INTRODUCTIONINTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION
Winma-L100 is a linear winding machine made to wind the coils with wire gauge of
0.01mm – 1.00mm. The x-axis movement i.e. maximum traverse movement is 99.9mm. The
machine is controlled by electronics and the software s ecially designed for this machine.
Machine controlling arameters can be edited using keys and with the hel of dis lay. The
user can edit and save u to 499 different rograms which hel s in avoiding the re-editing of
the rogram.
The character dis lay in the machine dis lays 16 characters in 2 lines. The editable
character is shown using blinking cursor in the dis lay. The cursor moves according to the
‘LEFT’ and ‘RIGHT’ key ress. The value can be increased from 0-9 by ressing ‘UP’ key and
can be decreased by ressing ‘DOWN’ key. The dis lay shows many different windows for
editing the arameter. The user must read the manual carefully before editing the rograms.
The dis lay has a main menu from where the required action can be selected. In the main
menu there are 3 o tions available EDIT, COPY and RUN. The user has to select which
function he needs to do. For selecting the functions he has to ress ‘LEFT’ or ‘RIGHT’ key
according to the curser osition and ‘ENTER’ key for selecting the o tion.

Seallence Page 3
After selecting the o tions the window in the dis lay shows the corres onding data
as given in later ages of this manual.
•Three things ha ens once the machine is switched on
1. Traverse comes to home osition and the main window will a ear if the rograms
are em ty or if the run function is not selected reviously.
2. Traverse comes to home osition and the traverse goes to the initial osition of
winding. The run window will a ear and it is ready to run the machine.
3. Traverse doesn’t come to home osition but it will stay their itself. This is because
reviously the machine is switched of while running or while it is in sto mode. This
is ause function which hel s in winding, when ower goes in the middle of winding.
In the first case the machine traverse goes to home osition and the dis lay shows
the main window. In the second case the machine initializes to the winding osition set in
the rogram, which is selected for winding. In the third case, the machine is already in the
middle of winding. So by ressing ‘START’ switch the user can continue the winding rocess.

Parameter Setting
Setting the right arameter is very im ortant to obtain fine out ut. The user has to
adjust some arameters which are very critical and res onsible for the smooth o eration.
The user must aware about some arameters which are de ending on other arameters.
Software is well develo ed so it avoids error in arameter set. Means the dis lay shows the
error, when the user enters the irregular data. Here is the arameters which are
interde endent,
1. ‘Winding turns’ & ‘Deceleration turns’: Parameters 1 & 2 are interde endent.
The arameter deceleration turn should not exceed the total winding turns.
2. ‘Bobbin width’ & ‘Traverse start’: Parameters 4 & 12. Total winding width i.e.
traverse x-axis movement should not exceed 99.9mm. Hence the bobbin width +
traverse start value </= 99.9mm.
3. ‘Winding turns’ & ‘Ta turns’: Parameter 1 & 11. Ta turns should not exceed
the winding turns. And the data in arameter 11 series should be
TAP[01] < TAP[02] < TAP[03] < TAP[04] < TAP[05] < TAP[06] < TAP[07] < TAP[08].
4. ‘Bobbin width’ & ‘Deceleration width’: Parameter 4 & 5. Deceleration width
should be less than total winding width.

from their itself.
h. PASSWORD: Before editing the rogram the assword menu will a ear asking for
assword. Enter the required assword to go in.
Procedure to change the password
•In window “ENTER PASSWORD”
00000
Edit the correct assword and ress and hold the ‘START’ button then ress ‘ENTER’
key. The dis lay shows
•“CHANGE PASSWORD”

SHORTCUT OPERATIONs
a. The running machine shows the turns and RPM values on the dis lay. And to know the
set s eed ercentage in running, ress and hold the ‘START’ key.
b. Wire diameter can also be edited in ‘RUN’ mode. To do this, sto the running machine if
the machine is running or if it is not started yet, then ress the ‘ENTER’ key until the
dis lay shows the wire diameter edit menu and release once it dis lays. Edit the
required itch and ress again ‘ENTER’ key to take changes. This o tion hel s in setting
