CONNECTIONS
1 Coaxial SPDIF Digital Output. Connect this
to your DAC with a high-quality cable. If you’d
like, you can even use a fancy “75 ohm” version,
though this doesn’t make a huge difference in
performance, unless you’re using some
unshielded, hand-braided thing that’s
inappropriate to digital.
2 USB Input. Connect this to your computer with
a short (2M or less) USB A-B cable that’s true
USB 2.0 rated. An old printer cable may not cut
it. Yak-hair insulated hand-braided versions may
not cut it either. You may need to install drivers
on some Windows versions. The drivers are
available at schiit.com/drivers
3 Power Switch. Up is on. Down is off.
Feel free to leave it on all the time if you like.
4 Power Input. Connect only to the
Schiit-supplied 6VAC wall-wart, or bad things
may happen.

CONTROLS
1 Power Light. When the power is switched on,
this light will illuminate.
Beyond that, there are no controls. Eitr just
does one thing: convert USB to SPDIF. It does
this very, very well, and in a very, very isolated
manner. Other than that, it doesn’t do anything.
So you don’t need controls for timing or lters or
outputs or inputs or anything like that at all.
It is probably worth noting, though, that as a
self-powered USB device, Eitr won’t show up
as an output option on your computer unless
it’s turned on. Also, depending on how your
computer handles its USB power management,
you may need to make some adjustments on
that side. If you experience glitches, drop-outs,

Schiit Audio warrants to the original purchaser that this product shall be free from defects in material
and workmanship for two (2) years from the date of purchase. If a defect covered by this warranty oc-
curs during this period, Schiit Audio will repair the defective product, free of charge. Date of purchase
will be based on customer receipts, otherwise date of manufacturing will be used.
If you believe you need warranty service, contact us rst. Schiit Audio products sent back to us
without a Return Authorization (RA) will be returned to the sender without repair. To contact us and

Warranty Limitations. This warranty shall not apply if a product: (a) is modied or tampered with;
(b) is damaged by negligence, accident, unreasonably use, or other causes unrelated to defective
materials or workmanship, or (c) has had the serial number altered or removed.
Any implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and tness for a particular purpose,
are hereby limited in duration to the warranty period of 2 years. In no event shall Schiit Audio be liable
for consequential or incidental damages resulting from the breach of any implied or expressed
warranties. Some states do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you. You may also
have other rights which vary from state to state or province to province.
