1. General information.
Although the utmost care has been taken with this manual, errors and omissions cannot be
entirely excluded.
Schelde Sports therefore accepts no liability, not even for direct or indirect damage occurring
due to or in relation with the application of this manual.
In all situations safety precautions must be followed; as well as stated in this manual as
general safety precautions.
2. How to use this manual.
This manual contains the instructions for the operation, storage and maintenance of the
applicable product.
Read this manual very careful before using this product, keep this manual at all times at hand.
Read instructions connected in any way to this product carefully.
To reduce the risk of serious injury, read and follow all warnings, precautions, and instructions
in this manual before using it.
3. Warning.
The SAM 245 may only be used after reading this manual.
The SAM 245 may only be operated by (an) authorized person(s).
The SAM 245 may only be used under supervision of (an) authorized person(s).
The SAM 245 may only be used for the designated purpose, other use will void the
warranty.
Lack of maintenance will void the warranty.
It is strictly forbidden to hang on the rim with more than one person.
No unauthorized persons allowed near the SAM 325 while transporting it.
At all times save the tie-down bar and the associated hardware, should the SAM
245 need to be removed. Never remove the tie-down bar without a backboard
attached and never remove the unit without a tie-down bar attached.
Store the SAM 245 in a safe and dry place.
4. Introduction.
Mobile basketball stand with 6 wheels at the back and 2 swivel wheels at the front,
foldable with incorporated counterweights and multiple height adjustment, with floor
pedestals and positioning pins. The unit has a standard frame padding colour blue.
The unit can be fixed to the floor by means of 2 positioning pins and 2 punch stamps at
the floor.
Equipped with framed tempered glass backboard with Pro Strength collapsible goal and
anti-whip net.
Backboard projection at regular play height is 245cm.

5. Operation.
Step 1. attach the backboard according to the
assembly instructions.
Step 2. tighten the silver knob on the telescopic rod.
Ensure that the pin is mounted.
Step 3. remove the tie-down bar (if mounted)

Step 4. move the unit in the “down” position to the
desired position (it is allowed to grasp the
rim and use to pull or push the unit).
Note: the picture is of a Clubmaster 225.

Step 5. fix the unit at the right place by installing the
positioning pins in the corresponding holes
and then install the punch stamps at the
front, this can be done by means of the
large bolts connected to the stamps.

Step 6. fix the anchor chain at the back of the unit to
the floor
Step 7. remove the padlock at the back of the unit

Step 8. loosen the silver knob
Step 9. raise the unit (unit on photo is clubmaster 225)

Step 10. place the pin into the telescopic rod, mount
the padlock and tighten the silver knob.
6. Options
S6.S0572 additional spring to compensate extra weight of shot clock (above 50kg).
S6.S0571 double swivel wheels.
S6.S0570 weight cart with 300kg, if floor anchoring is not possible.

7. Maintenance.
Check if all bolts and nuts are tightened.
Check wheels, damaged wheels can cause serious damage to a floor.
Check overall condition; misalignment, cracked or broken welds, excessive squeaking
or any other questionable situation.
Check net on damages.
No further maintenance is required.
8. Adjusting the springs.
When the backstop is used for some time it is possible the tension of the springs has changed
in such a way that the lifting of the backstop takes too much effort. The springs then will have
to be adjusted.
To adjust the springs take next steps:

Step 1. bring the backstop in playing position according
to the operation manual and secure it
Step 2. remove the cover plate
Step 3. the springs are tensioned by means of a rod on
which the springs are attached; loosen the
locking nuts and turn the counter nuts so that
the rod moves min. 1 cm toward the pivots.
Step 4. tighten the locking nuts.
Step 5. test the backstop: bring it in storage position
and then back in playing position, when it takes
too much effort to lift the backstop, take steps 1
to 5 again.

9. Certification.
The mobile basketball stand is certified by FIBA for top level (level 1) competitions and complies
with EN 1270: playing field equipment – Basketball equipment – Functional and safety
requirements, test methods.
