Scout Laser Rangefinder 400m/600m Overview
The Scout 400m and 600m range of laser range finders are
designed to give accurate distance measurements at the press of
a button.
Its small, lightweight and ergonomic design fits comfortably in
either hand with access to the two control buttons. Both models
come with a CR2 3v battery and lens cloth.
As well as straightforward range finding; height, height difference
and angle can be measured. There is also a ‘Scan’ mode which
can be used to build an instant ‘Range Card’.
The eye safe CE approved laser can be used for shooting,
archery, site survey and many other applications. The CR2 3v
battery should give many hours use and the auto-shutoff will
further prolong battery life.

Operation
The Scout has two buttons they are "Start' button and "Mode"
button .
1. Press button for about 0.5 second to activate the in view
LCD display system. Press the "MODE" button, two kinds of
measurement mode can be chosen, one is the
measurement of distance the other is the measurement of
angles. To toggle between Metres/Yards long-press the
"MODE" button.

2. Turn the eyepiece of the monocular until the target
becomes clear.
3. Pressing the button and the laser indicator will blink
when laser is transmitting, if the reflection of target is too
weak the LCD will display "- - - -". Figure 3A and 3B are two
different measurements of the location of the target .
4. Hold down the to start scanning, as you move the various
ranges will appear in the display. The top left of the screen
displays the scan character SCAN, release the key, stop
ranging.
5. If no functions are selected the unit will power automatically
power off after 20 seconds.
6. When the battery symbol is shown the battery is low
on power and should be replaced.
7. The type of target, ground cover and range may affect the
quality of the reflected laser but in normal circumstances
accurate measurements will result.
