more than 90psi.
3Keep air hose away from heat, oil and sharp edges. Check air hose for wear before each use and ensure
that all connections are secure.
3Prolonged exposure to vibration from this polisher poses a health risk. It is the owner’s responsibility to
correctly assess the potential hazard and issue guidelines for safe periods of use and offer suitable
protective equipment.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR:
AIR ANGLE POLISHER
75mm
MODEL No: SA704
1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Original Language Version SA704 Issue: 1 - 12/10/11
fig.1

3.1. Air Supply
3.1.1. Ensure the polisher air control valve (or throttle) is in the "Off" position before connecting to the air supply.
3.1.2. You will require an air pressure of 90psi, and an air flow according to the specification above.
3.1.3. pWARNING! Ensure the air supply is clean and does not exceed 90psi while operating the polisher.
Too high an air pressure and/or unclean air will shorten the product life due to excessive wear, and may
be dangerous, causing damage and/or personal injury.
3.1.4. Drain the air tank daily. Water in the air line will damage the polisher and will invalidate your warranty.
3.1.5. Clean air inlet filter weekly. Recommended hook-up procedure is shown in fig.2.
3.1.6. Line pressure should be increased to compensate for unusually long air hoses (over 8 metres).
The minimum hose diameter should be 1/4” I.D. and fittings must have the same inside dimensions.
3.1.7. Keep hose away from heat, oil and sharp edges. Check hoses for wear and make certain that all
connections are secure.
3.2. Couplings
3.2.1 Vibration may cause failure if a quick change coupling is connected directly to the air polisher.
To overcome this, connect a leader hose to the polisher. A quick change coupling may then be used to
connect the leader hose to the air line recoil hose. See figs.2 & 3.
pWARNING! Ensure you read, understand and apply the safety instructions in Section 1 before use.
4.1. Assembly
4.1.1. Screw the backing pad into the polisher spindle, then tighten with supplied spanner. Apply the polishing
disc, use only discs with speed ratings equal to or higher than the speed rating of the polisher.
DO NOT use cloth backed polishing discs.
4.1.2. Connect air supply to polisher, slide the safety catch (fig.1.1) and press the control valve lever (fig.1.2) to
check that the polisher is working correctly.
4.1.3. The air flow may be regulated by adjusting the regulator valve in the back of the handle.
4.2. Operating
4.2.1. The polisher is designed to provide a combined “rotary” and “random orbit” action.
4.2.2. Always use a polish appropriate for the job.
Composite handle with rear exhaust reduces effects of
chill and noise level. Air motor with quality bearings for
smooth and powerful operation. Fitted with safety
trigger to prevent inadvertent operation. Integral gear
system reduces output speed, while maintaining a high
torque level. Supplied with hook-and-loop pad for use
with buffing and polishing heads - for full range see

p WARNING!Disconnect polisher from air supply before changing accessories, servicing or performing
maintenance.Replace or repair damaged parts. Use genuine parts only. Unauthorised parts may be
dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.
5.1. If the air supply does not have an oiler lubricate the air polisher daily with a few drops of good grade air
tool oil such as Sealey ATO/500 or ATO/1000, dripped into the air inlet before use.
5.2. Clean the polisher after use and change pads when required.
5.3. Loss of power or erratic action may be due to the following:
a) Excessive drain on the air line. Moisture or restriction in the air pipe. Incorrect size or type of hose
connectors. To remedy check the air supply and follow instructions in Section 3.
b) Grit or gum deposits in the polisher may also reduce performance. If your model has an air strainer
(located in the area of the air inlet), remove the strainer and clean it. Flush the polisher out with gum
solvent oil or an equal mixture of SAE No 10 oil and kerosene. Allow to dry before use.
If problems continue, contact your local Sealey service agent.
5.4. For a full service contact your local Sealey service agent.
5.5. When not in use, disconnect from air supply, clean polisher and store in a safe, dry, childproof location.

5. MAINTENANCE
Risk of Hand Arm Vibration Injury
Air Angle Polisher 75mm. Model No: SA704 when operated in accordance with these instructions and tested in
accordance with BS EN 28662-1:1993, ISO 8662-1:1988 and BS EN ISO 28927-3:2009 results in the
following vibration emission declared in accordance with BS EN 12096:1996.
Measured vibration emission value: 0.41/m/s² Uncertainty: 0.16m/s²
These values are suitable for comparison with emission levels of other tools that have been subject to the same
test.
This tool may cause hand-arm vibration syndrome if its use is inadequately managed.
Recommended Measures to reduce risk of hand-arm vibration syndrome:
This item represents a low Hand Arm Vibration risk to users. The calculated maximum usage period exceeds 8
hours. We recommend appropriate safety equipment is utilised and regular breaks for the operator are employed
to reduce any residual risk of fatigue or repetitive strain injury.
4.2.3. DO NOT go from coarse to fine in one step as it may be difficult to remove swirl marks left by the coarse
grit.
4.2.4. DO NOT apply excessive pressure, let the polisher do the work for you. Start the polisher and bring the
polishing disc to the work surface evenly and slowly. Move the polisher back and forth in overlapping
areas.
4.2.5. Remove the polishing disc from the work surface before stopping the polisher. Regularly check the
polishing disc for wear, always change if cracked or damaged.
4.2.6. DO NOT allow polisher to run in “idle rotation” for an extended period of time as this will reduce bearing
life.
