage bolts and nuts on the backboard and the mounting plate.
Mount the cover.
Step 9. Remove the tie-down bar, this can be
done safely now. Keep the tie-down bar
on a safe and dry place, it may be
needed for future transport or when the
backboard has to be removed.

Step 10. Release the telescopic rod by removing
the pin and put the unit in playing
position, after that mount the pin again to
fix the unit.
Step 11. Now check the backboard in vertical
position: it has to be exactly plumb. The
backboard can be adjusted by the M16
nuts mounted to the lug at the main
beam. Tighten the nuts firmly.

Step 12. Mount the padding to the backboard using the bolts, the padding is equipped with 6
bolts, 4 at the bottom and 2 at the lower sides.
When the padding is mounted, it is ready for operation.

Step 13. The paddings and the covers can be mounted now, the paddingset consists out of:
one front padding hinged, one front padding (on the yoke), two side paddings.

Step 14. Slide the hinges at the front of the unit
