instructions, and properly maintained, give you years of trouble free performance.

1. SAFETY
WARNING! Ensure Health & Safety, local authority, and general workshop practice regulations are adhered to when using this
equipment.
WARNING! Always wear approved eye or face protection when operating the torch.
WARNING! Butane gas is extremely flammable, handle with care.
WARNING! Always point the torch away from the eyes and body when igniting and during operation.
WARNING! Ensure the Gas Controller Knob is firmly closed and the flame completely extinguished after use.
WARNING! DO NOT puncture the cartridge or dispose of in a fire.
8DO NOT use the torch in an area where paint fumes, solvents or other flammable solids, liquids or gases pose a potential hazard.
Keep flammable material away from the torch when operating. Flammable waste, such as wiping or cleaning rags, must be placed in a
closed metal container and disposed of correctly.
8DO NOT operate the torch when you are tired or under the influence of alcohol, drugs or intoxicating medication.
8DO NOT hold the workpiece by hand. Use clamps or a vice (not included) to secure the workpiece.
8DO NOT operate the torch if any parts are damaged or missing as this may cause failure and/or possible personal injury.
8DO NOT touch the workpiece close to the heated area as it will be very hot. Allow to cool.
8DO NOT touch the burner tube during or immediately after use as it will be very hot. Allow to cool.
8DO NOT leave the torch operating unattended.
8DO NOT use this torch continuously for longer than one hour.
8DO NOT allow children to operate the torch.
9Disconnect the gas cartridge when not in use. Store cartridge away from direct sunlight in a safe, dry, childproof area, where the
temperature will not exceed 40°C (104°F).
9After use, allow the torch to cool before storing it.
IMPORTANT! Observe cautions on the gas cartridge label.
2. INTRODUCTION
Impact resistant, contoured grip torch with stainless steel burner
nozzle for professional use. Anti-are feature enables use of the
gun at any angle - even upside down. 1300°C Maximum ame
temperature. Piezoelectric ignition for ease of use. Accepts
standard Butane self-sealing cartridges (not included, order Model
No. SCS035)

4. ASSEMBLY
4.1. Ensure that the control knob is turned off (fully clockwise)
before assembling.
4.2. Keep the gas cartridge upright when fitting to the torch.
4.3. Position the torch valve over the cartridge valve and
carefully screw the cartridge into the torch until it meets
the O-ring of the torch valve - take care to avoid cross-
threading.
WARNING! DO NOT overtighten as this can damage the
cartridge valve.

5. OPERATION
5.1. Shake gas cylinder for a few moments.
5.2. Turn the control knob anti-clockwise for 1/2 turn. Gas should now be “hissing” from the burner tube.
5.3. Being sure to point the torch away from yourself and others, press the ignition button.
5.4. Adjust the flame by turning the control knob either clockwise (-) or anti-clockwise (+). Recommended inner flame length is 10 - 20mm.
5.5. To extinguish the torch, turn the control knob fully clockwise.
5.6. Once the torch has cooled, unscrew the cartridge for storage.
NOTE: In cold conditions it is advisable to pre-warm the cartridge to room temperature before operation. HEAT GENTLY - DO NOT use a
heat source attaining temperatures above 40°C (104°F).
6. TROUBLESHOOTING
6.1. If the torch is moved rapidly, tilted too far to the side or upside down, the flame may flare or extinguish. To prevent this, adjust the inner
flame to 6.5mm and let the torch warm up for 3 minutes prior to such movement. Slowly lengthen flame as necessary, once the torch
is in the desired position.

ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be sorted, taken to
a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment. When the product becomes completely
unserviceable and requires disposal, drain any fluids (if applicable) into approved containers and dispose of the product and fluids
according to local regulations.
