DISTRIBUTION
MODULE
POWER
CONNECTION
The Distribution Module should
be
mounted
to
a sturdy, flat, surface using ¼"(6.35mm) hardware
of
your choosing. Keep away from extreme heat sources and moving parts.
The Distribution Module is waterproof and therefore not confined
to
theengine bay. The
top
of
the unit must
be
able receive free airflow as this unit will get hot
to
thetouch.

OUTPUT
CHANNELS
Accessories should be connected
to
both, positive and negative output wires whenever possi-
ble. If it is not possible, a solid chassis ground must be used.
Select a channel/connector based on the current draw
of
the device you will be connecting. Do
not
exceed current rating for the connected channel. Use the included female pigtail connector
relevant
to
thechannel being used.
If
the wires
of
the pigtail must be extended, use appropriate
gauges below:

water
protection needed and follow
the
appropriate steps below:
• For IPX6 waterproof protection against splashing, spraying, but NOT full watersubmersion,
you may skip steps #1-2 and move
onto
step
#3.
• Forfull lPX7 waterproof protection,
if
the
MBRIX
Distribution Module is mounted
in
a place
that
it
may get temporarily submerged underwater, please follow steps #1-4.
1.
Evenly fill all female connectors with silicone grease slightly belowthe flat shoulder
of
the
connector
or
the tip
of
the pins.
2. Plug in the Male connector and make sure no excess grease squeeze out, wipe
off
or
clean
excess grease
if
needed.
3. Plug in connectors.
4. Make sure all compression brackets
on
theconnectors are properly installed and tightly
snapped in.

DISTRIBUTION
MODULE
1. The straight 8-pin male connector, connects
to
the
Distribution Module. This connectorcan
be
installed
onto
eitherone
of
the
two
female 8-pin connectors on the Distribution Module. Align
the arrow on
the
connector
to
the notch
in
the Distribution Module.
2. The female 90-degreeconnector, connects
to
the
back
of
the
Control Panel*.
Note: The cable will exit straight
down
... take care
to
align
the
tabs
and slots before pushing
the
cable in fully. There should
be
very little resistance ifaligned properly.

the 8-pin connectors on
the
Distribution
Module. Align
the
arrow

the
connector
to

IGNITION & ILLUMINATION CABLE
1. The straight 4-pin male side connects
to
the Distribution Module. Align the arrow on the
connector
to
the notch
in
the Distribution Module.
2. Pigtail: White wire -Connects
to
a switched +12VDC illumination circuit,
if
you want the
Touchscreen Control Panel
to
dim with headlights. Red wire -Connects
to
a positive side,
dash /gauge cluster illumination circuit.
Note: The cable will exit straight down... take care
to
align thetabs and slots before push-
ingthe cable in fully. There should be very little resistance
if
aligned properly.
IMPORTANT!
It
is imperative that the White wire be connected
to
a switched source. When the unit is
switched off(via the key/switch),
the
unit will save any modified settings done at the Control
Panel.

If
the
battery
power
is disconnected without first switching
the
M8RIX
off, via
the
ignition
or
added switch, any unsaved changes will
be
lost.

the Distribution
Module. The fuse should
be
closest
to
the battery.

4AWG NEGATIVE GROUND CABLE
Depending on thevehicle type, connectthe Ground Cable
to
eitherthe negative battery
terminal
or
chassis ground. The chassis ground should be clean, bare solid metal that is
grounded
to
the battery.
