instructions, and properly maintained, give you years of trouble free performance.

1. SAFETY
WARNING! Ensure Health & Safety, local authority, and general workshop practice regulations are adhered to when using
this equipment.
WARNING! Disconnect from air supply before changing accessories or servicing.
9Maintain the polisher in good condition (use an authorised service agent).
9Replace or repair damaged parts. Use genuine parts only. Unauthorised parts may be dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.
9Use in a suitable clean and tidy work area and ensure there is adequate lighting.
9Before each use check pads for condition. If worn or damaged replace immediately.
9Ensure the pad rating is the same as, or, greater than the RPM rating of the polisher.
9Ensure there are no flammable or combustible materials near the work area.
WARNING! Always wear approved eye or face and hand protection when operating the polisher.
9Use face, dust, or respiratory protection in accordance with COSHH regulations.
9Remove ill fitting clothing. Remove ties, watches, rings, other loose jewellery and contain and/or tie back long hair.
9Maintain correct balance and footing. Ensure the floor is not slippery and wear non-slip shoes.
9Keep children and unauthorised persons away from the work area.
9Check moving parts alignment on a regular basis.
9Ensure workpiece is secure before operating the polisher. Never hold a workpiece by hand.
9Check the workpiece to ensure there are no protruding screws, bolts, nuts, nails, stones, etc.
9Avoid unintentional starting.
WARNING! Ensure correct air pressure is maintained and not exceeded. Recommended pressure - 90psi.
9Keep air hose away from heat, oil and sharp edges. Check air hose for wear before each use and ensure
9that all connections are secure.
9Prolonged exposure to vibration from this polisher poses a health risk. It is the owner’s responsibility to correctly assess the potential
hazard and issue guidelines for safe periods of use and offer suitable protective equipment.
8DO NOT use the polisher for a task it is not designed to perform.
8DO NOT operate polisher if any parts are damaged or missing as this may cause failure and/or personal injury.
WARNING! DO NOT polish any materials containing asbestos.
8DO NOT carry the polisher by the hose, or yank the hose from the air supply.
8DO NOT force, or apply heavy pressure to the polisher, let the polisher do the work.
8DO NOT place air line attachments close to your face and DO NOT point at other persons or animals.
8DO NOT operate polisher when you are tired or under the influence of alcohol, drugs or intoxicating medication.
8DO NOT use polisher where there are flammable liquids, solids or gases such as paint solvents and including waste wiping or cleaning
rags etc.
8DO NOT carry the polisher with your finger on the power lever.
8DO NOT direct air from the air hose at yourself or others.
9When not in use disconnect from air supply and store in a safe, dry, childproof location.
2. INTRODUCTION
Supplied with Ø75mm hook-and-loop pad for use with bung and polishing heads. Composite lightweight housing reduces eects of chill
on operator’s hands. Adjustable speed control on side of motor housing. Air motor with quality bearings for smooth and powerful operation.
Integral gear system reduces output speed, still maintaining a high torque level. Suitable for the professional workshop.

4. OPERATION
4.1. AIR SUPPLY
4.1.1. Ensure the polisher trigger is in the “O” position before connecting to the air supply.
4.1.2. You will require an air pressure of 90psi, and an air flow according to the specifications.
WARNING! Ensure the air supply is clean and does not exceed 90psi while operating the polisher.
4.1.3. Too high an air pressure and/or unclean air will shorten the product life due to excessive wear, and may be dangerous, causing
damage and/or personal injury.
4.1.4. Drain the air tank daily. Water in the air line will damage the polisher and will invalidate your warranty.
4.1.5. Clean air inlet filter weekly. Recommended hook-up procedure is shown in fig.1.
4.1.6. Line pressure should be increased to compensate for unusually long air hoses (over 8 metres).
4.1.7. The minimum hose diameter should be 1/4” I.D. and fittings must have the same inside dimensions.
4.1.8. Keep hose away from heat, oil and sharp edges. Check hoses for wear and make certain that all connections are secure.
4.2. COUPLINGS (gs.1 & 2.)
4.2.1. Vibration may cause failure if a quick change coupling is connected directly to the air polisher. To overcome this, connect
a leader hose to the polisher. A quick change coupling may then be used to connect the leader hose to the air line recoil hose.
WARNING! Ensure you read, understand and apply the safety instructions in Section 1 before use.
4.3. ASSEMBLY
4.3.1. Screw the backing pad into the polisher spindle, then tighten with supplied spanner. Attach the compounding pad, only use pads
with speed ratings equal to or higher than the speed rating of the polisher.
8DO NOT use cloth backed polishing pads.
4.3.2. Connect air supply to polisher and press the trigger (g.3C) to check that the polisher is working correctly.
4.4. OPERATING
4.4.1. The polisher speed can be changed by switching the thumb control on the side of the polisher (g.3A).
4.4.2. Operate the polisher by depressing the trigger (g.3C).
4.4.3. Always use a polishing compound appropriate for the job.
8DO NOT apply excessive pressure, let the polisher do the work for you. Start the
polisher and bring the polishing pad to the work surface evenly and slowly. Move the
polisher back and forth in overlapping areas.
4.4.4. Remove the polishing pad from the work surface before stopping the polisher.
4.4.5. Regularly check the polishing pad for wear, always change if worn or damaged.
8DO NOT allow polisher to run in “idle rotation” for an extended period of time as this will
reduce bearing life.
5. MAINTENANCE
WARNING! Disconnect polisher from air supply before changing accessories, servicing or performing maintenance. Replace or
repair damaged parts. Use genuine parts only. Unauthorised parts may be dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.
5.1. If the air supply does not have an oiler lubricate the air polisher daily with a few drops of good grade air tool oil such as Sealey
ATO/500 or ATO/1000, dripped into the air inlet before use.
5.2. Clean the polisher after use and change pads when required.
5.3. Loss of power or erratic action may be due to the following:
a) Excessive drain on the air line. Moisture or restriction in the air pipe. Incorrect size or type of hose connectors. To remedy
check the air supply and follow instructions in Section 3.
b) Grit or gum deposits in the polisher may also reduce performance. If your model has an air strainer (located in the area of
the air inlet), remove the strainer and clean it. Flush the polisher out with gum solvent oil or an equal mixture of SAE No
10 oil and kerosene. Allow to dry before use.
5.4. If problems continue, contact your local Sealey service agent.
5.5. For a full service contact your local Sealey service agent.
5.6. When not in use, disconnect from air supply, clean polisher and store in a safe, dry, childproof location.

ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be sorted, taken to
a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment. When the product becomes completely
unserviceable and requires disposal, drain any fluids (if applicable) into approved containers and dispose of the product and fluids
according to local regulations.

This tool may cause Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome if its use is not managed adequately.
This tool is subject to the vibration testing section of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
This tool is to be operated in accordance with these instructions.

Please note that the application of the tool to a sole specialist task may produce a different average vibration emission. We recommend that a
specific evaluation of the vibration emission is conducted prior to commencing with a specialist task.
A health and safety assessment by the user (or employer) will need to be carried out to determine the suitable duration of use for each tool.
NB: Stated Vibration Emission values are type-test values and are intended to be typical.
Whilst in use, the actual value will vary considerably from and depend on many factors.
Such factors include; the operator, the task and the inserted tool or consumable.
NB: ensure that the length of leader hoses is sufficient to allow unrestricted use, as this also helps to reduce vibration.
The state of maintenance of the tool itself is also an important factor, a poorly maintained tool will also increase the risk of Hand Arm Vibration
Syndrome.
Health surveillance.
We recommend a programme of health surveillance to detect early symptoms of vibration injury so that management procedures can be
modified accordingly.
Personal protective equipment.
We are not aware of any personal protective equipment (PPE) that provides protection against vibration injury that may result from the
uncontrolled use of this tool. We recommend a sufficient supply of clothing (including gloves) to enable the operator to remain warm and dry
and maintain good blood circulation in fingers etc. Please note that the most effective protection is prevention, please refer to the Correct Use
and Maintenance section in these instructions. Guidance relating to the management of hand arm vibration can be found on the HSC website
