1.2. WORK AREA SAFETY
9Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
8DO NOT operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of ammableliquids,gasesordust.Powertools
create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
9 Keepchildrenandbystandersawaywhileoperatingapowertool.Distractionscancause you to lose control.
1.3. PERSONAL SAFETY
9Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. DO NOT use a power tool while you are
tiredorundertheinuenceofdrugs,alcoholormedication.Amomentofinattentionwhileoperatingpowertoolsmayresultinserious
personalinjury.
9 Usepersonalprotectiveequipment.Alwaysweareyeprotection.Protectiveequipmentsuchasdustmask,non-skidsafetyshoes,
hardhat,orhearingprotectionusedforappropriateconditionswillreducepersonalinjuries.
9 Preventunintentionalstarting.Ensuretheswitchisintheo-positionbeforeconnectingtopowersourceand/orbatterypack,picking
up or carrying the tool.
9 Carryingpowertoolswithyourngerontheswitchorenergisingpowertoolsthathavetheswitchoninvitesaccidents.
9 Removeanyadjustingkeyorwrenchbeforeturningthepowertoolon.
8DO NOToverreach.Keepproperfootingandbalanceatalltimes.Thisenablesbettercontrol of the power tool in unexpected
situations.
9Dress properly. DO NOT wearlooseclothingorjewellery.Keepyourhair,clothingand gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes,
jewelleryorlonghaircanbecaughtinmovingparts.
9If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used.
1.4. POWER TOOL USE AND CARE
8DO NOT forcethepowertool.Usethecorrectpowertoolforyourapplication.Thecorrectpowertoolwilldothejobbetterandsafer
at the rate for which it was designed.
8DO NOTusethepowertooliftheswitchdoesnotturnitonando.Anypowertoolthatcannotbecontrolledwiththeswitchis
dangerousandmustberepaired.
WARNING!Removethebatterypackfromthepowertoolbeforemakinganyadjustments,changingaccessories,or
storing power tools.
9Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to

the power tool is maintained.Unauthorisedpartsmaybedangerousandwillinvalidatethewarranty.

WARNING! Keep all guards and holding screws in place, tight and in good working order.

9Before each use check all attachments for condition. If worn or damaged replace immediately.

panel.

8DO NOT get the polisher wet or use in damp or wet locations or areas where there is condensation.
8DO NOT allow untrained persons to operate the polisher.
9When not in use, unplug from the mains power supply and store in a safe, dry, childproof area.

4. ASSEMBLY

4.1. INSTALLING/REMOVING BACKING PAD (g.1)
4.1.1. Toinstallthebackingpad,presstheshaftlockbutton(g.1.1)topreventspindlerotationandthenturnthebackingpad(g.1.2)
anticlockwiseasfarasitcango.Toremovethebackingpad,followtheinstallprocedureinreverse.
4.2. ADJUST HANDLE ANGLE(g.2)
4.2.1. Loosenthehexboltonbothsidesofthetoolanticlockwisewithahexwrench(g.2.1)andthenadjusttheangleoftheauxiliary
handle.Selectonepositionsuitableforyourwork.
4.2.2. Tightenthehexboltonbothsidesclockwiseasfarasitcango.
4.3. INSTALLING/REMOVING POLISHING PAD
4.3.1. Toinstallthepad,rstremovealldirtandforeignmatterfromthehook-and-loopsystemofthepadandthebackingpad.Attachthe
padtothebackingpadsothattheiredgesarealigned.
4.3.2. Toremovethepadfromthebackingpad,justpullupfromitsedge.
4.4. SWITCHING ON/OFF(g.3)
4.4.1. Depresstriggerlockbutton(g.3.1)toenablethetrigger(g.3.2)tobepulled.
4.4.2. Toolspeedcanbeadjustedbysqueezingorreleasingthetrigger.
4.4.3. Tostopthetool,fullyreleasethetrigger.

5. MAINTENANCE
WARNING!Beforeattemptinganymaintenance,removethebattery.
WARNING! Wear approved safety eye protection and respiratory protection.
5.1. Keep the machine clean and dry. DO NOTuseabrasivesorsolventsto
clean the unit. Ensure all external head screws are tight.
5.2. Regularly clean the dust covers on the air vents for smooth air circulation.
5.3. Removethedustcoversandcleanthemesh(g.5).
5.4. Whennotinuse,removethebatteryandstoreinasafe,drychildprooflocation.
WARNING! – Risk of Hand Arm Vibration Injury.
This tool may cause Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome if its use is not managed adequately.

NB: StatedVibrationEmissionvaluesaretype-testvaluesandareintendedtobetypical.
Whilstinuse,theactualvaluewillvaryconsiderablyfromanddependonmanyfactors.
Suchfactorsinclude;theoperator,thetaskandtheinsertedtoolorconsumable.
NB:ensurethatthelengthofleaderhosesissufficienttoallowunrestricteduse,asthisalsohelpstoreducevibration.
State of maintenance of the tool itself is also an important factor, a poorly maintained tool will also increase risk of Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome.
Health surveillance.
Werecommendaprogrammeofhealthsurveillancetodetectearlysymptomsofvibrationinjurysothatmanagementprocedurescanbemodified
accordingly.
Personal protective equipment.
Wearenotawareofanypersonalprotectiveequipment(PPE)thatprovidesprotectionagainstvibrationinjurythatmayresultfromthe
uncontrolleduseofthistool.Werecommendasufficientsupplyofclothing(includinggloves)toenabletheoperatortoremainwarmanddryand
maintaingoodbloodcirculationinfingersetc.Pleasenotethatthemosteffectiveprotectionisprevention,pleaserefertotheCorrectUseand
