BUCKLE ADJUSTMENT
All S1 BOOT BUCKLES have a threaded micro adjustment as well as
the larger adjustment aorded by its toothed buckle catch.
ADJUSTING THE BUCKLES FOR DOWNHILL SKIING
›FOOT ADJUSTMENT: Be sure that the foot is all of the way back
in the boot, the heel securely in the heel pocket. Using the lower
shell buckles, choose a tooth that snugs the boot comfortably
around the foot. Turn the buckle’s metal rectangle clockwise
(tighten) or counter-clockwise (loosen) for fine adjustment.
›CUFF ADJUSTMENT: Choose a tooth that snugs the cu com-
fortably around the leg and buckle the cu buckle(s). Turn the
buckle’s metal rectangle clockwise (tighten) or counter-clockwise
(loosen) for fine adjustment. Then tighten the Buckle Strap Sys-
tem. Flex your leg back and forth a few times to see if the buckles
or Buckle Strap System need further adjustment.
›NOTE: Some skiers prefer to first snug down the Buckle Strap
System, then adjust the buckles. By tightening the Buckle Strap
first, it makes it easier to close the buckles.
ADJUSTING THE BUCKLES FOR WALKING
›Open the cu buckle(s). You can leave the buckle bail in its place
so that it is quick to switch back to ski mode. BE SURE TO ALSO
LOOSEN THE Buckle Strap System and hook it on the Lock Catch
on the inside of the cu.
