CARE AND MAINTENANCE
To Clean the Wine Cooler
Make sure to unplug the wine cooler before performing any cleaning or maintenance.
To Clean and Care For the Wood Cabinet
To Clean and Care For the Stone Top
Power Interruptions or Power Failure
• Turn off the power, unplug the unit and empty all items from the shelves.
• The wire shelves can be washed with a mild detergent.
• The interior of the cooler can be wiped down with a mixture of baking soda and warm water.
The mixing ratio should be approximately one quart of water to two tablespoons of baking soda.
• When wiping down the control panel use only a dampened cloth. If it is too wet the water can
damage the electronic components.
• Never use abrasive or harsh cleaners or scrubbing pads as these can damage the surface and
finishes.
• Do not use flammable liquids to clean the wine cooler as the fumes can cause a fire hazard or
explosion.
• Do not plug or unplug the appliance if you have wet hands.
• Do not allow cleaning solutions to come in contact with the wooden parts of the cabinet.
• Dust the wood cabinet regularly with soft, non-lint producing cloth or household dusting product.
• You will usually want to avoid cleaning wood with water. However, sticky spots may need to be
treated with soap and water. Here’s how: dip the cloth in mild soap or detergent dissolved in
water, wring the cloth nearly dry, and wipe the area. Rinse and immediately dry with a clean, soft
cloth.
• Tips for using included touch up pen: For scratches, stroke in the direction of the scratch. For
worn areas, stroke in the direction of the wood grain. Rub the excess colorant promptly with a
soft clean cloth.
• Most power failures are corrected within a short time such as a few hours and should not affect
the wine coolers temperature as long as you minimize the number of times the door is opened
during the period. If the power outage is expected to last longer it is best to remove the plug from
the outlet and take the necessary actions to protect the contents of the cooler during this time.
Once power is restored you can plug the unit back into the outlet.
• Shade variations and patterns are an inherent characteristic of Stone (e.g. Granite, Marble,
Engineered Stone). Stone Tops will vary from product to product.
• Use caution when placing items on the stone surface such as fragranced soap or alcohol.
• Use a coaster or similar item to protect the surface if placing any alcohol or fragranced products
on the stone.
• If a fragranced or alcohol liquid comes in contact with the Stone Top, rinse the surface with water
and dry using a soft non-abrasive cloth.
• There are Stone Care products available at your local home center store which should be used
periodically to clean and protect the Stone Top. Follow the manufacturers directions on how to
use. Do not use products to clean the Stone Top that contain acetone, lemon, vinegar or other
acids as these may cause damage to the stone surface.
• Periodically reseal the stone top using an appropriate stone sealer available from your local
home store. Follow the manufacturers directions on how to apply.
