1. SAFETY
WARNING! Ensure Health & Safety, local authority, and general workshop practice regulations are adhered to when using
this equipment.
WARNING! Always wear approved eye / face protection when operating the torch.
WARNING! Butane gas is extremely ammable, handle with care. Follow instructions on butane re-ller can when relling.
WARNING! Always point the torch away from the eyes and body when igniting and during operation.
WARNING! Ensure the ame is completely extinguished after use.
WARNING! Only use in a well ventilated area.
8DO NOT use the torch in an area where paint fumes, solvents or other ammable solids, liquids or gases pose a potential hazard.
9 Keep ammable material away from the torch when operating.
8DO NOT operate the torch when you are tired or under the inuence of alcohol, drugs or intoxicating medication.
8DO NOT hold any work piece by hand.
8DO NOT touch the work piece close to the heated area as it will be very hot. Allow to cool.
8DO NOT operate the torch if it is damaged as this may cause failure and/or possible personal injury.
8DO NOT touch the top of the torch during or immediately after use, as it will be very hot. Allow to cool.
8DO NOT leave the torch operating unattended.
8DO NOT use this torch continuously for longer than 5 minutes.
8DO NOT allow children to operate the torch.
9 After use, allow the torch to cool before storing it.
9When not in use, store away from direct sunlight in a safe, dry,
childproof location.
2. INTRODUCTION
Stylish design with piezoelectric ignition. Produces a flame of approximately
1300°C. Powered by Butane (lighter fuel, see Sealey model no. SCS035S) and
when full can produce a flame for up to 30 minutes (not to be used continuously
for more than five minutes). Suitable for use in extreme weather conditions.
Ideal for soft soldering, camping, household repairs and a variety of general
purpose uses. Supplied with key chain.
3. OPERATION
3.1. FILLING
3.1.1. Allow to cool before relling.
3.1.2. Turn the torch so that the ll valve (g.1) is facing upwards. Press nozzle of Butane fuel re-ller can into lling valve and ll torch.
Allow fuel to warm for 5 minutes before use.
3.2. USE
3.2.1. Press the lower part of the ignition trigger release (g.1) at it’s bottom (marked PUSH) to release the ame nozzle cover and at the
same time depress the ignition trigger. The piezoelectric ignition system will operate and the ame will ignite.
3.2.2. To adjust ame, ip up the semi-circular adjuster in the base and rotate it C/W to shorten ame and ACW to increase it.
NOTE: If the adjuster is left set too high or too low, the torch may not re-light next time, so re-set after use.
3.2.3. To turn o, release the Ignition Button. Close the Flame Nozzle Cover to protect the nozzle.
NOTE: The cover is NOT designed to turn o the ame, DO NOT close it when the ame is still lit.
8DO NOT use continuously for more than 5 minutes. Allow to cool for a minute before re-lighting.
